Unfriendly and incompetent

Unfriendly, rude counter service, errors made by clerks which cost us money. No apologies. It's all take and no give with this lot. Best avoided. We've moved to a competitor.

I had a car loan with them that was for…

I had a car loan with them that was for 8 years but decided to pay off after 10 months. As I am not Spanish the gentleman spoke to me in very good English and I was able to get the information to pay off the loan, however the amount to pay off the loan was more than what I thought I borrowed. Probably interest

on a acceptable level but not exceptional. The bank's app is functional but occasionally glitchy...Basic banking needs are met, but fees for some services feel high. Only for some simplest operations.

There should be a zero star option as this bank are the pits. Zero customer service. Zero answering if a query. Zero understanding of a problem. Zero contact back. Zero online help chat. All theycdo is read from a script. AVOID THIS BANK...YIU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I would give zero stars if possible

I would give zero stars if possible. Add charges for my wife on the account after we dicorced 11 years ago and they have been told. Do not turn up for meetings. Do not respond to emails. Absolutely dreadful, dreadful bank. Avoid like the plague.

This is the worst bank in Spain…

This is the worst bank that anyone in Spain can deal with, they treat their customers appallingly. I closed my account two years ago because of the poor service but unfortunately my father transferred money into the Sabadell account by accident, had the account been closed which as requested and paid for, the transaction would have been returned to my father’s account but NO unbeknown to myself the account had not been closed, after 7 phone calls, promises of it will be sorted out after labelling “Urgent” nothing has happened.

I live 250 kilometres from the closest Sabadell bank and all I want to do is have the money returned to my fathers account and for the account to be CLOSED as requested 2 years ago, to which I paid a service fee to be done, only to find out they just deactivated it instead, you’d think that with the surprising levels of incompetence they’d own up and take responsibility and apologise for the useless service they have “provided” however this isn’t my first rodeo as this same bank almost left me stuck in the Czech Republic with no way to access my funds, ironically their slogan is “with you wherever you are” but you’d think with these multiple examples of disproportionate levels of unprofessionalism you’d think I’d be done there. Nope, I previously tried to close the account before that and they didn’t inform me that it was still active, being charged an overdraft of €100+ euros when there was no money in said account and no knowledge that it was active.

Do not make an account with them, do no trust them, do not expect anything to be done whilst dealing with them. They are the most unreliable, incompetent, useless bank to ever grace the earth.

I hope I saved someone from making a very big mistake like I did by choosing this bank. If I haven’t been clear enough DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MAKE A BANCO SABADELL ACCOUNT!

Solbank ‘Erika’ Worst bank manager ever!

Worst bank we have ever had to deal with.
Almuñécar branch in Southern Spain has the worst manager you could imagine. (Erika) Hates ‘foreigners’ with a passion. Rude and unhelpful. She actually goes out of her way to offend you, resulting in most ex pats moving to Caja Rural.

Our experience has been mostly positive

I find it interesting that so many people write negative reviews here. Our experience so far has been quite different and mostly positive. We have been Sabadell customers for more than 2 years now. I will say, their website and online service is suffering from "bad design" and illogical procedures. I can absolutely imagine people (including myself) can find it difficult to navigate that, so there is always room for improvement.
But when it comes to dealing with our questions and giving us good and friendly service, I have zero complaints. We've been to their local office a few times and each time, we were helped quickly and in a friendly manner. Overall, we are satisfied with this bank.

No easy way to change phone number

I requested to change the phone number associated with Bizum, so Sabadell says I must change it across my entire account, that online banking must be cancelled and I must register again. Currently it's the 4th day waiting for the registration process, and it wasn't possible to re-register with the same ID!
Many of the bank's processes have been modernised, but clearly there's still some work to do!

Inadequate, aggressive and rude

I was trying to resolve an issue regarding documenation that I need to send over to the bank. Their online banking system is quite antiquated and can be confusing in comparison to the UK. I called their helpline and had compiled a short list of questions so I could get where I needed to be in a methodical manner. Within 5 minutes of speaking to the lady on the "helpline", she became aggresive and impatient. She shouted over me for a good minute, said goodbye and put the phone down. Her attitude was aggressive and offensive, it went beyond bad manners, I was shocked and somewhat bewildered by this bully. I am flying out to Spain next week to close my account.

What is wrong with this bank?

I cannot access my banking app on my phone because I changed my phone number and I am waiting since DAYS for an email. I am contacting the customer service line and no-one knows how to help me. I cant access my app since days! Also super rude customer service, one lady was screaming at me!

Useless

I’m only giving them one star because I have to. Completely useless service.

I phoned them to close my account and they told me it was done, but instead they left it open. I therefore incurred account charges which made me overdrawn, and then they charged me for being overdrawn. Appalling behaviour.

Dreadful customer service

They keep asking for proof of income yet will not accept documents sent by email or by post. My wife tried to log in ad retrieve password only to be told to enter the third bank of numbers on her card which they said ended in a set of numbers that it did not. They a threatening to freeze the account.
On a different matter, I have had home insurance with the for over four years. Tried to claim for water damage but after initially giving me a claim number, nobody visited and then they closed the claim. All phone calls and emails have been ignored.To me this is tantamount to fraud. It is a shame that there is not a no star option

A bank that will freeze your account for no good reason

They wanted some proof of income documents which I uploaded to their web site. A few months later without warning they accepted a transfer from my UK account but without telling me didn't credit it to my account. I only found out after I contacted them because the payment didn't seem to have arrived. So I now have almost no money in my account balance and can't use my debit card or pay my bills. Their lack of customer care is shocking as are their charges. After 20 years with them they have now given me sufficient reason to find a better bank.

A big joke!!

A big joke!!! Have been a client for 10 years, never asked for anything and when trying to get a help with a little water leak they just hang up on me! Idiots and I will move all from sabadell!
