Cowboys

Do not use this company as they are cowboys and will screw you out of money. I received a suzuki swift that was the wrong spec and full of scratches. The damage was reported and accepted by bipi. 8 months later I received a replacement car only to open an email charging me for £400 of damage that was on the car when I received it. Bipi said this was due to extra damage what a bunch of cheating scammers. I will be cancelling my subscription as they will scam you whenever they can. Avoid like the plague.

Don’t make mistake of trusting this company!

We were renting car for 10 months in Spain and everything would be great except when I returned the car I arrived accordingly to time scheduled. They were busy with another client and nobody could attend me so they said I could go and they will check the car. I had another appointment so couldn’t wait for them 30 min. I received an email 3 days later that they assessed the car and based on “damages” they will charge us over € 500 from our deposit (€600). The said damages was wear and tear caused by the weather conditions, tiny chips size of a split lentil in 7 different parts of a car. Area we lived was constantly windy and sandy, car was outside at all times. I tried to later check if maybe they made mistake because some damages were with is from the beginning, but when I checked report car already had over 10 different faults marked previously so it was really impossible to tell wether they forgot to mark it for previous driver, cannot believe 7 little scratches , some of them I never seen in my life will cost them 500€!!! Not to add they won’t even fix it and 2 months before I received email the car is not up to their standard so they wanted to exchange it. Should have done that maybe this horrendous ordeal wouldn’t happen. We paid over 700€ a month and they still managed to suck every little euro out of our subscription.
I made mistake of trusting them… Avoid!

Avoid Bipi. The Ebola of the subscription companies.

We were supplied a vehicle that was not road worthy and broke down after 45mins whilst on our way home from collecting it. Although a tow truck was called, we were just abandoned on the side of the motorway, as despite being in the midst of a rescue, their phone lines just closed at 6pm.

A few days later we were supplied with a “replacement” vehicle that was nothing like what we had subscribed to - I know that possibility is stated in their T&C’s, but this vehicle was a star ship enterprise mileage, manual saloon car, that had been in multiple collisions. We had paid for an automatic SUV due to having dogs and kids, and my wife was scared to drive a manual as it was her first time driving abroad.

Two weeks later, having been given zero update on our original car, I popped into the main dealer myself to see if it had been fixed. The main dealer explained there were multiple major issues with the vehicle, it should never have been on the road and that it could take weeks, if not months to fix.

I spoke to Bipi customer service and requested that under the circumstances, could we please be supplied with a different vehicle that was along the lines of our original subscription that we were paying for. They advised they had no other vehicles and we had no way of cancelling the contract without a 2 month penalty fee.

2 weeks further along and the rear bumper on the supplied disaster on wheels finally gave in and started to fall off the car… again I contacted the customer service and was advised to drive it an hour to workshop in Malaga. I explained that the vehicle was highly dangerous to drive and that the bumper could fall off completely at any point, but again was advised I had no other option. The workshop knew nothing about the vehicle… I had to drive it an hour back. A second workshop was arranged the following day but also knew nothing when we arrived and couldn’t help. A third workshop the same story on the third day!!!!

I refused a 4th workshop appointment and demanded a replacement vehicle, but again was told they had no other vehicles and I still couldn’t cancel the subscription without a penalty fee of two months fee. The car was so dangerous at this point, we couldn’t drive it.

They were advertising the same car on their website site as we had subscribed to “with fast delivery” - so I phoned their sales team to enquire how quick they could deliver it… funnily enough it was available and could be delivered in a matter of days.

In the meantime I was charged a second month for the initial vehicle which we had had for a full 45mins in total - rather than whatever heavily discounted fee the “replacement” vehicle should have cost!

The customer service team were always courteous, but the whole situation is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company.

I’m basically currently stuck paying a premium for an SUV whilst looking at an ancient, battered, dangerous heap of…. sat on my drive, that isn’t fit for the road, let alone our needs…

I will be contacting my solicitor.

Horrendous experience

Horrendous experience. BIPI don't value customers, and they don't know how to communicate, either.

There were numerous issues with the cars I rented from them (the first car was full of cigarette smoke which lasted for a month), and every time you return a car they manage to find tiny scratches, for which they bill you a substantial, unreasonable amount.

