Nick came over to repair our roof after we had some problems. We were extremely impressed by the work he carried out. He was polite, professional and extremely methodical. He initially came to take a look and provided us with a quote. The quote was cost-effective and the communications we have had with Nick from day one has been great. The work has been outstanding.

Nick was extremely professional, kept me updated all along the process. His constant communication throughout was a breath of fresh air. The work was done on time, on budget and to a very high standard. I would have no problems recommending Barris Roofing to anyone looking for roofing issues.

Very professional and polite, did the roof repair well. Some delay in starting because of the bad weather, but the roofers got on with the job once they were able to start. They were considerate and as unobtrusive as possible. Scaffolding removed soon after the job was completed.

Before giving us a quote, Nick from Barris Roofing did a thorough roof inspection using a drone, and his quote itemised the work he'd do and explained why it was necessary (or more cost-effective than other options). This already put him ahead of other roofers we got quotes from, one of whom didn't even bother to inspect the roof at all, and another whose quote was suspiciously flimsy on details.

Also, Nick used a cherrypicker, making the cost to us lower than other roofers – all of whom had quoted for scaffolding, which was much more expensive than the cherrypicker cost.

Nick did the work promptly, explained what he was doing, and provided before and after photos. He was also friendly and efficient. Plus he provided a 10-year guarantee for the box-gutter treatment.

The real test came when we had our first day of heavy rain after Nick had fixed our roof. Unlike before, everything (including our bedroom wall) stayed properly dry.

Another reason we chose Barris Roofing was that one of our next-door neighbours had used them, and were very satisfied as well.

Whilst the initial installation of our roof was perfect in every way, we were happy with our new roof however one of the ridge tiles lifted and was blown completely off. I advised Mr Peter Morris of this and he did an inspection on 30th November 2021 and stated that he would fix/replace the ridge tile, a response of which I was extremely grateful. Since this date I have made phone call and sent emails, mostly of which have never been responded to. Even on one occasion that I managed to get through to Barris Roofing I was told that they were doing a job a few houses away from me in Davidson Road and that they would get this issue resolved. I am still waiting and subsequent emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. Today 23/5/24 I have been left with no option but to call in a third party to get the repair done, because the work has not been completed since the initial report the timber and felt has deteriorated further making it a far more expensive repair than it needed to be. NOT a happy customer! It’s a shame that good roofing work is let down by after service issues and generally gives such companies a bad reputation.

PS. Peter NEVER informed me that he would not be carrying out the repair. On speaking to a roofing professional I was told that my Ridge tiles were not secured in place. This has now been done, incurring me an additional charge. I now find it hard to recommend this company for any roofing job. Especiallly because of their response on this platform where they are deflecting blame. Avoid! According to them the customer is to blame.

Good communications, job completed quickly and left clean and tidy. Comparable market rate for cost.

Very happy with the work to repair leaking roof. Professional and experienced. Long-standing problem (caused by technical error of previous “roofer” who had tried to bond fibreglass repair with felt roofing) finally fixed. They took a lot of care to avoid damaging our new stair carpet too. Highly recommend.

Communivpcation was v poor. Several of us in a row needed info and it was often late or nonexistent.
Invoice sent was wrong and for double the amount. After they apologised and sent a picture things were better but they did not look at the internal damage to work out the source of water ingress, nor repair a few slipped slates below the ones they did put back. Disappointing overall. I now have my builders putting up scaffolding and doing the outstanding repair

They use technology (drones and bucket trucks) to expedite, simplify and make the work more accurate.

Always helpfull working out interesting economical solutions to suit all problems given the way rain interferes with the progress of jobs.

I get reliable advice from Barris and their work is good quality

I messaged Barris using the WhatsApp option on their website about an emergency repair to address a leaking roof. They responded back within an hour with a commitment to come the next day and a reasonable cost for the repair, followed by an official quote. I asked a few follow up questions via WhatsApp and they responded to each within an hour.

They showed up first thing the next morning as promised, had a cherry picker they could use to safely access the roof and completed the work quickly. It has been a couple of weeks and the repair seems to have worked.

Barris were head and shoulders above every other roofers I tried. I highly recommend them, especially for an emergency repair.

Barris Roofing recently fixed a leak in my restaurant in Oxted. The leak was a persistent issue which despite having couple of other roofers look into it hadnt completely fixed it. I couldn't recommed Nick and his team enough. From start to finish, their professionalism and expertise shone through, making the entire process seamless and stress-free.
First and foremost, I was impressed by the prompt response and clear communication from the team. They promptly scheduled an assessment of the issue and arrived on time, ready to diagnose the problem. Their inspection revealed the root cause of the leak, and they took the time to explain the issue to me. The repair was executed diligently, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Nick and his team repaired two chimneys and some missing slates at a property in Kingston for our company. They were super friendly, efficient and cost effective. We have used many roofers at other properties we manage over the years and Barris Roofing are by far the best we have worked with

Barris Roofing came to my property to do drone visual inspection due to a leak on my flat roof. The works needed was fully explained and the work was carried out to a very high standard and promptly. They left no mess on the day and were very polite to deal with. Would recommend and use them again.

Experienced a leaking roof which was leading to water dripping through the ceiling, in both the dining room and kitchen. I subsequently placed a call to Barris roofing based on their reputation and a personal recommendation and was not disappointed. Nick Morris was thoroughly courteous and professional to deal with and immediately put my mind at ease that it would be a straightforward fix. Once a time and date had been agreed, the work went ahead as scheduled and the problem was traced to a leaking valley on the extension side of the property. The problem was duly repaired and before and after pics were sent to show the initial problem, and the repairs that had been conducted. I'm happy to report that the repairs were carried out to a high standard and that we have had no further issues since, including during some periods of particularly heavy rain which had me concerned. Overall I have no complaints, and I cannot recommend this company highly enough for their customer service, and the quality of their work.

The team were so prompt courteous and solution focussed. We were in such a panic with the water leaking into our house and the boys made a big job seem effortless! We always recommend them. So knowledgeable and helpful on every interaction.

Nick and his assistant arrived on time. They got on straight to work. Very polite, pleasant and amiable. They left my driveway very clean and tidy. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family and personally use them for future work.

Worst experience in roof works by Barris Roofing. Almost 1 year ago Barris Roofing came to repair our Roof and it is still not completed . Roof was leaking during their roof works and they refused to put Tin roof/ Tarpaulin. Lots of ceilings collapsed and walls internally damaged by water getting into building during them doing works here.
Beware !,Do Not use this roofer company. They wrote on contract lead guttering and instead did a cheap Fibre glass covering over dormers and gutters . Worst experience ever.
