I ordered from a local restaurant for my son’s birthday.

I ordered from a local restaurant for my severely disabled son’s birthday. Chinese food is his favorite and we have it every year on his special day. The food was delicious, as always, but unfortunately they forgot his Egg Foo Young, which was very disappointing. The owners do not speak English, so it would have been too difficult to go back and explain the problem . I decided to write to Beyond Menu, with only the thought that they might let the owners know how important it is to check the orders before giving it to the customer. Not only did they write back in record time, they contacted the owners and we received an adjustment on our bill. This happened in a matter of hours and was so unexpected and heartwarming. In an often cold and impersonal world, it was wonderful to know a kind person , by the name of Lei, took the time to read my letter and to act on it immediately. As I told Lei, my faith in humanity had been restored! I give Beyond Menu ( and New China restaurant) 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

i would give it zero stars if I could

i would give it zero stars if I could. we ordered our food at 7:20 with a quoted delivery time of 45 minutes. I got a text at 8:09 saying the food was on the way (we live 6 miles from the restaurant). at 8:40 the food still had not arrived. When I called to complain, customer service said "sorry" but offered no compensation. After a long negotiation on the phone, they offered to reimburse me for the $10 tip I gave to the driver. Will avoid this service whenever possible.

The Delivery service sucks

The Delivery service sucks. It sucks the craving for the food out of you. I have been waiting for 3 hours to get the food I ordered three hours ago. The delivery driver cant tell Street from Place. They took the food to the wrong address twice, and now I have to pick the food up. The representative that answered the phone was polite and patient, but they need better drivers..

the worst delivery platform ever

the worst delivery platform ever. it went ahead and charged my card without sending the order to the restaurant. second time i tried, waited over an hour before calling the restaurant that informed us no delivery person ever showed up to pick up our order. our order was never delivered. what a waste of time.

Sleezy business practices

I thought I ordered from my local restaurant when I did a google search for its name, but it went to a Beyond Menu site instead (you can't tell that its not the official site). So I ordered and got the food, found out later that the total cost was about $5 more to order through Beyond Menu. Completely sleezy

This company sucks China House Express…

This company sucks China House Express on Britton road played like they didn’t get the order nor did they have beyond menus number to tell them they didn’t get the order. Both are horrible. After I showed them I placed the order they still played like they didn’t get the order and couldn't call their third party company I drove off and beyond menu called me 30 mins later with refund after I had called my bank. China house express won’t ever get my money again whether, you phone in your order or go it online they play stupid like the order never existed. And this third party beyond menu sucks cuz they’re all in on it.you just got yo catch it. That’s the only way I was able to get a refund.

Beyond menu is a complete and total…

Beyond menu is a complete and total scam. Do not order through Beyond Menu. Restaurants have figured out their scam and won’t even give your food to their drivers if a driver even shows up. Beyond Menu should be shut down for fraud.

I ordered online last night for pickup…

I ordered items at Hong Kong Chef thru BeyondMenu online last night for pickup today, April 5, at 11:30 AM, PST. I received confirmation of the order and the payment. So, today, I called Hong Kong Chef at 11:10 to follow up ; and was told that there was no such order. I called BeyondMenu and indeed, they had not sent the order. My son had to re-order the items and pay for them. It appears that this experience is not unique to me; a number of the reviews were about orders being missed. For, supposedly, a small business, this is a very bad start.

Thieves.

These assholes are thieves. Not even smart thieves at that. I can see where they are with my food, on a map. After 40 minutes being late, the dipshit that picked up my order took my food to a hotel nearby where he’s been for over an hour. There’s not even a name or contact info for these morons. I think we should all come together for a class action lawsuit against beyond menu.

Multiple bad experiences

Multiple bad experiences. Against my better judgement I attempted again today hoping for a better result. Nope. Order was supposed to take 30 min. It took an additional hour. So an hour and a half from order time to go 5 miles. Watched the driver make multiple stops in the opposite direction on the tracker. Paid $20 additional between delivery fee and tip. Never again.

This site is a complete sham

This site is a complete sham. I ordered from them and they don’t even have dedicated drivers or workers for their site. They use your order and put it into uber or some other app and match it with a driver there. This is a problem because your food will not be delivered, the driver usually just takes a photo of your door and leaves with your food. Beyond Menu can’t contact the driver, and you can’t contact the driver since the uber account that made the order isn’t yours. Last night it took me thirty minutes of a bunch of phone calls to get a refund and I had to make all of those call. Please just order from another service where you, the customer can track the driver and see where they are at all times. I don’t even post reviews but after such a frustrating experience I had no choice. Take your business elsewhere.

Beware

Beware — this restaurant charges a transaction fee for online pickup orders! I had no idea until after I placed my order. If I’d known, I would have just called directly and saved the extra cost. Even the restaurant told me next time to call. It feels misleading and unfair to surprise customers with hidden fees. Very disappointing experience — I won’t be ordering this way or from this restaurant again.

They dropped the ball and never picked up from restaurant

Yesterday Pre ordered a huge meal for Christmas for delivery at 4p. At 415 I called the restaurant and they said the ordered was waiting for pickup. They asked who the carrier was and I told them, beyond menu. They said they would find a way to get it to us. Next time I checked the status, it was being delivered by Uber eats. This company dropped the ball, it's 445 and we still don't have our food.

Horrible service

The service is horrible payed for delivery and tip and I still had to go pick it up myself
Now we are going back and forth with refund
For delivery and tip never use this service again
If there is an update with any refund I will come back and say
Update still no refund $30.90 they owe me they up charge on the restaurant . beyond menu that is the worst DO NOT use them !!

Driver was unprofessional

The delivery driver had a difficult time finding my townhouse and when she called and I attempted to give her instructions she got flustered and said she was going to leave my food on the side of the street. I ended up walking pretty far in the cold to find her because she made no attempt to deliver the food. Very unprofessional. It was below freezing. What’s the point of requesting delivery if customers need to come outside and find the driver. The point of paying for delivery in the cold is to get food delivered to your door.

Just another ripoff

This company only cares about the monetary transaction. If something goes wrong they just punt you back to the restaurant. In my opinion, if they are a part of a transaction, they should bear at least some of the responsibility and help solve the problem. Not using this company again even if it means I need to order from a non affiliated restaurant.
