2 year post op - Gastric Sleeve done by the best Dr Tuna.
From meeting him in the theatre room, no words can explain this man.
I’ve never been so scared going for this operation & being carried out in turkey everything went through my mind..
However I’m 2 years on & never felt better…
This man reassured me, carried out my op, checked in on me daily after the op & still checks in on me now.
Very professional, nothing is to much and I wouldn’t recommend anyone who wants a gastric / bypass to go anywhere else.

I had a mini gastric bypass with Dr Tuna 29/06/2023, from the beginning I felt at ease.
After my surgery I felt amazing and even got away with the gas pain, the day after my surgery Dr Tuna came around and checked on me and answered any questions I had regarding the surgery , my incisions were super neat, I’m nearly 2 years out and my scars are very minimal, I had to have a scan on my stomach due in the Uk who complemented Dr Tunas work on my new stomach say it was very neat. I’ve been able to contact the team at any point in my journey. I recommend him to everyone I speak to regards bariatric surgery ! An amazing man who smells amazing may I add with magic hands! I am just over 14 stone down I’m 1 year 10 months out , I had a baby 4 months ago I started at 28stone 3lb Dr tuna saved my life and I’ll never be able repay him for that

Dr Tuna and his team at Bariatrics and Beyond are exceptional. As a surgeon, Dr Tuna is very experienced and is well respected in the field of Bariatrics. He is an accredited master surgeon. Not only this, the support offered pre- surgery, during surgery and post surgery is person- centred and driven by compassionate professionalism. I can't speak highly enough of this company.

After researching a surgeon for a gastric sleeve for over a year I decided on dr tuna. I had my gastric sleeve in October 2023 weighing in at 18 stone 6 pound. As of now I am 8 stone 6 pound so lost 10 stone! I travelled on my own to Adana for surgery from London everything was smooth sailing from start to finish, the checks are thorough and you are in the best hands with dr tuna. I couldn’t thank this man enough for changing my life I wouldn’t be where I am today without him! Highly recommended and my only regret is that I didn’t do it years sooner.

I did ALOT of research before choosing my bariatric surgeon. I work in the NHS and understand the importance of research and was very worried about travelling to a different country for surgery! From the end of my initial telephone consultation I knew Dr Tuna was the surgeon for me and that I was in safe hands. From the moment I was picked up from the airport the experience was seamless. I was shocked at the depth of the pre op tests that were done before my surgery, this making me feel completely safe! From the moment I met Dr Tuna it was clear that his patients are at the heart of everything he does! I went to Turkey alone and was full of anxiety as I had left my 2 small children behind in the UK! He gave me the time to ask questions and generally just speak about my worries and he did everything he could to reassure me. Even when I was wheeled into the operating theatre he held me hand and gave me reassurance as I went to sleep. I saw Dr Tuna every single day I was in the hospital. Again it wasn't a quick in and out he made sure I was comfortable and clear about what was to be expected. This is why Dr Tuna has such a fantastic reputation. Not only does he use the best surgical techniques and materials but he is patient centred in everything he does. Since being back in the UK I have was seen in AnE 3 years post op for abdominal issues (not mgb related) the surgeon I saw in AnE read through my surgical notes supplied by Dr Tuna at the time of my MGB. The surgeon commented on the notes stating his surgical technique was very impressive and he could tell by how indepth his notes were stating this is very rare. Due to a post I put up on his patient group regarding the AnE trip he reached out personally to ensure I was OK and did I need anything! This blew me away and even though I am an 'old' previous patient he still had the time for me! This is NOT bog standard care, give me your money and your in and out! Dr Tuna is the very best in his field surgically, he ensures safety first and does everything with kindness and compassion! I have recommended him to many people with 110% confidence!

I had my MGB 3.5 years ago now! My starting weight 23 stone - current weight 8 stone 13 pounds (just over 14 stone loss) and maintaining my loss! I can not thank you enough for changing my life!

Amazing surgeon. The care he gives before, during and after is commendable. Dr Tuna really cares about his patients. Im 18 months out and Dr Tuna still replies to any messages I send him (often within a few minutes). I was so nervous about this life changing surgery, but was comforted and reassured from the moment I initially enquired. The whole team are friendly, knowledgeable, kind and considerate and from the very first enquiry, and throughout the whole process there is always someone available when I have a query or just need reassurance. Dr Tuna and his staff at the hospital are so kind, caring and helpful.
My anxiety was at an all time high through out this experience but I can truly say the whole team helped me tremendously. This was by far the best thing iv ever done for myself and my family , only regret is not doing it sooner.

