Efficient, cost-effective book-keeping service for my growing business.

I have been a Bench customer since 2019 and I am incredibly grateful to have a simple portal to log into and see on my dashboard where my financials are at for my business. I particularly appreciate the chat window to communicate with my bookkeeper. It's also so easy to upload any files/statements. The user experience navigating through the portal is intuitive, anyone can find their way around.

I've been with Bench accounting for two years now, and frankly, I'm so relieved to have a service that takes this huge task off my plate. The time and headache it saves me allows me to spend more time doing what I do best - growing my business. I tried using a local bookkeeper, but she used Quicken, which does not play nicely with online payment processors, making it a no-go for a lot of businesses. My Bench bookkeeper, Deondra, is patient, helpful, pays close attention to detail, is quick to respond to any of my questions, and has been very reassuring to work with.

I have to say these people are so patient and helpful. I probably asked the same question 5 times and they will get on zooms with you and spend time so you truly understand what is happening with your finances. I have worked with 3 different people in the past few years and have been impressed.

Bench is a mixed bag. It depends on who you get whether or not the service is good. In general, the people who work there are great. But I have gone many times not having calls or emails answered and it has had devastating consequences as far as the timeliness of getting my taxes and bookkeeping done. At present, I have a GREAT bookkeeper who is smart, consistent, and returns calls and messages, I hope he never leaves. But the turnover is high at Bench, so I expect him to not be around long.

Bench has been a crucial partner for our small business. Their monthly bookkeeping has helped us stay atop our financial health and prep up us ideally come tax season. They are communicative and helpful every step of the way. I would recommend them for any fellow small business looking to get bookkeeping off their plate!

There have been hitches in the bench platform, but every person I have interacted with has been amazing. our bookkeeper Meher is the best, very pleasant and professional and I always feel like she actually cares. I would have a drastically more difficult time running my business if I didn't have bench.

Meher, my personal book keeper has been great. For Tax Year 2025 my taxes were done quickly and accurately.

Overall, they are great now, I love working with Mariel who manages my account! She's been with me for years now, and I've been lucky with who they select for me (make sure to let them know if it's not a good fit!). Not ALL account managers are created equal.

Bench went through a wonky transition when purchased, and thankfully they came out the other side.

I've been with Bench 10 years. It was a little rocky in 2024 as they had delays on getting my books done and then they suddenly shut down in December of 24' only to reopen under the current owner. Things drastically improved in 2025 and I have had no trouble getting my numbers ever since. I give Bench 5 stars based on the last year of experience with them as it is only fair to rate them under the new company, not past failures under different leadership. I think they offer a good value and their platform is relatively easy to learn and operate. Keep up the good work!

We loved being a Bench customer, and as a small-to-medium size tech startup I really feel grateful for their work over the last few years. All of our accountants (especially Jannella) and tax accounts were efficient and communicative, and Benjamin, our Support Manager, was the best to work with once our company got acquired.

I've been with Bench for years now and I am happy with my bookkeeping! Special shout-out to my bookkeeper Sarah. She is an absolute star! Bench makes it easy to access all my information and communicate through their platform, and the personal attention I receive is fantastic.

I run a small business and have no accounting experience or time to learn. Bench makes my life super easy by taking the lead on running my books and asks for my input only when needed. My bookkeeper Mohammed is the best and puts up with all my dumb questions.

Bench accounting uses a lot of chatting and messaging but you can make telephone appointments. The price is good for medium and bigger companies. If you just have one or two employees, it would be good compare prices. I wish it was about 1k less per year for smaller companies. But my CPA said the presentation of books to him are "outstanding", and they do a good job of responding to any concerns you may have. Strong accounting is critical for a business. We highly recommend Bench for your business.

What made the biggest difference this year was that I logged in once per week, never missed a single week. This ensured that their team never waited more than a week to get replies for me to clarify any point.

Last few years, I was not logging in consistently, and before you know it it's been one month that they wait for an answer. Time flies.
