Horrible service, never willing to help me, hang up on me every time I call them

I have been with the bank for 3 years. Today will be my final day with them, firstly they did not include me in their annual statement ever. Meaning I have had endless problems wit my tax declaration and every time I call they hang up on me. Secondly, in the application there are always errors and they never seem to be resolved. Today the customer service was terrible I called as my online payments are not not working, this is very dangerous. I gave the woman my NIE and my passport number I really wish I got her name as she was so rude and she could not find me and wanted to leave the phone call. Even though I am a customer. What on earth is going here? We are hung up on every single time we call and asked to go into the office. It has caused me so much stress, and no customer deserves to be treated this way. I warn anyone to not join BBVA especially if you are learning Spanish. They have no regard for human emotions at all

The employees mislead people

The employees mislead people. the employees have no clue about information of their own bank. recently bbva offered 100 euros offer if you open an account. I went to the branch and asked the guy regarding this offer and he opened my account. i asked for 100 euros, he checked and said, sorry it is only possible if you open the account via internet and not in-person.
another time, bbva blocked my card and is unable to unblock it. they need my documents of residency in spain. the government processes and provides these documents in about 4 months. so now i have to wait for 4 months to get the document from spanish government to give it to bbva so that i can eat food and live.

Rip Off and Foreign swindle

Horrible and the biggest rip off! DON´T Do it. There is so many more options.
As foreign, they gave me paper to sign and did not explain it. I had to pay 68€ and I had no glue for what. Went to bank, and they pointed to one Condition, which I signed in Spanish with no further explanation. Also I had to pay 5,5€ monthly for an insurance, which I never wanted. As there are so many more options available.

Avoid this bank at all costs

Just want to echo the other 404 bad reviews on here. This bank is a fraud. They won't let you withdraw your money once you leave Spain. And they charge you huge fees every month even though you keep asking to withdraw your money to no avail. This has been going on for 2.5 years. I finally managed to speak to a customer service rep in English and he said that if my 82 year old mother couldn't come to Spain (mid pandemic, no less) there was nothing he could do to help me and hung up on me! Quite a stressful situation knowing the bank is basically stealing your money. Not sure what good these horrendous Trustpilot reviews are doing.

Terrible customer service, terrible organisation and terrible employee attitude.

This bank is a joke... I went today to solve a simple problem. First of all, I saw two employees standing talking to each other while completely ignoring the long line of waiting customers while just one employee was attending to customers at the desk. When it was eventually my turn at the desk the woman was incredibly rude and reacted with attitude when I asked her (a banker) for banking services in a bank. In the end she said I needed to book an appointment (obviously she wouldn't do anything about the problem herself) and said the bank would call me to arrange an appointment. When I asked her if she knew what day or time the bank would call me she again reacted with attitude.

Terrible customer service, terrible organisation and terrible attitude. This experience has convinced me to close my account with BBVA and no longer have anything to do with them as I believe they would struggle to organise a picnic, let alone customers' bank accounts.

The ATMs never work

The ATMs never work! I've been trying for a few days to pay a tax form (12 euros for my NIE card/registration), I went to 5 different ATMs, and none of them accepted my money. I get a message telling me to contact the bank. (The money is ok, I withdrew them from one of their ATMs).

This is the most horrible bank ever

This is the most horrible bank ever. I asked for a loan as I urgently need it. I have all the requirements, contracts, payslips, reason etc... They Call you saying they will provide you an update within the 48 hours, I could see gestor sent me a message but she deleted it 1min after. They probably filter by race, country of provenience instead of needs etc. Typical..... Don't leave your money in the bank, look for a decentralized wallet, they much better, even the intrest is joke at the bank...

