I DO NOT RECOMMEND Better Tax
I do not recommend Better Tax. I am in a worse situation than I was a year ago, and now I have a $ 1,000-per-month payment plan with the IRS. We paid these people faithfully every month $230 dollars to actually help us do nothing. We were always confused, and in their final resolution, they did not include us in anything; they just told us what we would be paying the IRS monthly. I told them I lost my job, and still the same resolution. We had been told that some older tax years would fall off; they couldn't tell us which years and resolved with the IRS without our best interests in mind.
If I could do it all over again, I would probably just take my chances with the IRS. They are slow to respond; you will have what they need, and then they ghost you for a couple of weeks, like you're the problem.
I am out of money that I could have used in a different way.
Horrible service.

Don't Recommend Better Tax Relief
I have had Better Tax Relief for over a year now. They won't give me any updates as to my case. When I hit a snag and the banker i was working with quit her job they threatened every week to cancel me for lack of contact even though I was calling them every week. They took payments easy enough but won't work with their clients. This company causes nothing but frustration. I am looking for a lawyer to sue them

$490 for give me instructions not for any action
After I paid the initial $490 they sent me instructions that I already knew. Then they said if I needed more help just like to take actions in the case, I had to pay $500 more. I already know that approach, they will ask $500 every time a single issue shows up, and in the end will charge the amount of the debt to the IRS or even more. I got rid of them. Thanks for nothing. I just realized that there were companies that offer not to charge a single penny till they have the case in progress. They will reply as Usual offering help, however this is an automatic reply lacking of real desire to help and fix the problem. All they want is your money.
