Don't use this bank

Don't use this bank, it is a terrible service. People can only work to procedures.
When you cancel your account, Sabadell is not cancelling the via-t card and I had to make 3 telephone calls to pay €2,60 and cancell my via-t card.
Terrible

Avoid like the plague. Worst bank in Spain.

Why is there only a 1 to 5 star review system? Sabadell deserves zero stars. It's not a bank, it's a joke. Verging on a criminal enterprise. Besides the usual Spanish customer service routine of being ignored, disrespected and spoken down to by lazy, incompetent and frankly, stupid staff, they constantly rip you off with fake charges and commissions. At one point, I owed then 9000 euro in missed mortgage payments after tenants skipped without paying rent for months, I tried to pay off the debt in one payment. They told me I owed them 39000. An absolute joke. It took months of legal action and a visit to the branch by myself where I went absolutely crazy, for them to "suddenly discover" the error. Avoid this bank like the plague. They are the worst.

0 stars in reality

0 stars in reality. No communication. Terrible customer service. It takes months to get them to action a simple admin task (I'm still waiting for them to update my married surname after 5 years even after visiting the Orba branch and them photocopying all the required documents) They never reply to emails. Never reply via numerous cries for help via the website. Oh but they charge you fees at every opportunity but I really don't know what I'm paying for. Like others here, I'm trying to upload documents with no joy so they've frozen deposits to my account. Do not use this bank. I've had 12 years of them. You'd get better help, support and communication from the Bank of Mattress.

Que ing up for 30 mins is no exception. Badly managed bank

Que ing up for 30 mins is no exception. Opening second boot didnt come up in their mind. 50 pct people have web site or admin issues. Indeed web site is very poor. It didnt cross their mind to do account openings at not during extreme busy hours, like round 12 but only upon apointment. In my case i pre ordered cash 2 days ago but the cashier was out for an errand. So one hour later still sitting here to get the cash amount that i cant get out of the atm. Realy worst bank to choose

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL

Rude aggressive and inconsiderate! I received an email saying they had requested documents to be updated but not received them so they would be shutting down the account unless received in 30 days. I had received no such request so made an appointment at the local branch to find out what was required. They didn’t want to know! They said the documents were ok but it takes a long time to update the system. I asked for assurance that the account would not be blocked but none was given and I was asked to ring a phone number or email as it was “nothing to do with us” at which point he dismissively walked off! The email address given to me doesn’t work and was written on the back of a letter containing one of their clients phone numbers and contact details-Apparently he has the same problem!

The worst bank I ever have been in…

The worst bank I ever have been in contact with. The personnel is rude and they have problems with their online software. Cannot reach my online account anymore and they are threatening to close our account even though we have sent necessary documents. Absolutely disaster.

Who is this so called bank for

Who is this so called bank for? Not their customers... They say one should upload personal info to be able to keep the account with them, but the upload page does not work. I have tried several web browsers and deleted web history and cookies. At one occasion it seemed I succeeded, but they obviously didn't get it anyway, 'cause they continue to ask for the info without any comment that it was not enough or similar...

Big thank you to Alberto at the Picassent Branch

A Big thank you to Alberto at the Picassent Branch for being so helpful and friendly when we visited the branch recently.
I understand and speak a little Spanish but Alberto made it easy for myself and my husband to understand everything which we massively appreciated.

Not worthy of one star

Not worthy of one star. I agree completely with the review 4 days ago by Ibrihim word for word. The difference was this review refers to the Cabo Roig branch today. I queued for one an a half hours here today for a five minute query which wasn't answered by their on line staff. The manager here named Victor passed through the queue and I asked him what was wrong. He was most unhelpful and kept on walking. To make matters worse one of the two ladies on the desk went on a break without any replacement. The service here is diabolical and cannot be excused particularly if the manager cannot manage.

No Service Bank

They asked for proof of my income and where it comes from ie pension statement, apparently for money laundering purposes. I have had an account with them for 22 years and this was the first time this information was requested. Because I'm a non-resident ex-pat they charge me just under €60 a quarter for using their services, in addition to fees every time I transfer money out of the account. They threatened to freeze my account if I didn't provide the personal financial information requested. I replied asking then to close the account and was subjected to regular bullying emails demanding payment for charges they had added to the account. If you want hassle, high charges and no service then go ahead and open an account with them. Rating -5.

Never again

Never again. We arrived as expat and this bank was recommended. High charges for exchanging in a different currency when on holiday. On top of the package fee you already pay. I also opened a company account. After a ton of paperwork they charge you even for regular bank transfers. Then after 2 years I was so sick of it so I cancelled all. This took me 3 days ! Staff is not helpfull and tell you different things. Never again!

Bank Sabadell Puerto de Mazarron

Bank Sabadell Puerto de Mazarron. The customer service offered by this bank is abysmal. One person serving, irrespective of the number of people waiting. The staff that are sitting at other desks ignore the people in the queue, like they don't even exist. They haven't realised that the customers are paying their wages! When you eventually get to the front of the queue, your transaction irrespective of how simple it might be, seems to take forever. It's almost like the member of staff has no experience of entering information into the computer. If they need to copy or print something, they walk like a snail to the printer/copier! I don't think I have ever seen staff to be so slow in my entire life. You have to allocate a minimum of 1 hour to visit this bank to do a simple transaction.

Hardcore crooks are at it again

Barely 4-days after i wrote a negative review about this horrible bank they slapped me with a fine of 28 euros for going overdrawn (this was a result of them stealing 40 euros from my account in the first place)

Now i'm overdrawn by 65 euros - which would NEVER have happened if i werent robbed by this bank.

I also bank with "Wise" - you can never go overdrawn with wise, hence no charge.

What i find strange is that going overdrawn by just 1 cent with Sabadell use to incur a 20 euro (fine), when did it go up to 28 euros?

I was NEVER contacted about the quarterly charges nor the increase in their fine for going overdrawn. No email, no letter - nothing whatsoever.

Is it not strange that to close your account with this wretched bank, they require you to physically go to the bank where the account was created. They make it so hard for you to close your account, which is further proof of how dubious this bank is. They just want to keep you as a client by hook or crook so they can keep stealing from you.

I went to a big Sabadell bank in Barcelona city center and was told to "book an appointment with Sabadell in Bellatera" in order to close my account. They even gave me their phone number for this appointment.

Sabadell Bank is terrible at communication

Sabadell bank is terrible at communication! They do not action emails, they are incapable of acknowledging receipt of documents, all they seem to do is ignore my emails and then send me a letter for a document that they have actually received. They take the saying mañana, mañana to the next level. Any conversation I have had has not yielded the desired outcomes. Sabadell needs to reassess their customer communication and explore alternative approaches to address the issues they are causing!

A real nightmare..

A real nightmare... If you like suffering, if you like feeling bad, then open an account with sabadell.
All what is written by other clients is completely true.
It would take me hours to write down all the problems I had with sabadell.
Today I got a good news, my account is finally closed... It tooks me about one year to close it...

Great customer care at Sitges branch

amazing solution-based support from Monsi at the Sitges Sabadell. She took time to sort out at least three banking problems that were causing me considerable headaches. She was patient, efficient and refused to give up when it seemed the problems could not be resolved. Great service.
PS when I called Sabadell's customer service to register my feedback I was told there were no channels for positive feedback only negative. Surely there should just be a feedback channel (not negative or positive)
