Big Bus Tours Istanbul Reviews 390

1) Boat trip was only 1/3 of the route shown on the map.
2) Audio guide kept dropping out requiring constant attention.
3) Audio was not synced correcty with the actual sights.
Expensive and not worth it.

It is almost 2 hours a tour. Foods are a litle expensive but view is amazing.

I think it is overpriced. It uses the same route and as the traffic is so bad in Istanbul, the ticket should be cheaper.

Red Line was very good. We took it a number of times in 3 days. Plenty to see and hopping on and off convenient as next bus came every half hour. Not so with Blue Line. Mostly boring itinerary. Infrequent stops and it only came once every hour. We took it once to check out the itinerary. Would not take it a second time.

Poor customer service, and water and soft drinks on board are sold at extremely expensive prices in US Dollars, around 14 times the consumer prices.
I gave it 2 stars just for the tour. The bad customer service and expensive on-board prices deserve 0 rating. Avoid it. There are much better alternative services than this. If u must use them, make sure to pack up on drinks, candies and munchies before you board.

We did this tour with my elderly Mom. We did the red tour and then the the boat tour. On the boat tour, we got off at the wrong (one too early) stop and then, slightly confused (as no one appeared to understand us or help us at this “wrong stop” - not Big Bus issue!) took a public boat to the next boat stop where we “met” the blue line bus. Surprisingly, the blue bus was supposed to be out of service by that time in the evening, but we got in at around 5:30pm and did the whole blue line which was really good and unexpected. So, we basically got our money worth for the day because of that. The commentary was good throughout and it turns on at the right time. We really enjoyed the experience - it was a good choice. -We attempted numerous times to contact the Istanbul staff with questions I had about the tour, but never received a reply.
-The "Real-time" locator on the app didn't seem to work.
-Once on the bus, the languages were all mixed up and not in the order that is shown (i.e: 1.Spanish, 2.Italian, 3.English etc) but most importantly there was NO english! My partner & I changed seats twice and couldn't find English anywhere. Other people around us also had the same problem. Essentially, we spent most of the tour not knowing where we were or what we were looking at. Very disappointing & frustrating.

The service provided the the stop manager at Sultanahment (he was there yesterday evening and Monday May 13 at 1pm)...Was beyond poor. He has done too many things wrong and has in many ways insulted our party...we had bought 6 premium 3 day passes.

We also had used on this trip Big Bus oin Florence...Lisbon and Roma....But after this experience, we will have to reconsider any future purchases with Big Bus.

I was on my short trip to Istanbul and was looking for some tour operator in Eminönü area, where a decent smart guy Mr Abdul Rahim briefed me about Big Bus . I bought a day tour ticket and Big Bus people took me all leadind tourist attractions . It is a great service people very friendly and helping. Recommend this service

They leave you waiting 1 hour even 90 minutes at a stop. This is made worse by Istanbul traffic. Use the metro system instead - cheaper and quicker. Usually great in other countries buy you will waste money here.

I came to Istambul for a short holiday, so i decided to try the BigBus for discover this beautiful city. The tour does a good job of hitting all the top spots, i got all the interesting information what i wanted. Im absolutely satisfied with the service, especially thanks to the friendly guy called Momo who was selling the tickets, he is so helpful and funny, he made my day :) You guys are doing a great job, thank you all, thank you Momo!
