AA Beam charge extra £100
I had already purchased insurance on my current vehicle which was due to start 24/04 - however, I have needed to change this vehicle for a new vehicle which I am collecting 18/04. Online the best quote with AA Beam was £490 (comparison website). As the update to the policy could not be completed online, I needed to ring whilst at work, only to be informed the cost would be an extra £100. I did not have time to cancel policy, so had to proceed and pay, leaving me angry and upset.

Phone Contact is Good
Having purchased the insurance online, I didn’t realise til I had paid and got the documents that it was on automatic renewal. I don’t like that system so rang up and spoke to a very helpful and friendly lady who cancelled the automatic renewal. So I am impressed that I can talk to a real person. My previous policy gave no phone number and you could only contact with online chat box. When I did this to cancel the automatic renewal renewal I was 22 in the queue and waits 40 minutes for my turn.
