I had a pretty terrible experience at Better Med. I scheduled an antibody test online since I would be traveling soon. Several others at my work had already had COVID so I thought it was possible that I already had it too without knowing. When I arrived a few minutes early, I walked inside, but they told me to go back to the car and wait until someone called me when they were ready. When I got the call, the lady on the phone was very rude. She tried to talk me out of getting the antibody test for over 5 minutes. She explained that it is possibly for the test to come back negative if you had it 90 days before. I kept telling her I didn't care I wanted to the test anyway. After all, I just drive 20 min for this appointment. Then she told me my insurance might not pay for it, even though online it says it takes all major insurance (I have Highmark). She said she "tried" calling but could not reach my insurance. I asked her how much the test would be and she said $180. I said I did not want the test unless my insurance would pay for it so she said I had 10 minutes to reach my insurance before she would cancel my appointment all together. I finally got a hold of my insurance and they said they would pay for it. Then they told me to wait a few minutes before they were ready for me. I was finally able to go inside (now it is 20 min after my appt). The nurse also had poor customer service. She was not friendly and did not explain what was happening. She took my blood and then told me to wait in a room. She didn't say why or how long. After 20 minutes I finally got up and found someone and asked them what was going on, and I said I needed to leave because I was going to be late for work now. This employee was actually very nice and said they could just call me with the results. So why why I was waiting in this room fo 20 min! I do not recommend coming to better med, at least not the one near Recency Square. They should have told me I needed to call my insurance before instead of trying to tell me there. And they should not try to talk you out of the antibody test when you are already sitting in the parking lot. I understand the stress of COVID on health care workers, but it is no excuse to be rude to patients.
wouldnt submit to lab for 2-5day test. asked nurse 3 times. even though the other nurse that helped my ops manage (appt 15 minutes apart) gave the option. Went to CVS directly after.
I was the last patient of the day.... I was happy to get in to get my Covid 19 Rapid Test. But it was evident they wanted to go home. Did not take my weight or height.... asked me instead. Took a poor blood pressure reading due to not having me take my arm out of a top that was too tight! Explained the high reading to me as due to my clothing BUT did not want to take a second accurate reading. Would not go back there....

I have now been to BetterMed three times for rapid Covid-19 tests. Each time, I've had a very nice experience. My appointments have been on time and staff members have been kind and courteous.

Always impressed... the provider was so thorough and spent the time to share experiences and suggestions. He was thoughtful in his approach with my daughter and was very reassuring to her that what she was experiencing was not uncommon. This doesn't happen often as providers are so busy to move onto whomever is next but not once did we ever feel rushed.
Nice and professional. They don't appear to be rushing when dealing with you as a patient.
