Bought a bed.

Bed arrived and it was a perfect mattress it is the comfiest mattress ive ever lay on. Sophia was amazing thank you to beds.co.uk I will 100 precent be recommending this company and will use in the future.

Damaged goods and false promises - awaiting resolution

!!!ADVICE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS REVIEW!!!

I’ll update my review if we come to a resolution. Also happy to share the exchanged emails and photos with those interested.

Situation:
I ordered a king size Diven bed set complete with mattress and headboard. The goods were received damaged and I have received nothing but empty promises through emails.

Headboard:
The headboard had obviously met with a dirty floor at some point. One side had black streaks. The fixings are of very poor quality and unevenly cut. I have not assembled the headboard to the bed but wouldn't be surprised if the measurements don't add up.

1st Section of the diven bed:
At this point I have only slid down half the plastic.

- Uneven craftsmanship on the top corners
- Felt lining not stapled or glued. This is bound to get worse due to the natural movement of a mattress
- Staples sticking out around the middle of the bed. Which will damage the mattress if not manually corrected by the end customer
- Staples sticking out at the corners - you can tell these beds are quickly knocked together not sure I would want this kind of work around kids
- A deep dent on the shelf face
- The bottom right-hand side of the shelf is pretty bashed.
- There is an impact on the top side of the bed towards the bottom right. I can imagine this happening during the one-man delivery efforts….
- The fabric is cut which can be seen through the plastic. I haven’t taken the plastic off yet to explore any further.

2nd Section of the diven bed:
This section is still packed but looking through the plastic you can already see that are some further cuts to the bed, outer wall, lining.

Mattress:
This section is still packed but looking through the plastic there doesn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary. I’ll update this review with my findings if I ever hear back from Bed.co.uk.

My Advice (for those still willing to adventure into a purchase from bed.co.uk):

1. Pay through PayPal which offers great consumer protection (I really regret not doing this in the first place)

2. Ensure you have enough hands to assist with the delivery (1 man delivery, nice guy, but the things were thrown all over the place in the back of the van. It's at this point I should have started checking the goods)

3. INSPECT THE BED WHILST STILL IN THE DELIVERY VAN
Why? The site stipulates that refunds are possible within 14 days if photo evidence is provided within 48 hours of receiving the goods. However, they deduct £49 from the total price paid for the pickup. It goes without saying that paying for the return of damaged goods should not be billed to the end customer. Refusing damaged goods upon delivery is allowed and accepted. It might come across as unfair for the delivery man (don’t get pressured into taking them if you see faults/defects/damage) but it will save you a lot of back and forth phone calls and emails.

Yesterday I bought a bed from a bed from beds. co. uk , such helpful staff from the moment I ordered to delivery. Bed looks good mattress perfect. So good today I ordered another bed from them . Highly recommended.

PRICE IS LOW SO IS THE QUALITY

Bed price's is super low, quality is super rubbish.
Only been 7 months and i can feel the springs in my bed, paid £300 apparently half price.
None sense bed and company there is no 5 yr warranty on silent nights bed all bogus.
Go to your local street corner and buy a mattress from them.
If they reply back to this message dont trust them , its pure rubbish,trying to justify them selfs.

I bought 2 mattresses from this company …

I bought 2 mattresses from this company because I was drawn in by the huge reduction on offer. I received my mattresses today and have just googled the make of mattress I received and they can be purchased much cheaper than actuallyI paid. Do not be taken in by this dishonest company. Extremely disappointed.

Beware of beds.co.uk

First of all if you have already got a bed on order for delivery from beds.co.uk then good luck with that. If you are about to order a bed and are reading this review then please whatever you do do not use this company. I ordered a Devan bed with a headboard from them and after a week of waiting the bed came. I excepted the order because it looked all present at the time. When I came to open it up I found that there was no place for the headboard to go that was not the only thing. The bed was sub standard in production and did not look well built. Anyway we rang beds.co.uk to tell them and they wanted pictures which I promptly gave. I was then told that it would take anything up to 7 days to sort it out and was told they would phone . They never rang at all so I rang them and they rearranged the delivery for the end of the week after spending ages looking for my photos. The day came for the swap and you'll never guess what I received. I received the exact same thing as the first time. They rearranged the delivery again and yes you guessed it they sent exactly the same thing again. To cut a long story short they were phoned on more occasions and treated me like I did not know what I was talking about. They insulted my intelligence and just refused to except what I was saying. My partners son is a joiner and he even could not find anywhere to attach the headboard. I have never since that day been phoned and they have never offered a solution. I apologise for a rather long review but just implore you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are rubbish and sell sub standard stuff and have the worst customer service ever.

Never again

Ordered bed as it said Christmas delivery and good price . Well it's Christmas tomorrow and still no bed well there you go . Won't answer phone calls and keep getting the same email message back . No bloody good to me . False advertising it must be . Need to explain the Christmas present didn't arrive and can't tell them when it will be delivered either great start to Christmas

Rude and not worth your time or money.

I ordered a mattress from their website for a good price, you then receive a text asking you to choose a date/time for the delivery to come, so i chose a Friday morning. I took the day off work and waited in all day, when I called at 2pm a very, very rude member of staff responded to me and confirmed its on its way, to which i confirmed it should have been here earlier and he said that deliveries are upto 18:00, when i told him i booked a morning slot, he called me, i quote, a 'LIAR'. After a heated conversation I asked him to pass me onto his boss or complaints team and they confirmed I was correct, during busy periods you can book time slots with alternative couriers. All they said was 'sorry for the delay' and did care that a member of their staff was being rude. He said my delivery will come within the hour as it was only '4 stops away'. I then called back at 17:00 and a lady answered and confirmed my delivery had been changed and was not pushed back to THE LAST DELIVERY OF THE DAY - this was clearly done out of spite by one of the team members i was talking to previously. I then waited until 18:30 for my delivery, which the driver could apparently not find my flat so I had to walk outside in the road to flag him over. He then asked me to sign and as I went to walk back to my flat for the two courier to carry the mattress upstairs, he unloaded my mattress on the side of the road and said goodbye and started to get back in the van. When i went to question them, they spoke a foreign language and got in and drove off. Finally, when I managed to carry the mattress upstairs like superman, I un-packaged it to find it had damp stains all over it and stunk of rotten fish. I would have loved to send it back but I could not be bothered with wasting any more of my time with them. Simply DO NOT use this service, it's appalling.

Rude and incompetent

Purchased a mattress on line and the delivery address was incorrect.
After two long delays in replying I was told the delivery company Premier Deliveries we going to deliver the next day to the wrong address. I was then told to ring Bed Co uk. Another long delay then I spoke to Mr Sandu, I enquired to make sure Premier Deliveries were collecting the old mattress and was told in"no uncertain terms" they were not. It is not on our web site he said. I pointed out it was on the "White Glove Delivery Service" of Premier Deliveries. It is chargable he said.
His attitude was take it or leave it, so I cancelled the order.
The mattress was deliverd today by another rude man who tried to intimidate my son into taking delivery.
They have taken payment, I hope to have it returned via my credit card.
AN UPDATE: 16th December no refund has been recieved and they refused to sign a recorded delivery letter.....IT STINKS