I had a puncture on a Saturday and was stranded by the roadside. On their website it says support is available from Monday to Friday. When I emailed them they said I should have called the number in the glove compartment, but there was no number, and no previous instruction had been given on that process.

When I emailed them to get the emergency number, someone emailed me back the following Monday and said I had to call in to get that number!

In addition, the windscreen cracked. Bipi arranged an appointment with a glass repair place, but when I took time off work to goto the appointment, the place said that they had contacted Bipi to let them know it couldnt be done there. Bipi hadn't let me know, so I wasted an entire morning.

Avoid this company, they don't care about their customers.

Be careful it's not all Rosey with a subscription car

I am going to try my best to be subjective. I requested a Renault Clio Alpine 24 reg in November 2023, constant delays, fast forward to May 2024 never got the car, got upsold a used Megane 2022 electric at over £200 more per month. I kinda felt forced to take the car as they had nothing else. The Megane has a knocking rear suspension which has been there since the beginning. Renault took a month to arrange an appointment to check it out, they now have told me the soonest they can fix it is on the 12/08/2024. They also charge me £14.99 for a courtesy car which Bipi says they cannot refund. Basically the call centre is useless as they have no power to override anything or offer any discounts. I feel service would be a little better with a UK based call centre as the Bipi one is based in the Philippines I believe. I just want people to not get caught out like me. It just feels like they are after your money. I also had to buy mats for the car as it never came with any.

I started the process with Bipi in May…

I started the process with Bipi in May and dealt with Alvero. Car was originally proposed for 28th June but due to my delays in moving forward by the time I completed the matter the new estimated delivery date was 19th July.

I then got an email beginning of last week to advise that the car was ready earlier than expected and I took delivery today 8th July.

Every member of staff I have dealt with during the process has been nothing but helpful and professional, answering all my queries immediately even on email.

I chased delivery first thing this morning and a very helpful remember of the team checked everything and confirmed everything.

A really lovely gentleman by the name of Keith called me to confirm on schedule with delivery this afternoon and called me on arrival. He was absolutely lovely and so helpful.

Read a lot of bad reviews which made me nervous after putting a deposit down, now so glad I proceeded. A very very good experience from start to finish and the car is lovely. Thank you Bipi wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for this kind of service:

Bipi Warning!

I am worried that Bipi is withholding my deposit despite the fact they have failed six or seven times to deliver my car over a 10-month period.

I paid my deposit in Oct 2023, the deposit is returnable and the car was due to be delivered in Nov 2023, however, it's been delayed, and delayed and delayed and delayed...

I've waited patiently for 10 months and I think this is my sixth or seventh failed delivery date and enough is enough.

For each failed delivery date I have had to book time off work. This equates to over a week of my annual leave being wasted.

I've been absolutely crystal clear with Bipi that I don't mind a delay but I do require a reliable date, I don't mind waiting a few extra months, however, I don't want to be messed around with delivery dates. I have been extremely patient. My job isn't particularly flexible with time off, I need to plan and book annual leave at least two weeks in advance.

I have been assigned a Complaint Manager and contacting them is impossible. I have had to chase and chase Bipi for updates, in the last 10 months they have only ever called me 3 times, each time to upsell me a more expensive car. My Complaint Manager does not return my calls and often I get a message that they are "too busy" to return my call. Terrible customer service.

In March I raised a formal complaint with Bipi and chased (and chased, and chased) for an outcome, which I never received (until I cancelled, see below), I was told they're still investigating why the car was delayed.

I was told two weeks ago my car had finally arrived and they're just doing final checks and it would be ready by July.

My car was due to be delivered on Monday 1st July and I had my annual leave sorted for the day, however, the day before (at 4 pm, why they waited until so late in the day is beyond me) I received an email letting me know the delivery was delayed.

When I questioned this I was informed delivery dates are just an estimate and they cannot guarantee a certain date and it had been pushed back to later in July.

Yesterday I decided enough was enough and I decided to cancel.

Since cancelling my order I have received their response to my complaint and I am convinced they just sat on my complaint and did nothing. Their response, basically says they tried their best.

