Doesn't really deliver
Well you upload a screenshot of what the designer made, hoping that it will turn it into a functioning website. Even if there are no API's to be made. Just layout of elements, the same way as the screenshot.
Nope, adds random chinese guy. The font is wrong. The logo is wrong. Not worth the hassle, so we're trying other tools.

Software was advertised aggressively on YouTube, tried it and it is an absolute scam. Base44 after being acquired by wix has turned into a turd pile with annoying marketing tactics that has terrorised all YouTube users regardless of ad personalisation or interest has led to this company’s terrible reputation as according to their other reviews here.

Persistent 500 errors and unusable AI-generated infrastructure. Refund refused.
I spent significant time and money on this platform, but it is fundamentally broken. I encountered constant 500 Internal Server Errors during basic tasks like file uploads. Even after their support (Kathy) admitted that their system's security (RLS) blocks administrator-level calls (Service Role) without manual complex workarounds, they refused to refund my credits.
The AI assistant is unaware of these platform-level limitations, leading to endless regression loops and wasted money on failed code generations. If the AI cannot build a simple functional flow without manual dashboard intervention, the product is not fit for purpose. David from support promised to consider compensation for platform-level issues, but they are now hiding behind "non-refundable" terms despite confirmed technical failures. Avoid if you expect a stable, automated development experience.

Went good at first then completely destroyed everything. It don’t even make sense how credits get used. Chat ai is shit. Free version is the way to go. Ai tells me it’s already added but I can’t see it. its genuinely a good website to use if you can code, however i do not know how to code. it is great for working with your UI, and your interface of the website that you want to build, however, it sort of stops there. the coding is lackluster, and does not correlate to what i say and most of the time does not work. the credit use is all over the shop, i ask it to do something, it says it has completed it, and it doesn't do it, yet it takes my credits. ive already spent upwards of $100 AUD on trying to make my app, and ive looked at the reviews now stupidly and the average is 2.2, i am dissapointed with my results and will not be continuing with their services. worst of all, good luck making any money on your app, because any random person can access your web app and make a complete copy of your hard work. bypassing any paywalls you had created to make some sort of profit, thanks

Scam
I’ve been using Base44 in my browser, and the app keeps malfunctioning. The AI bot repeatedly claims the errors are fixed, but the problem persists, and my credits keep disappearing. Extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Support has not resolved this. I do not recommend this service until the issues are fixed and lost credits restored.

I got initial fast progress then the AI…
I got initial fast progress then the AI would get tripped up on registration authorization conflicts and I lost two weeks just going around in circle with the AI until it would forget what it was supposed to be doing and then start the whole process over again. Extremely frustrating. I am leaving the platform because they don't allow export of your backend to other self-hosting or alternate platforms so they have complete lock-in once you have committed all your time.
