I sort of found this site by accident but I love it. Tried many betting sites over the years most of them promise the world and disapoint. Betconnect is perfect if you like sports betting it's just what you need

such a terrible company , i was making a profit using the service but still got pestered by their compliance team ,,,shame , but the people run this company seem to have no idea what their customers what........

I would give zero if I could.ive had a 3week timeout being responsible for gambling awareness time in November.these have closed my account for doing so.

Enjoyed the site but my account got quickly suspended for an unknown reason. I was asked to talk to the compliance team who just told me it’s permanently closed.

No reasoning. Great site. Poor customer service.

Such a terrible product. Have to wait ages for the "premium users" to place down there "£200" stake even though they obviously just need to put down a £10 or £20 stake. The advantage between non-premium uses and premium users is incredibly unbalanced, and its just scammy to let subscribers of oddsmonkey frustrate other non-premium users like this.

When I started using BetConnect I found them professional and collaborative. Presumably, as they became more successful, they became arrogant and dishonest, to the point where their 'customer service' stopped replying to my honest queries. So I stopped using them & discovered that other Exchanges had decent lay odds if you look a bit further down the list!

Best way to use this site from a value betting point of view is to simply look on the lay side of the site and bet with the bookmaker on those selections as they’re basically free value bets. This is for horse racing. Prime time is around 9:30am when the markets become liquid. The prices will reduce over time. You’re account will get blocked pretty quickly doing this though lol

I've had my account for a good few years now after betconnect got recommended by a YouTube betting influencer. I cannot remember if I got Document checked but if I did it was painless as I cannot remember it, although if there is a bookies mug sheet I will be on it, I suspect a two-teared system of checks, but who knows? :). As a mug punter who will bet on everything and anything markets are limited, no outright markets for tournaments and if you want a market leading price as listed on oddschecker you will have to try and get your bet on early. If you want a bet just before the off you will have to accept poor market odds and if you want to get a bet on UK racing just before the off you will regularly only be offered priced below the SP which is dire. The site is clearly set up for traders and not punters with the traders I assume simply laying your Betconnect bet off on other markets to take the free value. I regularly bet on UK and NRL rugby league markets but a couple of weeks ago the markets simply disappeared. I contacted support at the time and they said they would look into it, the markets have just reappeared but I've since gone elsewhere and I've now realised why would I? They fairly recently started taking commission from winning bets as well! I could understand it if the site was providing exchange prices but they are a million miles away. They sometimes also take quite a while to settle bets but the support is super responsive and very efficient, industry-leading from my experience. Payment is good, sometimes within an hour but mostly by midday the following day, but you will get paid. My betconnect stats read: £7414.00 in £7243.90 out. I'm neither an angry losing gambler or a nonsense company employee reviewer trying to boost the company rating.😀 Another bonus for me was also the fact they didn't have a casino. Mixed bag.

Depends what you are after but its a total waste of time for value betting. Looked at over 40 potential value bets over the past few days and not one of them was available on BetConnect. They are not even obscure markets either. Just not available on BetConnect. Wont be depositing any money with them. Totally pointless.

Waste of time. Placed numerous small bets over a two day period and only one in five got accepted. Even took under the odds in some cases but still got rejected. What is the business model of this site ?

Well after a recent 5 star review I guess the inevitable has happened and they have closed my account for no reason. I have deposited £7k into this account and was around £700 in profit. I asked for an explanation and they said “we do not give reason”. Being an exchange to close people’s accounts for no reason seems totally against what they promise. I’m not aware of real exchanges such as Betfair or Betdaq ever closing someone’s account without an explanation. BetConnect promised an innovative exchange where winners were welcome but sadly as others have said on this review site they are not a serious option for any decent backer or layer so please bear this in mind if you’re thinking of signing up. My strong advice would be to stick to a proper exchange such as Betfair or Betdaq as BetConnect are a very poor imitation

Have always given this company a 5 star rating due to their promise of introducing AMERICAN HORSE RACING to the platform.
However after many years have gone by they have failed to introduce even a single USA horse meeting.When you mention it to them they do NOT reply.
AVOID.

Been on this a few times i always withdraw my money without ever taking a bet , just for example , bet connect bet365 price for a horse is 10s they want you to lay this at 10 , bet 365 price on there own site to back its 7s on the exchange is 8.8 and on bet connect its 7 to back , so mugs like us only get offered the lay bets no one will touch

Had a account for a while and used to love the old site, was like a little community. Have fond memories of the pros I use to follow and lay to lose a fixed amount.
When they changed the site a few years ago I gave up but use to check in sporadically to see if things had improved. Answer no.
Then went to log in and told account was suspended. Wasn't that bothered as had no skin in the game but would like to know why. Told someone would ring me. When the phone call came was asked what I used the account for, why was I logging in and not betting. Told him the above. He said he would pass it on to the compliance department which was obviously him as well as everything else including the tea boy and cleaner.
A few days later a email saying account was closed and not one single reason given.
Just find it very odd that a betting firm with a very sad level of business would act like that.
I don't advise anyone to use this site as they could be closed down for the simple reason they weren't playing their game.

BetConnect decided to suspend my account without any notice.

When I asked as to why they decided to do this, their customer support informed me that their compliance team would be in touch to speak with me.

I had a very bizarre conversation on the phone with one of their representatives, who asked me lots of questions about what I was using the account for. He seemed concerned that I logged into the account regulalrly but placed few bets and that I was "using up bandwidth". I find this strange - you wouldn't find any other major operators asking why you're not placing enough bets.

Today I have had an email saying "Following a recent review, we regret to inform you that unfortunately your account will no longer be available to you". No further context given.

Just as a side note - this is not an AML / Responsible Gambling closure as the activity was very light and would have been either in profit or loss of a very small amount.

Bizarre decision and very strange behaviour.

Avoid this operator.

Update 20/02/24 - Comms regarding this came from customer support at OddsMonkey's Zendesk account [support [a] oddsmonkey zendesk com] Zendesk is a customer service platform used by many gambling operators. Why is Odds Monkey replying to me and making a decision about my account closure?

Can't help thinking these guys are missing a trick / a huge window of opportunity. There are a huge number of disgruntled / disaffected / excluded, premium charge and / or excessive ID / earnings requirement-affected customers of the 4 main UK betting exchanges; so this site is crying out for a proper exchange interface, even if it's side-by-side with the current interface. Turnover & the number of customers (hence their commission) would then be massively increased.

Amazing customer service. A must for matched bettors. Join oddsmonkey and sync with betconnect for easy profits.

Since starting to use Betconnect I have made £450 in the last two months just by using the unique £0ql matching in order to go BOG hunting on some underused bookie accounts.

The ability to temporarily lock a lay bet for a minute before confirming allows you to be confident your back bet is at the right odds before laying. This has saved my bacon quite a few times when the back odds have moved suddenly.

I've had a couple of niggles where although I've locked a lay bet, when I go to lay it, it's suddenly unavailable but this is a real exception.

Overall a fantastic thing to use even for a very experienced match better.
