Too much time wasted hanging around at stops 10-15 minutes on average.

We had a fantastic time with Big Bus Tours in Rome. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, informative and helpful. The buses were regular particularly the red route. Clean and radio sets all worked. We joined two free walking tours organised by Big Bus tours around the city, one to the Vatican City and the other The Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Our guide Lena (not quite sure of name) a trained archaeologist was very informative and friendly, we really enjoyed the tours and saw so much more of a Rome than we ever thought we would in such a short time. I thoroughly recommend you tagging onto a tour! Thanks so much BBTours! X

There is a roof on the second floor so you see anything !!!!! So desappointed we always take big bus in USA but I don’t know if I will again...

We always use BigBusTour, we have children with additional needs, so as parents abroad we need everything to be as straightforward and as well planned as possible. BigBusTours always allows us do this.
We took advantage of all tour routes whilst in Rome, and did the night tour as well, we loved it and so did our children.
Sitting on the top deck of the bus and turning the corner as the Colosseum came into sight was absolutely magical.
The purple tour out to the catacombs along the Appian Way really felt like we had gone back in time.
We did two nights, three days and without BigBusTours we would not have managed to see all that we did.

It was very hard to find the Big Bus stops in Rome. When I finally found a Big Bus, it broke down. We waited, but I finally got off and walked. Very disappointed.

Used the bus for 2 days. Couldn’t fault the service at all. On time, careful drivers and exceptionally knowledgeable assistants on the buses. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I used the big bus tours when in Rome and was fantastic the reps both in the bus and at each stop were great especially at the pick up points kept you informed about the time off the next bus which was was every 20 minutes. all the stops were close buy that you wanted to see in Rome,would definitely use this company again.

This is the only company that does a night tour and also goes down the Appian Way - both highlights of our stay in Rome. Very friendly staff, clean comfortable buses and live guide on night tour was excellent and very entertaining. Highly recommended

-Night tour is exactly red line tour without stops. Some variation of it would have been nice.
-Purple tour is quite short, only 30 minutes time.
-Very friendly staff.
As a whole, less value for money than other big bus lines (London, Berlin, Vienna).

I have visited many European countries many years and Night tour guide was very friendly, yet professional.... She is the best so far...BIGBUS is normally very good.

Tour bus made it easy to go from one venue to another. Staff were helpful. However tickets for each location being sold by big bus employees were more expensive than tickets sold from each location. This may be a great option on peak season to save on lines but not on low season when there are no lines.

As a solo female traveller to Rome, I thought the best way to see all the sights with ease would be to book up some kind of tour. I came across Big Bus Tours and booked their Deluxe 3 day ticket. I have seen their buses in London but have never ever used their services or any other providers, so this was a completely new experience. From day one of my trip, they were amazing! I found the stop with ease using the Big Bus App (I highly recommend downloading this) and was met buy a member of staff at the stop. He was extremely helpful and welcoming, offering (but not pushing!) different tickets to various venues at really good prices! Once on board the staff again were lovely and so helpful! You are given your free headphones to plug in on the bus as well as a really handy poncho if it has been raining. The buses were every 20 mins so they were so convenient and stopped at almost everything you could ever want to see as a tourist. Everything else was in a very short walking distance. I would highly recommend Big Bus Tours and will 100% be using their services again!

Don’t fret the single star. I preordered our Big Bus hop on/off Tour but didn’t even get to check in on it once due to my morning tour taking much too long. I checked with one of your sales guys at stop #6 and they gave me the email address to write you. I’m hoping for a full, or nearly full refund. Very sorry to have missed the sights with Big Bus.

The basic service is excellent, except I wish it ran a little longer at night. We bought a tour of the coliseum as well, but it would have been MUCH BETTER if we had the electronic commentary from the tour guide.

The guide on the night tour was funny and informative. Possibly a slower delivery would have been better.

On 18 December 2018 at Stop 3 about 17:00, we were not allowed to board the bus. Tried to talk to the bus attendant and driver but due to language issue we were no able to get much information except the bus service has stopped and would not allowed anyone aboard and close the bus door. Without any detail we were kind of lost on what to do and how to proceed back to our starting Stop. Luckily we had the bus route map and with help from the soldiers guarding the Coloseo who speak some English giving us direction on how to walk back. This unfortunate incident need some review by management on customer care and not just abandoning customer in the dark and lost.

Just had a 3 day stay in Rome. What an amazing city. Using the big bus made it so easy to get around and see so much more. We went around twice over 2 days and got off at different parts each time. So much to see. The staff at the kiosk outside the Colosseum were very helpful and not pushy. We spoke to a lady called Hana who was extremely knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. Would highly recommend this service. Thank you

I took the Big Bus Rome evening tour last night. It was very enjoyable. The guide was new (it was her very first night) and she did a wonderful job. She had a lot of interesting trivia info that I did not get on the day tour. Rome is beautiful at night! This is my third ride on the Big Bus and I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus at the stops. Excellent value for the money.

Truly enjoyed Big Bus in Paris and London! Big Bus in Rome absolutely requires a knowledgeable live tour guide. Rome is a beautiful city and so much is unknown when you don’t speak or understand the language and there’s no one to explain the highlights. Recordings don’t do this city justice. Yes, there is the free walking tour option but I could not take advantage of it because of physical limitations. I truly appreciated the live tour guide in other cities.
Having the live help makes a huge difference!
Also, the bus runs every 20 minutes (give or take) so there’s a wait if you miss the bus.
