All the Negative reviews here are true, don’t waste your time with them, you need to fight for your money before you get paid.
The agency has few clients because of their unprofessional behaviour & if they see you are smart, they stop giving you shift and start targeting another novice

Great communication, paid me every single hour I've worked for them and on time. The girls in the Darlington office, Millie and Dani are down to earth in term of communication, knowledgeable and understanding. It's great working with them. Highly recommended.
If there was 0 stars I would give that. I entered my details on the website and later was contacted by a member of staff via whatsapp. After reading the reviews I decided not to proceed. When the agent messaged me I told her I wasn’t interested anymore, she kept questioning me why, I said I don’t need a job anymore, she was so rude, she started swearing at me. I have taken screenshots for proof and will be taking this further. Stay away.

Charlie couldn’t have been more helpful, knowledgeable honest and professional she’s placed at the KingsLynn office I recommend anyone looking for a job in this area to contact her you will not be disappointed
Put in for a job got told that the position wasn't available anymore however we can put you forward for this one so I said yes and I got told someone more qualified had gotten it, the job was delivering milk at night, then they text me with another job and the same happened and now not heard from them in 3 weeks, bad recruitment agency.

I applied for a temp admin role in late December, had a call with one of the recruiters and filled in/sent over all the required documents. Had a registration call at the start of January where the recruiter advised everything was good to go.
Didn't hear anything for a while, so I asked the recruiter if the role was still going ahead, she said it was, and that she was just waiting on the client confirming some details. Radio silence again followed, so I asked for another update, and was told again they would be in touch once they finalised everything.
Last night I saw the job reposted and I'm utterly disgusted that they would string me along for 2 months with no obvious intention of taking me on. I turned down other roles for this, and now I have to start my job search all over again.
I since have deleted my account with this agency and I will be avoiding applying to them again. I would not recommend Berry Recruitment to anyone actually looking for a job.

Can't even this company a 0 wish I could I have worked for these for just over a month and had 2 days work . The set up was quick to get me on system just to get no jobs this company is a scammer . You keep applying for jobs just to get refused constantly. I am qualified for these jobs yet don't get them if I was you and thinking of joining berry recruitment don't bother look for something else . I have deleted my account with them and looking for something else now. Don't ring them asking about applications either they just don't care and are rude as hell giving jobs to regular staff . Sod everyone else . Worst company ever. I applied for a private hospital catering job which didn't exist. When I rang to ask were it was. The response was this was just to get you on the system so there putting fake jobs online so you apply for them so they get there commission for you joining there scam
100% need to avoid this agency at all costs. The staff are no help at all and need to be trained professionally, same goes for the manager. I asked to reschedule my interview as something had come up but instead of rescheduling they questioned me and then at the end did not reschedule for me.

Staff at your branch in Oxford need to be retrained for customer service as there is a young lady who has a attertude problems. Rude and disrespectful.

Sad to say, i had a terrible experience on my screening process after my interview. For a hospitality company, the management are not very polite and ready to help employees in desperate times. I had an issue with my PCC, and needed guidance, phoned a lady, and was asked to get myself ready (open the link) and call back. I called back a couple of minutes later, only for Patrick to answer the phone, I tried explaining to him what i had on with the previous lady on the phone ,then he interrupted and said "yeah he knows" and proceeds to ask me how he can help me. I tried explaining to him over and over again that i cant get the help they assume i can. He followed to say i have called 5 times today and they already told me there was nothing they can do. His intonation and manner of approach was over the bar, it was almost as if he wanted to go wild with me........i kept my calm....bla..bla..bla.. he said its either i have to do it my self or i couldnt work with them...Then i terminated my application over the phone with them.
If you're reading this Patrick, you we're not nice to me, there we're several ways y'all coulda helped, I also work in hospitality and was a receptionist once, but instead of LISTENING to me, not hearing, LISTENING!!!, you were out for comebacks.

Shocking communication from the Kings Lynn branch. Absolutely no interest in you once the interview is complete - avoid.

So worked through berry as a processing assistant through Sopra. Overall the agency is below average. Consultants need to pay more time trying to support their candidates and less time just processing timesheets. Messed up my pay a couple of times and was supposed to get a loyalty bonus of £1200 which was supposed to be paid on the date the company said and wasn’t. Got a message back saying sorry there was a mix up in the finance department which is completely unacceptable. This job was a Saturday job so wasn’t a huge issue but for people relying on there wages week to week you will have a mental breakdown. Payments don’t come in on the agreed times. The company struggles with processing timesheets after bank holiday. If you would like me to recruit for payroll staff more than happy to. I’m not being funny but it’s one day so should be able to deal with bank holidays. Terrible candidate management and overall wouldn’t recommend. Very blasé attitude to late payments. Emailed about fining me more work once contract ended but nothing. Berry’s are supposed to be sweet but the agency is definitely not 😩.

