I got this software to transfer my WhatsApp data from my iPhone to my new Android. I was a little unsure at first, because I've tried transferring with another software before and it took a long time (around 7 hours) to copy, and it also didn't keep any of my starred messages.

I followed Backuptrans' guide step-by-step and ran into an issue in the middle of the process (wasn't able to install a different version of WhatsApp on my new device), so I contacted support. And they were really helpful! They got back to me very quickly and helped me out with my issue, sending me different guides and download links, and it finally worked - including all media and starred messages!
And the whole process only took about an hour (I had a lot of data and media).

I usually don't write reviews, but I must admit that product saved me a lot of pain. I bought the full version as I had over 20.000 whatsapp messages which I didn't want to lose.
I had to transfer from Android to Iphone via Windows.
The program was straight forward, all steps were explained in a very good way. Please makes sure to check out the different guides on their website as well in case you need to troubleshoot anything. I'm quite tech-savvy, so it wasn't an issue for me to find solutions based on the guides, but I think their guides are quite good. Only issue I had was to connect the Iphone to the program. You will need to download the latest version of Itunes and then connect it. After that windows and the program could connect. Also, I had the issue that I didn't have two sim cards, so I couldn't transfer from my Android device directly to the iphone. Don't worry you can download your messages to a local file on your pc and then afterwards transfer it from your PC after you have moved your sim to the Iphone and set up whatsapp on it. All my whatsapp messages are back on the Iphone and I can vouch for it that it works. Best invested £15 in a long time.

Quick update, unfortunately it didn't transfer the pictures and videos properly. Picture are blurry unfortunately, but if you save your whatsupp pictures anyway in the cloud then you should have no problem to find them in your google photos or icloud.

Using this software can be very frustrating. The design itself is simple but not very nice to look at or intuitive. Descriptions of what to do definitely could contain more detail to fully understand what all steps or at least a basic step-by-step description should be provided right from the start. You should do the WhatsApp Chat transfer right from the beginning before downloading many apps, photos, etc. as this software will copy the entire content from your iPhone onto your computer and then copy it back on your iPhone, meaning that if you have many photos and apps already installed, your hard drive on your computer could be full quickly. The very first time I used this software, everything seemed to be working well, however, once all data was copied back onto my iPhone including the old WhatsApp Chat, I had to restart my phone (as described in the software) and nothing worked anymore. My iPhone went into boot loop. I had to completely restore my phone with everything on it deleted. The process of getting to the restore option took ages and the restore process itself too. Sadly, I already transferred photos and downloaded apps before doing the WhatsApp Chat transfer, so a whole lot of work was for nothing. With anger and frustration I tried this process again, as I had nothing to loose, as everything on my iPhone was deleted already after restoring it. The second time with merely no data on my phone the transfer thankfully worked!! So all in all this software does its job was promoted, but you absolutely do need to backup separately before starting with the WhatsApp transfer or do it right from the beginning when no data is on your phone, just in case the same thing will happened as it happened to me...boot loop. I used the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Therefore, I understand the 1-Star Ratings for this software here, as the exact same thing happened to me (the boot loop and nothing working anymore) but thankfully the iPhone could be restored and with the second approach this software actually did its job. Nonetheless, the software does not look and feel much trustworthy to me...

Had the same issue as gkmy above. Paid for license and followed all instructions accurately for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max. Now the phone is stuck on a boot loop which I can't get out of! This software has broken my brand new phone!

Worst experience ever, .. .

Because of its good reputation I decided to use this Software to transfer my Whatsapp Messages and Media from an Huawei Mate 20 Pro to an iPhone 12 Pro. The local Import from the Android Device wasn't that easy but it worked in the end. But the transfer to iPhone was a Desaster.

I followed every step of their instruction online and in their program. Ende up with a brand new and finish set up iPhone 12 Pro in a boot loop, ...

Wasn't able to repair it and had to factory reset the iPhone. After it took me almost half an hour to connect the looping iPhone, ...

I red some of the reviews here - so I decided to directly open a case with PayPal. Hope I will get my money back.

EDIT: thx for the answer and the bugfix, ... nearly 2 weeks after my iPhone 12 Pro crashed because of your software. You don't push software, if it's not working, ... just refund my money!

Absolute waste of money. You will be lucky to get it to work and am surprised that so many are so positive about this software. Very little customer support and repetitive answers to attempt to put it right. They continually say to reboot and do the same things over. Struggling to get my money back even though I have asked for this many times. Cannot spend any more time on this. The software requires a high standard of understanding and asks you to follow a complex instructions to carry out the change from android to iphone transfer. It is deliberate that they sell many versions of it so that you spend and dont bother asking for money back. Registration of the software an absolute pain as it worked first time but then it doesnt work at all so only allows 20 whatsapp messages to be transferred. In short Rubbish.

It works!!!!! Heck yeah!!!

It was a pain in my ass to figure it out. That says moe about my skills.
But the times I bumped into an issue or error I emailed support and they always replayed within 24hrs if it was not within 4hrs. With a short and clear response that always worked and made me continue in the next steps.

And it worked!!!

IPhone stores and WhatsApp customer service have no idea this option is there. I called them to ask if they knew a way but they replayed it was not possible to transfer WhatsApp history from Android to IPhone.

But, not true! With backuptrans it is possible!

Following it step by step. Have patient. Ask support if you have an issue and continue again from there. It works!

I am away from home for longer then expected now so my WhatsApp history is a peace of home at the moment. ❤️

I needed a tool to transfer Whatsapp from iphone to android. Noticed their solution. Unfortunately I selected and paid the wrong transfer solutions (SMS/MMS/iMessage). I ordered the correct one afterwards and their tool worked successful. I've asked for a refund on the wrong ordered and paid option and they paid it back the next business day and communicated correctly by mail. Good service and better tool. Thanks !

I fully expected to waste my money buying this but the software worked and I managed to transfer all WhatsApp messages from my old Samsung to an iPhone. I followed their documentation and when I got stuck I got in touch with customer service - they replied quickly and guided me through the process. This in itself is quite long (we’ve got WhatsApp to thank for not making that easier). In any case I was happy with my purchase and relieved I didn’t lose years of messages.

Their software does what it promises, they responded to my technical question by e-mail within 2 hours. I was able to transfer all my WhatsApp messages & media in several steps from my iPhone 6s to Samsung Galaxy S10 plus within 20-25 minutes.
