I had a very bad experience with this…

I had a very bad experience with this agency. Poor quality car. When I returned the vehicle, they charged me for two tires when only one was affected. Impossible to discuss, no one listened, and of course no clear justification. It's simply a scam! they take advantage of customers to maintain their cars. Futhermore, many roads are off-limits (GPS monitoring and a $150 fine if you take this roads).Plus , 45 min to pick up the car, I was alone... and the same for the deposit. Stay away!

Scams.

Due to quick booking trough VIPcars i came here and saw all the bad reviews about them with the false damage and keeping the down deposit of € 800,- i just canceled my reservation before the 48 hour time stamp thank you all! Goes to show that writing a review actually helps out others. I appreciate it.

Really poor welcome

Really poor welcome. Waited for them for 20 minutes, which was exactly how long it took them to charge us with a late service fee.

liars! stay away from them

Just leaving the office and picking up the vehicle while reading the reviews on the LOCAL PARTNER Beepit: 25-CHQ-3141 at Chania airport, I learned that one should be cautious with this agency because at pick-up it is customary for the operators to charge customers for damages not caused by them, but instead are pre-existing and not reported in the photos (the lower part of the front body of the vehicle) solely for the purpose of unjustly seizing the €800 deposit that you must lock with a credit card at the time of pickup to cover potential damages to third parties.Upon return, we already knew they would raise some objections, and indeed, the young lady and gentleman managing the agency staged the usual act and unjustly accused us of causing damage, coincidentally always in the lower part of the front body of the vehicle, visible only if you kneel down on the ground and put your head under the vehicle. Being fully aware that we had not caused the damage and having understood that it was an attempt to deceive, we rejected the accusations, refusing to sign a damage acknowledgment form presented to us by the young lady from the agency, while also pointing out that this attempt to charge for pre-existing damages had already been highlighted by other customers in reviews. In the end, they backed down, even saying that they would pay for the alleged damage themselves without withholding any amounts from our deposit (but what damage???) and that the deposit would be released within 15 business days (another anomaly).

I wouldn’t rent it again

I wouldn’t rent it again. We landed in Chania at 1.30 am. We picked up the car at 2am. The women at the desk was telling us that we couldn’t pay with the Revolut car for renting the car and that it said in terms and conditions. When I asked where she wasn’t able to show me. I paid with a different car (luckily I had one) I contacted the customer service during my holidays and they said she was wrong. They take photos of the each even the most hideous scratch on the car, they send you old photos. They paint the scratches and then they charge you for new ones and that’s how they make money. The windscreen wipers were too long, the battery in the key was old. Never again.

0 stars con men

0 stars. Terrible liars and con artists. Stay well clear.

We have photos of the car taken before we went away of all of the damages including a scratch on the wing mirror and a scratch under the bumper.

When we returned the car they immediately went to those two places (how funny it was as if they knew where to look) and told us we’d be charged for the damages to both places. They then tried to scam us with showing old photos of the car pre damage. We then saw they were showing us old photos when we checked on their computer ststem, there was a second albuml of photos showing the damages. They retracted one claim saying human error - but only because we looked on their computer and called it out.

They are now still trying to charge us for a scratch underneath the car claiming we did it even though we took a photo of it before showing it was there before we took the car.

They are clearly here for making money back off insurance providers. scam artists and liars.

Trustworthy company

We rented a car in Heraklion, Crete. Pick up was very smooth, the location seemed very luxurious and clean which I didn’t expect due to low prices. A member of staff explained all the rules and policies really clearly to me. I had a third party full cover insurance and she explained to me what the refund process would be in a case of any damage. She also told me to take pictures and videos of any damage that was already on the car, and to not miss lower bumper. They sent me an email where I could review damage that was already noticed by them and I could upload any additional pictures of what they had missed.

The car itself was great, I had no issues at all. I hired it for a week and the drop off process was super quick and they returned my deposit shortly.

They also offer a shuttle to airport and back if necessary. I had a great experience with this company, therefore I would recommend them. Just make sure you take loads of pictures when picking the car up.