Longwinded registration app etc smoke and mirrors to look good but really don’t care or even know who’s working where etc. An app where they send u notifications all the time reminding you have shifts and even want you to tell them on app when you leave for work, all for their benefit as don’t seem to be able to spare even pen and paper to have a record of who’s where or should be paid what when comes to the one thing they have to do once get you in. Avoid

This company is a joke. So first of all I applied for a job and then had an email telling me to ring up for more information and when I rang them they just told me to download their app… surely they could of just told me that through the email? Then when I finished the whole sign up process they told me they’d have work available in a couple of days but they didn’t contact me until about 2 weeks after that. The place that I got sent to for my first shift was probably one of the worst shifts I’ve ever done in my life, the place was a hell hole, and then to top it off berry did not pay me correctly, so I tried ringing, couldn't get through so I text and emailed them, still no reply and then the next day they deactivated my account from the app so that they don’t have to bother dealing with paying what they owe me! Absolute scumbags. Avoid this agency.

I can’t believe all these 1 star negative reviews I signed up for berry recruitment and newly had a interview but after reading all these comments about staff especially at the Warrington branch I can believe it because the staff are so rude.
I’ve had to block the number because the keep texting me they ignore emails and are obsessed with you ringing them they don’t answer emails very quick the slightest question has to be a phone call but
this is ridiculous a quick question can be answered over a quick email I won’t be recommending this company to anyone all I asked is what training courses I needed to do over email but no I have to ring up its probably so they can be even more rude over the phone I’ve added a picture of them moaning because I made a Google review which I have ever right to

Applied for a job advertised by berry recruitment. Kira who originally was assigned to this job was great and managed this very well. Got me through with a zoom interview and then finally I went into the office for a second stage interview on Monday 15th hoping to hear back end of the week. Which I was told by both kira and Belal after calling several times hearing from belal that kira was unwell then another young lady I spoke to today confirmed she has left the business. There was no handover or anything. It was me chasing several times to find out if they had spoken to the client no one bothered to call me back. Then when I did call today at 3pm Belal did not want to speak to me clearly and told his work colleague that the client had taken someone else on. I think this is was poorly managed and as new candidate working in a recruitment company myself this has to be the worst experience speaking to an agency. I have asked to take my details off the system and will never be applying for a job with berry recruitment what a waste of 2 weeks!

Hello, Thank you for the series of hostility. It’s axiomatic you need slaves not workers which I’m not one. Attached to this email are screenshots of similar complaints. If I’m getting the same treatment by now, it means nothing has been done about it. I wasn’t trained in anyway to accommodate the level of disrespect and condescending actions I’ve received from Berry recruitment. I remember the very first call I put through to you guys, I was told I had to have stayed in the UK for 3 years, only then would I be able to register. I’d never heard of such. I asked if there was any other option ? The answer was “No(despicably, I must say) ” as a matter of fact, I assumed the person prolly wasn’t in a good mood. So I thought to call again hoping someone else would pick up. So, I called again, someone else this time(a male) picked up, then I asked the same question and told him the answer I’d received, he said if I could get a police report from my country, that would be fine. Contradicting informations, yea ??. I was told I needed my DBS and food safety training done to be able to get offers. Any other thing ?? “No”… few weeks in with barely any offer, I needed to do 2 extra trainings to be able to get offers. Really ?? Why wasn’t that added to the whole bunch from the very start ?? Obviously, No questions, you just do as you are told.
That lady no doubt is the same person I’ve been conversing with so far. Perhaps the issue really isn’t berry recruitment but rather the lady I’ve been conversing with. Always so hard to hold a conversation with, every word from her mouth is tainted with arrogance. So hubristic to the very core. This is the height of it. of all things that could pass as a lie, I would lie about travelling home ?? How does that sound ?? Calling me a liar for what exactly ??! I recorded this last call. I wish I did every single conversation I’ve had with you guys. Nonetheless, I’ll keep this one for future reference. And I can promise you, for as many people that care to know, I’ll tell about this humiliating experience. Even as a last resort, berry shouldn’t be considered as a sane agency to work with. It’s that horrible.
Thank you for the wasted efforts. Cheers
