Bargain Car Rentals Australia - Brisbane Airport Reviews 

We booked via a travel agent, 2 vehicles. A Hyundai Staria and an MG compac. Both vehicles, spotless. The service in Brisbane office was great. The Staria was great for a family of 7. Plenty of room for big bags and tall people. Would certainly book with them again.

It was a nice new car. Very economical.

Car was a little dirty on outside when picked up. The floor mat on driver's side was too big and didn't fit well. Felt pressured to take extra insurance at the time of booking, which made it more expensive than what we had budgeted for.

From the airport to the pickup zone was not clear at all, we kept on finding security or others were to go. Then we had to wait a long time 40 min at least in cold winds, while other shuttles were coming 3 to 4 times while we waited for 1. We were exhausted from the walk only to get into a car that wasn't big enough on the seatbelts. We struggled every time.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great vehicle. All good.

I hired a car from Brisbane Airport. Returned my car back 1 day early and was told I would receive a voucher for 1 days use in the future. When I didnt receive any communication, I emailed the branch and got a response from Alvin at the Hobart branch saying I bought the car back a day later than I did. I requested them to review their records, I didn't receive an email back. I followed up again and still haven't heard back, very poor communication and bad record keeping of the dates and times that vehicles are returned. But beyond that, just human decency to respond.

We had a great car. The window wipers needed replaced & they gave us a few options including pick some up & they would reimburse us. The staff are so helpful

great service, seamless, did everything online with Brisbane airport pickup and drop-off. All went well. Be early to drop off vehicle if you are catching a flight as shuttle is running between domestic & international airports so can be some waiting time. approx. 30mins in my instance.

The car was not clean, there was a lot of sand on the car floor. They could also benefit from having a separate counter or queue (staff number permitting) for people returning cars. Overall still great and friendly service.

The car was as new and we received great service at the counter

When we sourced our car rental online, the information indicated online was that vehicle was an" at the airport" rental. We had difficulties locating the Bargain Car Rental office as there were no signs at the airport for their office and we then learned that the office wasn't actually at the airport , but accessible via a shuttlebus to another location (which we were trying to avoid in first place).
When collecting vehicle, it wasn't the vehicle we had chosen as per our receipt , and the MG we did receive, was indicating a tyre pressure fault issue via internal light. We were uncertain and worried as to whether it was a slow leak in tyre or just not seen prior to pickup. It was a significant low pressure issue with left rear tyre which we had to stop and inflate to correct pressure. Fortunately, the issue resolved and the notification light did not relight. Given money paid for the rental, this should not have occurred.
In addition, following our online payment of the rental, it cost a further approx: $249 (at the office) for "additional insurance cover" for the vehicle (which was unexpected). The staff member serving was extremely difficult to understand due to a quick "very soft" speaking voice(almost inaudible), so much so we had to ask him to speak up and explain more clearly. The rental was a 5 day one and the vehicle did serve us pretty well, however I would hesitate in choosing Bargain Car Rentals on next visit due to the above issues encountered. The shuttle bus service provided was very good.

I have already sent 2 emails regarding my terrible experience, and have not had a response, Bargain is aware of the issues as I have raised them previously with them, and yet again here I am writing about the issues they have known about and fail to address. It's a shame to be asked to continually rate and report issues and experience and when you do nothing happens, or its all too hard, which kind of defeats the purpose of asking for feedback in the first place. After my last experience I doubt if I would use Bargain again, it's all too hard. Best advice I can give is pay more, hire a care from the airport and be in and out in 10 minutes.
