Only 3 stars, as their where no instructions of how to fit the wall brackets,
Not even a template to work to , or even, pre drilled holes in the headboard.
Just left to the buyer to work it out. (Not good enough) I expect more from a premium product provider.

I am really happy with my bed

I am really happy with my bed - no damages, just 4 bits of plastic that I didn’t know what to do with and weren’t on the instructions! But if a 55 year old woman, 9 weeks post heart attack can build it on her own, anyone can!
The bed came quickly. It’s a lovely bed. The only two reasons I dropped a star was because the first I knew that it was being delivered was 2 nights before when the delivery guy called me to give me a time. I don’t know what would have happened if I hadn’t been available. The other reason is because you don’t have a phone number for the public and don’t always answer emails. If there had been a problem after delivery I’m not sure how it would have gone.
But overall I would recommend the bed and the company and best of all, they are made in the UK which to me, is important. Thank you for my lovely bed!

DO NOT USE

I received the Oxford Wingback bed in July and all the diamantes were cracked and chipped aswell as having issues with the courier company I paid £90 and for the assembly. I have asked for a replacement and have just been ignored, I received one response saying they would send me new diamantes to fit myself which I would have to pay someone to do, I cannot make beds and wouldn't have a clue how to do this myself. I have asked for the bed to be picked up and returned and for an undamaged item in it's place and I haven't received a response for a month, just being ignored. As for my issues with the courier company I was advised there was nothing Barclays Bed's could do for me and to contact the courier company directly they booked and used with my complaint even though no contact information has been passed to me. Really upset, this was a lot of money and I am not stuck with a faulty bed. No contact number for this company to ring anyone, totally at the mercy of someone emailing back.

Truly terrible

I ordered this bed as it looked like exactly what I was after (as it turns out the bed looks nothing like the image on line!) and the quality and finish of the product is truly awful. There are visible and protruding staples on the footboard’s “elegant and stylish” edging which has “beading (as described in the product text) which is actually an uneven and cheap looking stop of collated faux press studs which as far as I can see is merely to mask the frayed and uneven fabric edging. I contacted the company under the impression that like all other companies they were bound by a customers statutory rights when supplying a faulty and unfit for purpose item not as advertised to ask that the bed be collected and I be given a refund to be told (after 5 days) that I would have to send it back at my expense and would only be entitled to a 40% refund as the bed is custom made. I was never made aware this was a custom piece and merely selecting a size a colour does not indicate custom made in my eyes as these were standard drop down boxes suggesting it was a stock item. I was never informed that if I was to order then no refund was possible. So despite another email explaining that this was a faulty item along with photographs to show the areas that were frayed and staples I still, 7 days on, have had no reply. I have since ordered another bed from another website at a similar price, which only compounds the poor quality of this Barclay bed product! So in short unless you have over £500 to waste on something that resembles an 11 year olds class textiles project, Do not order anything from this shambolic website.

THE BED IS NOT MADE WELL. THE FABRIC IS TERRIBLE, CREASED AND DOES NOT SIT FLAT.
THE COMPANY CLAIM THEY WILL ONLY REFUND 40% OF THE VALUE.
THE DRIVERS ARE DISTGUSTING, RUDE AND DON’T EVEN TURN UP WITH THE CORRECT TOOLS for £90. THEY LEAVE MESS IN YOUR HOUSE. I AM 7 MONTHS PREGNANT – THEY DID NOT CARE TO HELP ME AT ALL. THEY RAN OFF LEAVING ME STRANDED. NO CUSTOMER CARE OF RESPECT FOR PREGNANT WOMEN.
YOU CAN CANNOT CALL THIS COMPANY, THEY IGNORE YOU COMPLETELY.
NOW IN THE PROCESS OF A LEGAL CLAIM TO RETRIEVE MY MONEY BACK.

From investigating we can see you had issues prior to receiving the bed and were advised correctly in terms of the bed and terms. We do use trusted independent couriers to deliver large items such as Beds, they are professional and qualified to do the job and we get a lot of positive feedback from our customers in relation to their service. Nevertheless I have raised an investigation internally with their team to see if there were any failings.

In terms of legal claim, we provide a safe and secure method (Stripe and PayPal) should you have any concerns your Bank provider would attempt the retrieval of any funds owed to you.

Once again I do apologise you have had to raise this as an experience but we do feel that we provided sufficient information and the quality of the bed was as per the pictures advertised.

Damaged headboard

I ordered 2 headboards, one was lovely and delivered suitable packaged. Where as the other was delivered in a plastic bag, which in turn a split occurred in top corner. I contacted barclay beds on 4 separate occasions sending them a photo of the ripped corner and they haven't even bothered to respond, extremely poor customer service, would not recommend because of poor communication.

unfortunately I never received a replacement or any correspondence please resend a replacement

Rubbish for Price!

Beware of the fake 5 star reviews. People are getting rewards to leave these.

The beds are of low quality. The ottoman doesnt even have a cloth/sheet base so your storing items on your carpet. Our beds is raised on feet so all the items stored are visible from the bottom. Take your money elsewhere. I think there is a reason they don't have a contact number as they must be used to the complaints.

Update: The bed was collected in the end as it wouldnt stay closed even with a Mattress on top. We never got a refund or any correspondence after it was collected. Luckily I had kept a video of the problem. PayPal refunded me.

Terrible experience with this company.
I have never experienced such bad customer service. No contact number. After two months of complaining to social media platforms we were told that the social media pages are run by third party companies - which are giving wrong information. Absolutely avoid using this company at all costs. Quality is awful and every worse customer service. STEER CLEAR

Poor quality and worse service

I bought a headboard, there were no linen swatches available so I went with what was visible on the website. It arrived and was not the mid grey I had ordered it was charcoal black. The headboard fabric was poor and ruched in places. They wouldn’t refund or exchange without me paying to return it and seemed to not accept any accountability, my emails returned as not delivered after the second time
