Very close to the advice I received from a professional bike fitter, with little effort and at a very reasonable price. Seems the results are a good starting point to determine the frame size and to do adjustments later on. The bike database may not be complete and up-to-date, but it contains a lot of compareable brands and types. Thumbs up.

UPDATE: I need to edit my Experience. I went to a professional Bikefitting for 180 Euro. The results where more or less the same as here so I have to admit if you take correct measurements it is ok.
I still believe that the information on how to install the cleats and the angles can be better. thus -1 star.

I was really excited to try BestBikeAdvice's bike fitting service, but my experience was frustrating and disappointing. The process itself seemed promising: I filled out all the required information, provided my measurements, and eagerly awaited the results. However, after spending time going through the entire process, I was hit with a paywall at the very end!

Nowhere in the steps was there any indication that I would need to pay for the results. It felt like a bait-and-switch situation, where you're encouraged to invest your time and trust, only to discover you can't actually access the final result without paying.

I understand that businesses need to make money, but this lack of transparency was a dealbreaker for me. If they'd been upfront about the cost from the beginning, I would have made an informed decision. Instead, it felt deceptive.

I won’t be using this service again and wouldn't recommend it to others unless they change their approach to be more honest about costs.

I think the lack is the absence of up to date databases of the bikes. It is all 2023 info and as such the is no fit being made on the newest bikes (the new canyon aeroad, new trek madone etc.)
Also. There are too many brands and types missing.
So the measurement part is I think ok but the matching and bike advice is a bit poor because of the above mentioned.

The fittings didn‘t work on my bike. So simple for the price.

Professional approach and exhaustive report at completion of analysis

I am no expert but I think the bike fitting was perfect and the advised settings made sense. I was also able to ask some more questions and Best Bike Advice (Jaap) repplied quick, detailed and really took his time for me. I see no reason why you shouldnt do a bike fit by Best Bike Advice.

Easy app with good outcome

I was originally wary of getting a bike fit online. Having previously had a professional bike fit for another bike, I tried to import the measurements onto a new road bike. No matter how I tried I could not get comfy. I was in a lot of pain and had considered splashing out a lot of money on a second professional bike fit. I fully appreciate that the geometry of the different bikes would have an impact, but I thought for a small fee I would give this a go. I am pleasantly surprised with its outcome and it's guidance, and have found that I am now very comfy on my new bike. My pressure points are no longer in pain and I am starting to put out personal bests with regards to power.

I used the app to determine a range of frame sizes for both road and mtb bikes. This allowed me to screen which bikes to test ride/demo and which ones were not likely to fit. Very effective, as I am a woman on the tall side, and many frames have a short stack height and long reach dimension, which does not work for me.

The "bike fit" was so simple without any specific information. Waste of money.

It was straightforward and I got a lot of useful information to improve the set-up of my bike.

Really comprehensive assessment and advice. I was even advised to double check my measurements when they didn't look quite right.
