From a year of stress to my dream bathroom in less than a week

After being strung along for almost a year by another company (see my previous review!), with endless miscommunication, hassle and stress before eventually receiving a refund, I was honestly dreading having to start the whole bathroom process again.

Then I found Bathroom Centre Stirling, and the difference couldn't have been bigger. From beginning to end, the whole process was straightforward, organised and genuinely stress-free.

I contacted them around the end of May/beginning of June and they took care of everything: design, materials, deliveries and organising all the tradespeople. I didn't have to coordinate different people myself, and I didn't have to turn my flat or the communal areas of the building into a warehouse, as happened during my previous experience with the other company, which even ended up with some of the materials being damaged. Bathroom Centre stored everything themselves and materials arrived when they were actually needed.

They also genuinely listened to what I wanted. There was a wall between my old bathtub and a tiny, dark shower which I had always wanted removed. The previous company had come to my flat and told me it couldn't be done. Bathroom Centre came out, had a look, basically knocked on the wall twice and said yes, it could come down. And it did.

Removing it completely transformed the room. Instead of a bathtub I never wanted and a small, dark shower, I now have a lovely wide shower with plenty of light, and the whole bathroom feels much bigger. They made incredibly good use of the available space.

Their showroom had mostly whites, greys and pastel colours, while I wanted something considerably more vibrant, but that wasn't a problem either. They found other options online, ordered samples of what I had in mind and I went back to the showroom to choose from them. I never felt pushed towards what was easiest or what happened to be on display. They worked around what I wanted.

The same applied to the fittings. I had always wanted all the metalwork in my bathroom to be brass. With the previous company, brass was available for some things but not others. I would have ended up with, for example, a brass tap but a black shower. Bathroom Centre were able to give me exactly what I wanted, with brass throughout, so I didn't have to compromise on the design.

The renovation itself took less than a week. The team were organised, tidy and respectful of the property. As I only have one bathroom, I had to temporarily relocate, but I came back to the flat every day. Obviously there will always be some tools, materials and dust during a full bathroom renovation, but the disruption outside the bathroom was remarkably minimal. I was particularly concerned about dust because I have two cats who had to stay in another part of the flat, but it was contained extremely well.

There was a small issue during the renovation, as can happen with any renovation, but it was sorted out quickly after the work was completed and without any drama.

Price-wise, it actually came out cheaper than the quote I'd received from the previous company.

Considering that I was dealing with all of this while recovering from a broken leg, looking after a child with special needs and two cats, I cannot overstate how much I appreciated having a company that simply organised everything and did what they said they would do. The only real stress I had was having to relocate while the work was being done.

After nearly a year of stress with the previous company, Bathroom Centre gave me my dream bathroom in less than a week. My favourite room in my home is now the bathroom!

I 100000% recommend them.
