Platinum liability Insurance and holding deposit weren’t well explained to me. At the end of your service, I lost my $456. Wondering if this is a way you made your profit? This is indirectly stealing from your customers. Very sad and pathetic service. I regretted ever using your service.

Taking up our Platinum excess cover for a standard vehicle as someone who is not a first time local renter does mean an additional cost per day but the pre authorisation we hold onto is only $1.
This does mean a standard vehicle is fully covered for a $0 excess in the case of an incident as long as the agreement for your booking has not had the conditions breached (allowing someone not signed to the agreement to drive the vehicle for example).
This does mean we did not need to put the standard $500 holding deposit in place for the duration of your booking.
Our staff are obligated with a duty of care to always ask if you want to take up the liability cover options directly with us as well as make sure you know how the different options work for you. Anything we add to a booking as an extra is listed on the rental agreement with its description/conditions for you to read over before you sign to collect the vehicle.

Third party cover if taken up at time of booking through one of our agents does differ from taking the cover directly with us and is handled with different terms and conditions.
While we are not made aware of any third party insurance/cover taken up at the time of booking our staff are legally obligated with a duty of care to always ask if you want to take up the liability cover options directly with us as well as make sure you know how the different options work for you.
We do rely on any customer that has already purchased third party cover to let us know that is in place as our cover would then not be necessary if the terms and conditions of these work for you.

We were expecting a Kia (or similar). Booked through Economy Car Rentals. We have had problems with MGs before. This car like our previous MG did not have any power and we had to be very cautious entering roundabouts to accelerate out. Staff were really great.

When third-party booking sites show a particular make or model and say (or similar), they're often showing an example of the size of vehicle you'll receive. We're sorry if this misled you regarding the kind of vehicle you would receive.

One thing that would be useful is a Driver info sheet setting out key features of the car eg blinkers on Lhs of steering column ,how to disable speed warning,petrol unlocking lever etc

Service and shuttle was friendly. Pity about the car. It was so underpowered that we struggled to get to the Hahndorf We felt quite unsafe.

Great Company To Deal With, Highly Recommend
As per usual customer service at the Adelaide branch was brilliant, the guy who picked us up and dropped us off was so friendly and had a great sense of humour. The staff make the whole car rental process so quick and easy. The car was nice and we had no issues.

I've dealt with John at Bargain Car Rentals on a number of occasions for our business, and he's been outstanding every time.
