Good check in and out. Nice car

The most useless car rental we have ever come across! Shouldn’t have to wait 30min for the bus. They tell you the bus is on its way and it’s clearly still sitting at the depot. Service is slow. The list goes on. Sooooooooooo frustrating!!! Avoid this company!

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with Bargain Car Rentals.
We discovered that the rental car had missing wheel nuts, and when it was inspected, three wheel nuts were missing in total. This was a serious safety concern and caused a lot of stress, additional costs, and disruption to our holiday.
We appreciate that Bargain Car Rentals eventually refunded our expenses. The person who handled our complaint was also very helpful, professional, and supportive throughout the process.
However, it is very concerning that a car with three missing wheel nuts was rented to us in the first place. I hope they improve their vehicle safety checks to prevent this from happening to other customers.

The way that problems was dealt with impressed me. I had electrical problems with the first car I was given, but when I brought it back I was simply given another car with no big hassles.

All the staff are helpful. I booked is a "surprise" model and I got a MG car. The experiences of getting and returning the car are excellent. Just one thing reminded that I used to drive "japan" model car. The control of turn signal is in the right hand side. But as the MG model is an "European" model car, the control is in the left hand side. It is a quite big problem for me. So perhaps for the "surprise" model, it is better that let the driver chooses the way of controlling turn signal. It is because it is about "safe". Thank you.

The pick up was a bit confusing as the number connected to a Hobart number on my cell. I borrowed a cell to complete the process but was not advised it was successful until I saw a Bargain Cars van in the pick up area. At the depot, there was a shortage of staff so the process took longer than expected, but was straightforward and efficient in itself. Staff were polite and helpful. The return was easy, with prompt drop off. The car itself was good although the brakes were a bit fierce if not applied gently,and the price of hire was good value. I would probably hire again from Bagain Cars, provided the pick up routine could go more smoothly.

The people on the desk were friendly and very helpful. The free shuttle bus was also very handy to get to and from the airport. Overall great experience at 1/2 of the price of other companies with the same or similar Cars

The car was older than we expected, and we had to wait a long time to get back to the airport after dropping off the car.

The process was well organised and quick. We were dealt with efficiently. The only thing I would say is check your cover if you go through a third party company. We bought full cover from the third party company and then we’re ‘persuaded’ that we required further cover by Bargain costing a further $500AUS. Be prepared and check your cover carefully.

My $500 security deposit was returned only to be taken back 2 days later, was told car was damaged, was also told staff were too busy to inspect car upon return, car sat in the lot for more than a day before I was notified of any damage. There was nothing to report as I told the clerk. Will never use Bargain
again.

After multiple emails to Bargain I receive an apology, it seems they made a mistake in taking my $500 and it has now been returned.

Check in was quick and friendly.

There were a few niggles,
1. I mis-read the directions for meeting the shuttle at Brisbane international airport and it took 30 minutes for my call for help to be answered.
2. Maybe my lack of familiarity with the Jaecoo but everything on the Jaecoo Chery is on a screen and not that easy to use without instruction! it took me 30 minutes to work out how to turn down the aircon. Not sure if that says something about the vehicle, no instructions or just me!

Hassle free boooking, good price, efficient pick-up from the terminal

Unfortunately our experience with bargain cars didn't start off the best. We went to the meeting spot and called the number to book a collection. Our driver was there within 10 minutes which was awesome however as her pulled up we stood up and moved to the front of his van to wait for him to get out so we could get in the van. He didn't get out straight away and was talking and drinking a coffee, we just thought he was finishing up a phone call and didn't want to be rude and interrupt. He never got out of the van to ask if we or anyone was waiting for him and after a few minutes he drove off. We were a bit baffled as we were no more than 3 steps from the front of his van, stood with our bags looking at him. After booking a pickup 2 more times and 40 minutes later he finally came back, and this time got out straight away, we were stood in the exact spot as the first time. We loaded up and sat in the van and he proceeded to tell us off in front of the whole van for not waving our hands or making a big display that we were there for him like we were children. Every other pickup driver pulled up and got out of their van straight away to meet the customers, we didn't think we would need to wave our hands or do a dance for this to happen. Then the whole 15 minute drive back he proceeded to tell us how we were wrong and we must not have been there or in the wrong spot and next time we need to do this or that... it just wasn't a great start to the trip.

The reception is awfully understaffed however they were pleasant and got the job done. They do try to sell you and scaremonger you into paying for their insurance even if you have your own. The cars were okay, ours had stains on the rear seat but nothing major, we were overall happy with the car.

return was easy and straight forward. ironically we got the same shuttle driver that picked us up to drop us off and he was pleasant on the way back and making small talk.

This was one of the best car rental experiences ever!! Thank you to Michael who is part of the team, for recommending this - and the rest of the team upon arrival and returning the car. The price, the service and the quality was top notch. Excited to hire from you guys again :)

Lovely car rental was great car was great shuttle bus excellent

We arrived much earlier than intended and thought we would be waiting around for an hour! Luckily the representative found us a car immediately, explained it hadn’t been detailed but was clean and fuelled up. We thanked him for his great and efficient service after he explained in clear and concise English all the hire details. Great service, great car and a very pleasing experience.
