The young woman at the counter was…
The young woman at the counter was unwelcoming and unpleasant. Our bike ride was fun but on a day when the weather wasn’t good, it was cold and very windy. We took a wrong turn and had to ask a policeman directions. In the end we arrived 9 minutes late and were rudely told by the same young woman that ‘I told you not to be late’ and tried to charge us $45 US for being late as there were four bikes. I explained that we took a wrong turn but she didn’t care and insisted we pay it or I wouldn’t get my CDN drivers license back. I even explained that we pay .30 extra for every one of those extra dollars. I had to plead with the other staff and it was embarrassing but we are not rich and it was an exorbitant amount for the extra 9 mins. A very nice staff member instructed her to waive the fee. However the young woman was rude to the bitter end. Sad way to treat tourists for sure.