When I first started researching for bariatric surgery, the name 'Dr Tuna' kept coming up. Although I looked into many companies and surgeons, personally Dr Tuna ticked all my boxes, so it was a no brainer to have him as my surgeon.
Although my surgery date in Sept 2024 was prior to the creation of Bariatric and Beyond, I did still have my procedure performed at the Acibadem Adana Hospital which is where Dr Tuna is now based.
The care I recieved from all the staff, wow! From the nurses, to the translators, from the cleaners to the medical technicians, and of course Dr Tuna. I could not fault a thing.
The pre-op testing was wonderfully thorough, this helped put me at ease, knowing that if there were any initial issues with my health, they would find it!
Dr Tuna came to see me before the operation, it was nice to finally meet the surgeon that everyone was talking about. He shows genuine care towards his patients, and was happy to answer any questions I had.
After the op, I had the usual gas pain, but was supported by the nurses to get up and get moving to help with the pain. As someone who has never any type of operation before, I was amazed how quickly I was up and about after such major surgery.
You're given everything you need after surgery, water, apple juice, broth etc. and there was usually a translator not to far away, just in case you needed anything else.
The nurses regularly checked on how I was doing, checking my stats and making sure I was comfortable. Dr Tuna also checked in to make sure I was feeling ok. They were all really nice and friendly, again one of the many things on the trip that put me at ease.
From leaving the hospital, I was given a pretty comprehensive set of notes, which have since been complimented on by a few NHS doctors for their level of detail.
Since I've been home and now nearly 6 months post op, I can say that it's the best decision I ever made. I have been lucky with no complications at all, and with the weight that I have now lost, I feel Dr Tuna has given me my life back.
The support I have received since the creation of Bariatric and Beyond has been brilliant. Having people on their team, who have gone through the same experiences as I have, gives me reassurance that any advice they give comes from genuine experience.
This review has become longer than intended, but if you got this far, I will just reiterate that Dr Tuna is a brilliant surgeon and the care given at the Adana hospital is 1st class.

On 16th February I travelled to Adana for gastric sleeve surgery 😊 I researched what life with a gastric sleeve would be like and also Dr Tuna for around 18 months and could not find one bad word said about him. I finally booked my surgery Sept 2024 and had my surgery on 17th February 2025😁 From the moment I stepped off the plane I was taken care of. The hospital nurses were fantastic and the translators were amazing! Especially Furkan who always made sure my Husband got takeway 😅 you can tell her really loves his job! Dr Tuna made me feel so relaxed and his bedside manner is impeccable. He found I had huge gall stones which we discussed and I ended up having my gallbladder removed aswell. I did initially have a lot of gas pain but the nurses were always on hand with pain relief and medication, Sirin one of the translators also walked me up and down the corridor at 5am winding me like a baby ❤️ The hotel was amazing, and I found it really beneficial having a night away from the hospital to get a good rest before travelling home. I can honestly say that the care I recieved whilst there was the best I have ever recieved in my life (I'm a health care professional so I'm fussy lol). I was terrified if I'm honest, worried about what could go wrong, worried I'd be so far away from home. But the truth is, I have never felt more safe! Since returning home I have been supported by the co ordinators and Dilek our dietician, who have all been amazing offering advice. I just wanted to thank everyone at bariatrics and beyond for helping me to change my life. 16lb down in 2 weeks isn't bad for a start 😁♥️

From start to finish the best experience. From being met at the airport and arriving at the hospital and meeting the co-ordinators who were a godsend. My nerves disappeared as they were so professional and caring. We had 24hr translators who were fantastic and the main man Dr Tuna was amazing. He came to see me a few times before the op and every day after it plus the co-ordinators helped get me up walking asap to help with my recovery. Anna W, Lydia and Jo have been there for me throughout my experience and have become my friends, with Lydia and Jo accompanying me during my stay in Antalya. As did Furkan, the entertainer / translator. He made my stay so much fun.

The support doesn’t stop there, Dilek, is Bariatric and Beyond’s wonderful dietician and she has called me each week to see how I am doing. Gave me advice and helps me through making the correct choices going forwards.

Dr Tuna himself is the most personable, professional, caring and conscientious surgeon I have ever met. I believe his expertise and my will power have saved my life.

From start to finish, I had assisted travel with lydia, not only did I feel like I'd known her years after meeting her. She turned my anxieties into excitement about what's yet to come.
When I got to the hospital, it was like a hotel, very professional, didn't miss a vitals check, very friendly and welcoming. Made sure everything was translated if I needed. Dr tuna gave a hug to make me feel calm and safe before I had my surgery. He took care of everything along with his fantastic team. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and use the company again when needed and I would recommend to anyone and everyone. They are doing something right. My discharge notes were very informative and went into a lot of details so my gp was very happy. Overall 10/10. Thankyou for changing my life!

After doing my research for 18months i clearly knew the surgeon i wanted to do my sleeve surgery, Dr Tuna Bileck. Reqching out to the team via social media, it was very straight forward, and after medical interviews with Dr i then chose assisted travel with Lydia, as i am very anxious person and being high bmi would hate to run through airports.
However i was not pressured, i was given the flight details to book and given space to digest all information. The process very straightforward. Meering at the airport i was welcomed like an admired member of the family, then taken veey good care of until returning home. I react to anesthesia, which the whole team took extra care of me, contacting family back home and literally spending time with me whilst i got through it. Dr Tuna is a caring gentleman with who speaks amazing english. The before tests picked up on few things, they sorted immediately with no extra costs..so kind & caring, i felt safe and cared for, that much so my family members are now booking to go. The only thing i would change right now is fast forward to see my results, but thats it. The hospital, you will see from their social media is out of this 🌎 and the staff are even better ✨. I was so well looked after. After travelling alone Dr Tuna put me at ease and I felt confident having the surgery. The nursing team couldn’t have done more and was visited my Dr Tuna each day I was there to there check on my progress. Once home my GP was impressed by the detailed notes that we were given and the minimal fading scars from keyhole. This surgery has changed my life. I did have a couple of queries post op from home. I sent message to the team and Dr Tuna replied the same day.
