It's en excellent way to be introduced to the city and travel between major landmarks. We really enjoyed exploring the city at our leisure, and bus stops were easy to find and frequently serviced.

I had booked this bus for my mother and chosen their premium segment and paid 39euros for 01 day and her experience was absolutely worst.
please do not buy this instead there is another pink bus by another company who gives much cheaper and better service.
They has written that they accept only ticket receipt, but the bust stop fellow was so rude with my mother and said we donot accept online ticket and you cannot board and was forcing her to go and buy one more new ticket if she wish to board in the bus.

the bus traffic frequency is very low. there are 5 companies where buses come very fast at the station. when the bus reaches the station stays at least 15-20 minutes and waits. very many dead times

Bug Bus was good
Bug Bus was great!! The Rome busses we’re noticeably older than the London Big Busses, howerver we were still pleased. It would be nice if they got closer to points such as the Vatican and the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, etc. For the most part we never had to go farther than a 15/20 minute walk from the stops to a point of interest and if you have a short amount of time in Rome this is an easy way to get around to all of the must see places without running wild!!

I would recommend to all travelers that want a great sightseeing tour of all the main monuments. This is the best idea ever!! You get to get off whenever you want, take pictures, walk around, take your time then get back on the bus. They provide headphones in many languages and maps of the city. It’s worth every penny. Get your tickets online to save some money.

Bus tour Extras
Bus tour fine, but do not buy tickets for the Colosseum from the operators: we did, to save time, at a cost of 22€ each. We had to queue then with their receipt at their office to be given another receipt which got us in. The 2nd receipt, which was proof of purchase for actual admission to the site, had the officail price of admission. 13€ ! That's a mark-up of 70%. Rip-off.

We enjoyed the ride and the commentary. I was impressed with both the knowledge of the guides and also how fluently they spoke English. One guide went out of her way to find and recommend places we might have dinner near our hotel.

Horrible timings! Not enough buses!
The buses and the staff are ok. The big problem is that they don’t have enough busses, and no costumer support. You have to wait way way more than any other company, please make yourself a favor and just go with any other bus tour option.

Would probably use a different company with more buses
The service was good and because I was limited for time during my stay in Rome, the service was very valuable in saving time trying to navigate through the train systems to get to locations, some of which I would not have even known about if not for bigbus.
What bothered me was sitting at one of the bus stops and seeing literally over 20 different rival bus services stop at the last location before another bigbus came to pick us up. Having to wait for over 30 minutes while other rival services come and go multiple times over is excruciating.

Worst bus in Rome
Worst bus in Rome. We waited for 40min at a stop, the bus arrived, but left right way. Waited another 30min no bus arrived, so we had to take alternate transportation to where we wanted to go next. Following day not much better. We needed to take the first bus out of termini, go there 20 min before and asked twice at the BIG BUS kiosk where the bus was leaving. They said to go to the main road, but the bus left right in front of the kiosk, therefore we missed it. Again we had to take alternate transportation.
Will not take this company again.

Great experience but one issue
I loved everything about my experience with Big Bus with the exception of one thing. I purchased the Deluxe ticket in Rome to have the night tour. We were only in town for a couple days before our cruise but wanted to see Rome at night. Unfortunately the night tour was cancelled due to a marathon. I realize that was not to the fault of anyone at Big Bus but I feel I should be compensated in some way since I paid more for that ticket solely for the purpose of the night tour that I was unable to do because of the marathon.
