James & Alex were very helpful and responsive throughout the whole process, and having a good M&A team can be reassuring, on what is always going to be a fairly wild ride. Important to remember that, a allot of work and attention to detail, still rests with the seller and all points and all contracts, are worthy of reflection. Benmark where flexible, fair, and responsive throughout from negoting the contract with them, to final payments, and working the buyer. We reviewed five M&A firms, to assist us in our project, and at the end of the day, I am confident we chose the right one for our situation. Thanks Guys!

The Company was not an easy sell, operating in the W.African Oil & Gas sector as we do and after being hit badly by the pandemic, but we got there in the end, despite several false starts.
I found Benchmark's help invaluable when actually negotiating the transaction and drawing up terms of sale to protect seller's interests.

I signed up in November 2019, just before the pandemic. They suggested it would take 2 years to sell my company. With the 2-year pandemic, I reckoned on 4 years or maybe a bit longer. Nevertheless, without embellishment...I paid a £12k up front fee for nothing. Biggest dupe I ever fell for. Feckless, incompetent, a trail of errors and failures and they constantly used their junior staff to handle my account, with the worst copywriting ever. I had to re-write it myself. Then a gap of 14 months without any contact from them, proving that they do not try to sell your company. I could go on. Anyone considering using this rabble should think again. Benchmark, do not insult me further, by responding to this review.

Using benchmark was as pleasant an experience as selling your business can be. They hold your hands and are very communicative.
The only thing i would be wary of in future is a discounted reductio for the seller if the contact is given after an initial period. This isnt fair. The seller could possibly give a lead to the agency to approach after 6 months and this isnt reflected in their t&c's which is not really very nice

We selected Benchmark in a four month process reviewing a large number of contenders to work with us in finding the right partner to take our company to market.
From the start of the project Benchmark were responsive and diligent. Together we produced the Information Memorandum quickly and efficiently and we attracted interest from 70 potential buyers.
We selected the preferred bidder within 6 months of starting the marketing campaign and completed the deal after another 5 months.

Unsolicited emails that looks spammy, they keep emailing from random domain names that links to benchmark international, with no unsubscribe button, pretending they want to acquire your business.
Selling a business is a very daunting experience and Benchmark's personnel were with us all the way. I have never sold a business before and I found their experience, patience and hand holding were exceptional. Their depth of knowledge and access to large databases of buyers assisted in achieving a number of quality potential interested parties.
Benchmark was by our side going through the introductions and guiding us with the do's and don'ts when we spoke to the potential buyer directly. Once a buyer was agreed upon, the next stage was documents... a lot of documents..
Again their, patience, experience and keeping my expectations real, came into play and made this part of the process flow as smoothly as possible and, eventually, we got over the line.
I have huge praise for Benchmark and have no problem in recommending them to buyers or sellers of businesses.
