Helped in record time
After being sent left and right by the NHS with insane waiting times i thought all hope was lost, but contacted Benenden just incase they could help with this situation. I was seen by ine of their appointed specialist and a surgery was scheduled for 2 months later. I cannot fault the service.

I got an appointment quickly for a consultation & the consultant was very caring. The staff were lovely & the hospital was spotlessly clean.
I was disappointed to learn that Benenden don’t do hip replacements & now I have to wait 1 year for a hip replacement on the NHS, despite being housebound since Xmas & inna lot of pain & have been told it is a years wait fir a bio replacement.

First class experience
My eyesight deteriorated quite rapidly after I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. NHS waiting time was 56 weeks. I was worried I would need to stop driving. I applied to Benenden for assistance and was given a choice of highly skilled specialists.
Following consultation, with severe cataracts diagnosed, Benenden approved the surgery within a day, and the surgery was carried with 3 or 4 weeks in total. At all stages the consultant kept me informed and was always available to answer any questions. First class service from Benenden and from their approved consultant.

Excellent service from start to finish
Excellent service from start to finish. I simply made an appointment on the app and the GP called as planned. They were very caring, took the time to listen to my concerns, and made me feel heard throughout the consultation. My prescription was issued promptly and delivered the following day. Highly recommended.

Great except choices of surgeon and hospital.
From diagnostic to treatment my experience was good. The only issues I had was not being able to have treatment at the same place my diagnostic was done, especially as I am
Housebound and disabled. I had to travel when I had a hospital very close to me which is where I met the consultant but the surgery had to be done somewhere else! Why?
Also I only had one option of a consultant and my initial offer of consultants were over an hours drive away, which when travelling by taxi is too far for me and I had to call and plead for a local hospital, again Why?

In regards to your change in location for treatment, we work with a network of Hospitals across the UK for diagnosis and treatment however, some only provide diagnosis and differing ones provide treatment. In some cases, this does mean that members have to travel to a different location for their treatment.
