Been using base 44 to develop an app and where the AI super agent is actually very impressive I find base 44 platform to be poor as it took 90% of the 100 credits used to troubleshoot base44 platform issues. The AI agent is seemingly getting as frustrated by base 44’s platform as I am.

The agent would write code that it can prove works but the as soon as I test it live there’s ALWAYS a problem. How can I possibly take an app to market with no coding skill if even the ai agent can’t get it to work?

The AI was unable to recover from a state where most of the app pages were deleted. I lost trust in its ability to support production apps. I asked for a refund and they did not refund. So in the end, I had no app, wasted several days and lost my monthly fees. Bad experience overall.

I can vibecode base44 better than base44 on emergent

I was actually planning on using base44 for some projects I have coming up, as were some friends, but after my experiences using a platform built with base44, there is no way I would build my projects that I intend to commercialize with a platform that, once it has taken your conceptual ideas and built them into a functional product/business/website/etc, then proceeds to implode what it just created, relentless in it's efforts in bringing the site/business/platform offline so it is unable to do business! I've experienced this from the customer side of things of a platform I have a subscription to. I have hardly touched my available monthly credits due to the constant "sabbotage" of the platform (features/tools/etc failing to process the request, generate content, at numerous times, taking the platform completely offline, with one of the times (of it being taken offline) displaying a fake message when attempting to access the platform's homepage that the platform creator had decided to close down his platform. It seemed legit, but I knew it wasn't. And sure enough, they everntually got the system stablized and back online. I mean, who the "censored word" does this to it's customers??! I'm not sure how Base44 is still in business tbh, or why folks use their platform after reading the reviews (maybe that's the issue), because the consensus is pretty consistent across all the reviews, and it seems to me that base44's AI model/s seems to have unfettered access to anything they build. I'm not sure if that's the case, but that's how it looks from my perspective (based on my personal customer experience from a Base44 built Platform and after reading all the Base44 reviews here.

Base44, if you truly care about your customers, and truly believe in the system you're offering, I'd sincerely suggest taking pause. As your business model currently stands, I absolutly will not use it, nor will my friends as I shared with them my experience. I think your concept is solid, but the execution has some major flaws that are likely gonna kill the Base44 platform if left unattended. So, my suggestion is to put a hold on all sales, projects (in process, pending, new, etc), and take a deep dive into the base44 system for a root cause analysis. Is it with the AI model itself, do boundaries and rules need modified/re-written? Is it a permissions and/or level of access issue? Do your AI model/s have unrestricted access to a platform it created, even after it's been completed? If yes, why? If no, do they have support access? If yes, how is a support call processed. What are the limitations/guidelines your AI model/s follow when responding to a support ticket? What happens if/when they make changes completely outside of the support ticket? I really don't know what the issue is with the base44 platform as thankfully I read the reviews before using it, but, based on the experiences of a large number of your customers who left a review, a deep dive into the issues/complaints and their root cause is absolutely necessary. Hopefully ya'll take this to heart, but if not, and the current owners of Base 44 are unwilling to look into the numerous concerns/issues from those that have used their platform, especially when it's taking platforms/sites offline thus halting the flow of business/disrupting it's customers, then Base44 needs to be taken offline and scrapped!

P.S. It is pure Hypocrisy to have me change a word in my review before it can be posted because it's considered "offensive." Offensive is extremely subjective/biased. Now, something that isn't subjective, but based in factual evidence, is how a business (Base44 in this case) can offer a platform to build "anything you can imagine", and then once it has taken a customer's concept and delivered a completely functional product, turn around and sabotage the completed product they just finished buiding!! <- This is something I consider offensive, but that's way too nice, because what Base44 is doing to it's customers is straight criminal!!

This program is incredible! I am constantly amazed about it's ability to create fully functioning applications that actually work and look amazing. I am the owner of a law firm, I do not know anything about programming, I built a fully functioning app that allows my team to upload provider invoices for review and payment, process the payments in batches, create files to upload into our Legal Software, send remittances to all parties, track progress of our requests, track velocity progress of our files and much more. I can't talk highly enough about this program; I have recommended it to my friends who have business to help them simplify and automate tasks and provide valuable dashboards for their business. If you're on the fence, I suggest you immediately give this a go. It's transformative.

Its was very easy to make I would reccomend this to everyone but can you take less time to make it but otherwise this is OUTSTANDING and it is a five stars.

They are basically scamming people. You will have some success. And then all of a sudden, it will make mistakes on simple tasks that even an amateur can accomplish, chewing through your credits. The closer you get to the end of your credits, the more mistakes it will make. They want you to upgrade to the next tier, whether you want to or not. They know some people will not wait 14 days for the next billing cycle to come around, so they continue working. Most people, after they get into it, will buy the $50 plan. If all is going well and everything is working right and looking good, you will burn through your credits in no time. Once you're down that road, then all of a sudden it can't do anything right. Now you need additional credits. The only way to get them is to upgrade. $100.Funny how credits do not roll over, but you have to wait until the next billing cycle to continue. That makes it trash! As soon as I finish what I'm doing on there, BYE BYE Base 44

absolute scam, they burn credits. They will loop the same issue promising resolve, meanwhile they are eating credits hand over fist. do not waste your time

It's very annoying that 90% of the ads you see on YT, it's likely a base44 ad, am I saying the website is terrible? Personally, I never used it, and might not, because I'm not an adult. You just get spammed with these ads 24/7 and the only way to get rid of them is an adblocker, or ad-free subscriptions. It's crazy how they can waste more money on ads, but stock doesn't change. That's what you call "Stock plot armor."

