My first choice for that RSD release if I am unable to get to my local store. They always deliver the goods.

What a joker! organise an event that says sold out on the second of ticket realise ! Shit website that does not give you the option to even try!

Simply a fabulous record store. I order mainly online and they deliver every time in a timely and secure way.

Ordered a RSD 24 U2 record. Great price, very fair postage, well packaged. Highly recommended shop to use. Keep independent record shops going and avoid the chains. Very happy.

I've ordered many times from banquet and recently noticed that my orders were held much longer than expected, which seem to be a way to send multiple orders together despite paying for shipping costs for each individually. They of course refuse to refund shipping costs when individual orders are sent together and often received damaged as a result of sending too many of them together. Also, they cancelled an order because of unavailability but still retain the shipping fees, had to insist to get a refund. Sadly their customer service is very arrogant and difficult to deal with.

Placed order for Christmas present took a week to advise that this item would not now be in until after Christmas. Disappointed!

My vinyl was well packed and the item was delivered in a timely fashion. The price seemed very reasonable too. Will definitely use again. Many thanks.

I bought an RSD vynil on release date. A number of links were provided by a fan membership site. Banquet Records had the cheapest price by £5 compared to the other sellers. I paid for basic postage, again cheapest out of all other sellers. I received an instant email to confirm the order & another to confirm same-day dispatch. Ordered item arrived within 4 working days, way sooner than expected. Great prices, excellent secure packaging & a flawless transaction. Perfect!

A lot of the stuff online is not in stock and they can no longer get it. They will take your money and ignore your emails. I’ve had to contact my bank to get my money back.

I’ve used Banquet records for a few years now and I’ve had nothing but excellent service. It’s sent out as soon as possible in sturdy packaging and that’s what I want. Also because I’m on the Isle of Man many sellers try to charge postage for abroad. I’m glad to say Banquet realise we are part of the U.K. so they charge correct postage. I have recommended to a few friends. Thank you for a good service. One of my go to record sellers.

They take an order for a record they don’t have and you never receive. Avoid.

Have placed multiple orders with Banquet over the years, so this is a fair review.

Historically, never had any issues with Banquet. Items were ordered and shipped within 2-3 days and arrived within 5 if the items were in stock. Pre-orders were always shipped in advance and arrived on release day or even a day early.

However, it seems to have gone a bit downhill in the last 12 months or so. I have had to chase multiple orders that were shown as having physical stock (note if the item has a number on the listing e.g. 20+ left then they have the physical stock, others they have to order in). When you chase, miraculously the order status changes to dispatched, but they are not usually sent until the next Tuesday it would seem (usually arrive the following Friday). Indeed if you use the tracking number on the postage label when it arrives, you can see the item is received by Royal Mail several days later.

They also claim that items sent are not trackable despite sending items using 48 tracked, which is a fully trackable service.

Have had two pre-orders arrive two weeks late, which is frustrating as a collector. Its also frustrating they have a lot of exclusives, so if you want a specific pressing you have to buy from them.

I do get responses from emails in a day or so and they are almost always polite.

I think Banquet may be struggling to keep up with the sheer volume of orders; they have a big online operation that I think needs to be looked at and possibly more staffing to get things packed up and sorted quicker. It'd be a shame to see their success become their downfall.

Having used Banquet for several purchases I think I can fairly review them, I've always got what I paid for and they've been well packaged, my emails get replied to half the time but I've only ever sent a few so can't say one way or the other, what they are terrible at is dispatching! Takes at least 2-4 weeks for anything to arrive, I honestly don't think they dispatch when they say they do, no way royal mail is that slow, for a shop as busy and successful as it is they really, REALLY need more staff to dispatch faster, the only major thing that proper let's them down.

If you can wait then go for it, if needed in any normal time frame then look elsewhere!

I bought a signed cd for 20 euro and it’s been 7 months they have ignored all of my emails I’ve sent asking where it is. don’t buy