Currently asking for money to EAT

Wish I could give them zero stars. I made a transfer from my account in BBVA to my Revolut, then they assumed I was commiting fraud and they locked my account. After I sent them all my documents proving my identity, because those accounts are in MY name and even spoke with an agent, they just give me excuses when I try to ask for a solution. I have now been left with no access to my money for two weeks, I'm having to borrow money to buy food and I couldn't pay my rent. The worst part is they have offered no explanation at all, just left me with no money. Avoid this bank.

Terrible

Terrible bank. I issue a transfer on Friday, by the end of the next Monday it is still shown under "retenciones", so they don't do the transfer as they should and instead hold on to your money for no reason. When I receive a transfer, I am only shown "transferencia recibida" without any info on WHO sent it or WHAT it is regarding, i.e., the "concepto". This information takes a full 3-4 days to appear. I mean really? What are these people up to?! Clearly, they have no clue how to run a bank. If you are looking for a real bank go somewhere else.
When you try to call them a voice asks for the nth position of your password, if that happens to be a letter and you are only offered the phone's numeric keypad you are f**ed. Clearly, they know they are bad and don't want you to tell them.

2 days I'm trying to talk with someone…

2 days I'm trying to talk with someone speaking English or Italian, but nobody answers on meny numbers I called and on their main customer service number, there is just a virtual mechanic voice in Spanish, asking you to tell it in Spanish what you want.....I'm going crazy......

Terrible bank

Terrible bank. Supposedly you can create an online account and get verified over a video call which seems convenient for a non-Spanish speaker as the site is in English. After waiting 5 hours for the swift to change ( because the initial operator wasn't speaking English ) they casually informed me that they won't allow the account to be created unless I already had an account with another Spanish bank. What's the point trying BBVA in the first place though?

Spent two days trying to open an…

Spent two days trying to open an account online. No success, got stuck every-time. Tried to call an ENGLISH speaking customer relations (sic) rep. They promised to call back. Never did. Then I read a selection of reviews on Trustpilot. Quickly decided stay away and not touch this bank with a bargepole. Thank you people for warning me!

Very disappointed in the switching service

Very disappointed in the switching service, opened the account online on the 9th November and was told that the account would be switched by the 23rd December. The directions state that the customer doesn’t have to do anything! No money has been transferred from our Sabadell account to bbva and our Sabadell account has not been closed. Every time we call bbva customer service they have no English speaking agents. Poor service for an international bank.

I initially thought that BBVA were very…

I initially thought that BBVA were very good, but they seem to have gone downhill fast. My husband and I have a joint account. I recently changed the address on our account, but as I'd gone in alone it turned out that they hadn't changed that of my husband. I tried to change it by phone, and couldn't. I tried to change it online, and couldn't. So I went into my local branch and got into the queue for the desk. When it came to my turn I was told that the desks were for business accounts only. Having waited quite a while, I left and returned today. This time getting a ticket for the queue for the tills. When my turn came the lady at the till (the same one who'd previously told me that the desks were for business accounts only) told me that she couldn't do it at the till so I'd have to queue again to reach a desk. This bank claims that both English and Spanish are spoken, but in fact very few staff can speak any English, and the supposedly English information on the website can only be described as pigeon English. Add to this the fact that during the pandemic they have neither an email nor chat, nor a phone facility and you can understand why I've given only one star.

WORST SERVICE EVER

WORST SERVICE EVER; After the online account registration did not work proper and put the wrong address, I immediately wrote an email to their services, providing the right address, where they should have send a new credit card.After 2 weeks waiting I call them and they say, that they can not change my address, even if they received an email, so they just send it to a wrong one, with all personal datas and details!!! Its ILLIGAL WHAT THEY DOING!!!

The worst bank I ever dealt with…

The worst bank I ever dealt with 🚮🗑garbage, I was a victim of a fraudulent check sent to me from a scam artist in regards to a job online. I sent the proff that I was told to do by the customer service representative of bbva. They didn't take it into consideration I was a victim an closed my account, I couldn't get a legit reason either. BASICALLY THEY ARE NOT FOR ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES.