I wish I looked up the reviews before I wasted a month and $100. Base44 is terrible and that's putting it diplomatically. The platform itself has a long history of coding the frontend and not the backend and then telling you that it completed both which, of course, means you have to spend more credits. It repeats mistakes forcing you to spend more credits. It isn't transparent regarding hard set limitations which causes more credits to be spent. No one should be using Base44!

I understand why you crafted your response that way but for anyone considering using Base44 you should know that I actively worked with Base44 Support many times and they weren't helpful - I do think they tried within the constraints the company places on them. And, of course, I educated myself on your platform prompting and as a coder, I know when the problem is the prompt versus the platform. Prompting a specific action with full details along with a confirmation of completion request and Base44 will confirm it was done, but it wasn't. Base44 has a well-documented tendency to perform frontend requests while ignoring backend requests which burns credits. This is well-known. And Base44 acknowledges these issues (I have support tickets to prove it) but will never offer to replace wasted credits. Also, switching from Base44 is a time-consuming nightmare. They let you download your Project, but you must also download every Data table individually. The project doesn't include your data so be aware of that if you decide to waste money and time on Base44 and then migrate to a real solution.

Do not waste your money, will not allow me to edit and has completely blocked me from using the site to create or edit any app. No customer service, no phone number, not getting anymore of my money. Contacted bank and contesting charge because this company is a scam.

Look at the type of people who own it. You will get scammed that’s all I have to say.

Stay FAR Away from Base44.

It can handle building you an app shell, but once the complex stuff starts it falls to bits.

If it fixes a bug, it will break something else and force you to keep spending credits, while you are running in circles. It also doesn't let you add more credits on your current plan, meaning you have to upgrade. For record I had to move up to the top plan within a week.

Lesson learned if you want a job done right you just have to get it done by a professional, as the tech obviously isn't ready yet. (even if their AI bot says it is)

Base 44 it is easy like some people say to base your ID and see it comes alive on their website however I have been working tirelessly trying to produce an app on base 44 and now it has been three months since I started I still can't get it to work properly a lot of the paths that I set in my work flow does not work the way that I have set it up They have problems to use or for you to use Your domain name even when everything has been confirmed By a third party company Which there recommend They charge you different levels of payment And they utilize the time In arrows And things that you have to go back over So that you end up spending much more money than you really would have spending if it was an honorable sight To work on they use up your credits creating mistakes that you ask the AI to build when it was working when you had it built by the ai but in running tests there is all this constant problems on their site So I asked myself why we spend or invest the money with base 44 when they cannot produce what they advertise as far as I can see and have experience and is still experiencing is a lot of problems a lot of repairs a lot of fixes and still you are at an incomplete process so at this point for a poor person invest in this much you have no choice but to go forward or quit and lose your money based 44 is not what they advertise to be and I am fed up and annoyed trying to use their platform to build a site dear Reagan is really a negative 10 there are so many things that I can breakdown to sure the negative attributes about this site I'm tired right now I want to give up, plus you can not get know one on the phone and the email do not work ther cone back not deliver.

I've been really happy with my app building experience on Base44! There have been some AI quirks that I've struggled through (where it said something was fixed, but it really wasn't). Still, it's truly impressive what this technology can do. Recently, I got a bit "freaked out" when I noticed that my account upgrades were charged for a full year, rather than the monthly plan that I intended to subscribe to. But, I submitted a ticket on a Friday and they responded over the weekend and credits hit my account by the following Monday. That was impressive customer service!!

For: easy-to-edit slides for a conference presentation last week; and
For: a pretty simple app I made last Sunday for my students to learn the basics of Econ in the context of the diamond jewelry industry

While I programmed in LISP back in the 1980s, I haven’t done much coding since, so the other reviews by skilled developers should carry more weight. But for my simple tasks, Base44 delivered very well on what I needed.
(e.g., the conference slides: I had a bake off between Base44 and three of the well-known LLMs. The slide deck that Base44 crafted was the hands down winner. For example, it inserted photos in the background of some of the slides that cleverly captured the content to help illustrate my main points, and the diagrams it made for the frameworks and comparisons in the paper I was presenting were more sophisticated and elegant.)

Constant issues, Ive tried multiple times. Does not do what you ask it and in order to fix needs additional and more credits. Good idea terrible execution and this company just wants to gouge, will be the downfall.

For the last time, I dont want your Base 44 website Ai App to make websites if the features are broken or lied to me by an paid bearded actor trying to sell this broken AI lies product.
