Tries to prevent cashback to the customer

They don't process the cashback within 24hrs of the purchase. When you report the Missing Cashback, and provide them with the email confirmation from the Merchant, they claim that you didn't activate it during your shopping trip, even though it shows the shopping trip was recorded. I think this is their way of not having to payout what's owed. They don't follow up with the Merchant to ensure that you get your cashback within a timely manner. The customer is DEFINITELY not right when money is owed to them! Rakuten is true to form and better!

Zero cashback after almost a year of use

I used BeFrugal several times this year, so today I visited the site to check my cashback balance, only to discover that it was zero. I took screenshots of each purchase and noticed that all of them show cashback activation occurring a day later for each purchase.

Coupons or Cash back for most websites…

Coupons or Cash back for most websites I usually use. I like the idea of having the gift card option for redeeming. I use to use Rakuten who only send cheques or paypal payment. Sometimes the cheques would come late and since i live In Trinidad and always have to shop online, the gift card works out for me.
I would recommend befrugal.

Scam company

Scam company, doesn't track stuff even if you follow all their instructions. If you open a ticket, they'll act like they're investigating, but will never actually credit you the money. Had an ongoing open investigation for 7 months, if they had just told me they were never going to credit I could have cancelled the order. Instead they strung be along for 7 months before taking away the pending credit. Skip Befrugal and use any other cashback service.

They don't advocate for you to get your cash back

I made a purchase through BeFrugal on March 5th, 2025 for cash back. I submitted a concern for a cash back discrepancy on 0322125. I received a reply from "Todd" that they "are investigating this Cash Back discrepancy on your behalf and will notify you when we hear from the company.
I credited $53.59 to your account in the interim."

It's been over 6 months and apparently they haven't done any investigation as I still haven't received the cash back. I've reached out twice (in July and September) for updates and both times "Todd" replied "the inquiry to help you is still pending. This means that BeFrugal received the information you provided and has uploaded a challenge to the retailer, but we have not had a response yet. We will notify you via email with an update as soon as we have new information to share with you."

I asked if they could reach out again, but apparently they will only reach out to retailers once and then will wait (forever?) in the hopes that maybe the retailer replies. The cash back "Todd" credited to my account in March is still pending and therefore unavailable to me to cash out.

I created an account with BeFrugal to make this purchase because they (appeared to) offer a great cash back incentive. Now they refuse to do anything other than say it's out of their hands and wait indefinitely.

SCAM - AVOID

Their cash back does not track properly. You have about a 50/50 change of actually receiving cash back even though the transaction is valid. They also don't follow up with a retailer when you submit a request. It'll sit there for YEARS
