Don't waste your time and money
This is the third bike I've tried to sell on Bikesales, and the third bike that Bikesales has failed to sell for me. With a track record of zero success, I won't be using it to sell a bike again. What a waste of time and money. For a sales marketplace focused solely on selling bikes, I'm shocked at how poorly it works. Sales diagnostics say the ad gets seen, but no buyers ever seem to materialise. I'm kind of shocked to be honest. But forget about selling through Bikesales, just list it on Facebook Marketplace for free. I'm no fan of Facebook but it seems to work.

Pathetic Performance - Complete Waste of Money
Do not waste your money. $100 down the drain. Pathetic performance not a single lead generated. Save your money and time and simply sell your bike on Facebook marketplace. Prepaid websites like this should be avoided and will ultimately become redundant.

I bought a mountain bike online
I bought a mountain bike online. This guy calls me up later in the evening and says pay me $250 for shipping or I’ll cancel your order. I told him your website said free shipping so so I canceled the order I would avoid these guys, shady.

Did not get much attention for a long time
Did not get much attention for a long perod of time.
Put it on FB marketplace and sold in less than a month.
You can call it timing or luck but for a fee based selling platform, Bikesales keeps asking for more money to put your ad in front. Which means it's sits in the back burner.
No sale had a very got bike for sale…
No sale had a very got bike for sale paid for multiple ads it done nothing every one who msgs you dont even answer after contact its like they get paid two msg people its better to sell on facebook
Simple, safe and (for me) fast.
Chose Bikesales because I felt like I would reach a targeted audience and also avoid some possible risks and drama from other free platforms. The ad creation, posting, & managing process was all straightforward. Easy to go back and edit after posting. Feedback giving numbers viewing, saving etc was great, and was clear it was getting in front of a lot of people. Got a response very quickly. Liked the built in safeguards, and the process felt safe. I put in lots of good photos and a good description, and a slightly cheeky price. I did get a reply within a few days offering less - we negotiated to the middle ground, and had a sale on the first weekend. One single upfront ad payment which worked out to be a bit over 1% seems like good value, along with removing any concern about ongoing fees, and no issue with advertising on multiple platforms (not that I did in this case).
Helpful and very professional
Helpful and very professional. Outstanding best service by far.

Always results in a sale to genuine buyers.
Good results. But scammers sour experience.
Listings tend to represent higher quality portion of the market.
But Bikesales doesn't seem to take much acton in blocking identified scam enquiries. If more had been done about my scam notification to Bikesales, my selling experience would have been rated a 5/5.
Overpriced, useless service compared to free alternatives.
A useless, overpriced service compared to free alternatives. For the 4th time in two years, I have listed a motorcycle on both Bike Sales and Facebook Marketplace. Bike Sales resulted in spam calls and messages when listing my number public, and little to no interest from genuine prospective buyers. Facebook Marketplace generated far more interest and resulted in actual sales.
Bikesales Australia Review
Bikes Sales Australia allows the sale of good to high quality motor vehicles with a minimal amount of stress. The site allows access to a wider audience and confirms legitimate contacts.
Webs_ite …. Missing an h there.
Their expensive upgrade is utter rubbish. Did they get their teenagers to do it as a class project. Nothing works, nothing is intuitive , no process , no CX intelligence at all. Now I have to use Facebook to buy bikes.
Very Disappointed
Very Disappointed — No Enquiries at All
I listed my bike on BikeSales and got zero enquiries for an entire week, despite having detailed photos and a fair price. Out of curiosity, I posted the exact same ad on Facebook Marketplace with the same selling price, and the bike sold within a few hours, completely free of charge.
It’s hard to justify the listing fees when the platform doesn’t generate any traction. My experience was very underwhelming compared to free alternatives.
A painless and straight forward process…
A painless and straight forward process and the bike was sold in 2 weeks. Though I had a couple of scammers at first, but I notified BikeSales and everything was fine.

Dead Site, Don’t Bother – FB Marketplace Worked
Very disappointed with BikeSales. I received no enquiries, no notifications, and no updates—just paid the money with nothing in return.
The site feels like it’s dead. In contrast, I had 50+ enquiries through Facebook Marketplace and ended up selling there quickly.
If I had seen reviews like this earlier, I would have saved both time and money.
Avoid BikeSales—stick with FB Marketplace.

Took a while but got it sold
Positives: I like the format and layout of the ads and the control I had over the content of my ad. The 'ad performance' info provided is somewhat useful. Ad cost about $110 which I was happy to spend for presence in a marketplace that has real buyers.
Negative: Very low number of enquiries for my bike during winter. Took 4 months to sell. (My bike was a bit of a niche model.) But the enquiries I got were genuinely interested.

Two wheel obsession are just the best in the business
The owner of the business ‘ Warren rang me personally to assist me with my enquiry and spent a great deal of time working with me to ensure I made the right purchase decision. His knowledge and experience and awareness of the issues I needed to consider prior to purchasing any motorcycle were just so helpful . I cannot recommend this Dealer highly enough
