Funds Being Held Hostage By Binance

I had accidentally transfered funds into my account using a nonsupported network. This was almost 4 months ago now. Upon contacting Binance I was told there's nothing that can be done and the funds would were going to remain in a "pending state."

So I sought help elsewhere and didn't realize how many scammers there are out there at the time. I joined a group on telegram and someone who identified themselves as a TRX dev said they could help.

Anyway, I allowed them access to my account then realized they were a scam so I immediately locked them out by changing my password.

I figured Binance may see the suspicious login and freeze my account so I chose to contact them and tell them what happened, hoping to clear up the matter and avoid any further repercussions.

They are first sounded understanding but then days later without warning they locked me out of my account and asked me to verify my identity.

I've been going back and forth with them for almost 4 months now. Initially I was asked to send them my documents, a selfie holding a peice of paper with a self written statement then it turned into a video speaking the statement.

I have given them everything they asked for and have dealt with the hassle of having to send it to them more than twice, yet still my account remains locked.

The funny thing is they somehow didn't suspect a login from Romania to be suspicious, that apparently wasn't what raised the red flag.

It was my mistake of telling them about it that caused this to happen. Shows how good their security is since me logging in with the same IP that I signed up with somehow doesn't show that I am the owner and it's taking their "back office" months to determine that.

At this point the funds are available in the account since they now support the network. I take responsibility for all my mistakes but still Binance is seriously screwed up for:

1. Not raising any flags when a IP from Romania logged in on an unknown device and 2. taking months to do something so simple and 3. not having any transparency about their supposed investigation and providing any type of timeline or eta.

I just want my money back and won't be doing any business with them again that's for sure but who knows if that will ever happen.

I also filed a complaint with BBB and they haven't even responded.

Terrible customer Service takes days…

Terrible customer Service takes days and days to reply and do not fix issues so you can withdraw funds to your bank. The customer service may never respond for weeks. Response is standard and does not help solve the issues.

Binance.US. Customer response time is extremely long and they leave you in the cold and dark with no way to access your funds. Be careful. I’d stay away….

I froze my account today because it the only way to sign out if many devices and browsers, which is a security issues. After making the nightmare of a decision, I am going on 72 hours of zero reply’s or contact from customer support. The user agreement states that after a few hours the freeze will be lifted which is a failure or lie. Now I am reading that further verification may be required which means it might be another week or however long it takes to get a response. They need to hire more agents to take care of the influx of people signing up to trade in their platform. What I can tell you as a seasoned trader and as once in the top 98% of the the original Binances traders, with a trading a volume of over 162 bitcoins in a year is that if you go to kucoin, you won’t have any customer service issues like we are seeing with Binance.US….I will delete this review if my account is completely opened and unrestricted in 24 hours. If not then I’m sorry, but it already deserves to stay, so that’s more than fair in my eyes. Thanks and be careful out there.

Opened an account

Opened an account, the next time I went to log in it was taking through the verification process, sent me code to my phone, entered it and they locked my account. Opened a customer service ticket a week ago and still have not heard back from them. Horrible customer service!

This is going on 2wks, I received a email asking for a specific response which I sent back immediately and still no resolution.
As I did further research I see lots and lots of people having major issues getting what belongs to them.... I’ll be contacting government officials and a attorney ASAP