This is the response from Bipi:

"02/07/2024

Final response re: Vehicle Delay

Details of your complaint

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint on 10/04/2024 regarding issues with your subscription
such as the multiple delays in the delivery of your vehicle, as well as all the concerns and issues
associated with said delay as our provider hasn’t been able to comply with the delivery schedules.

Our investigation:

Our comprehensive investigation into your concerns has concluded, revealing shortcomings across
various departments that regrettably led to confusion on your part. We believe in providing a
professional service and we have tried our best to provide you with a resolution"

So far, I have not received any communication regarding refunding my deposit and have sent two emails and have not yet received a response.

I am concerned they are going to withhold my deposit

AVOID!

Make you go through all the approvals then tell you your chosen car isn't available. Try to upsell you one you don't want as you already wasted so much time. Deliver the car dirty and damaged. Demand you return the car clean then charge you for damage. Avoid.

Poorly Operated - STAY AWAY

My experience with the sales team was very good. They worked around my specific needs and were flexible when I had to spend time in the hospital. However, operations was/is another story. They had to reschedule pick-up twice, the second time we were already there. They were able to give us a different car for a few days until ours was ready but it was not the same quality vehicle. Then, when we returned to swap out the cars, they were closed during our appointment time, and we had to come back 2 hours later. During all these times, the staff was rude and even used insulting slang while talking about us on the phone, not knowing we spoke Spanish. A month later, our car was broken into, and the service department sent me to the wrong location when I was supposed to pick the car up after repairs! I spent 2 hours and 72 euros on taxis only to still be without a vehicle. I wanted to like this company badly, but have been so disappointed.

My car

My car, I ordered beginning of may. I picked a car but said july for delivery. I called and asked for a change so I could get sooner which was so easy and fast and it came a week later, 3 weeks earlier than the original expected delivery date. My car came 15 mins before my time slot and was delivered by a man who drove it up. I am really impressed with my brand new car. I’m very happy 😊 I would recommend Bipi!

The level of customer service I'm…

The level of customer service I'm received is absolutely unacceptable. Before we signed the contract we have been contacted frequently almost a harassed. Since then, barely been any communication.

We signed the contract on 22/03/2024
The estimated timeframe was 4 to 8 weeks that ended on 17/05/2024.

Then I have been advised the car would be delivered on 30/05/2024 to Bipi and after a quick checks this would be available on the week commencing 03/06/2024

in the last 2 weeks I have been contacted their customer helpdesk several times, Bipi customer service advised they updated the delivery date again to 10/05/2024.

A week later than promised. This car is arranged as a work tool for me. And I have been arranged client meeting for next week. This lateness, causes me a lot of headaches, I'm am very frustrated and disappointed. During my calls despite the customer service is semmed helpful We got nowhere. As their complaint officer did not take the time to come back to my emails nor phone calls, I have been promised every time.

My experience was terrible with them. Not recommending at all. We wasted almost 3 months for nothing. What a disappointment.
By their complaint officer we have been denied even the smallest gesture giving a discount or a courtesy car and they where arrogant. I understand we requested a premium car and they sold the contract woithout they having that in stock. Avoid at all cost!!!

A complete waste of time. Refused to accept bank statements despite open banking error.

So I wanted to get the latest Renault Clio on subscription and it seems Renault have partnered with Bipi for their subscription service. After applying I had a length chat with an advisor and was told I needed to connect my bank through open banking. Not a problem at all.

Unfortunately this is where the problems begun. Despite numerous attempts to connect to open banking I kept receiving an error message. Showed this error message to Bipi in which they provided me with a new link. Tried that and still got the same error message. Once again I showed this to Bipi. I was then told that the problem had been resolved. Tried again. Same error. Even spoke to my bank and there was no issue there. Used open banking on an alternative website with no issue. By this point I’m getting quite restless and annoyed as I am currently without a vehicle and wanted a quick resolution. Bipi urged me to try to connect via open banking but just like before I was getting an error message. After having enough of it, I emailed Bipi again and asked if I could just submit my bank statements another way. I was then told this isn’t possible due to the “sensitivity of the information”. This is nothing more than a completely ridiculous excuse. The service you are offering isn’t working correctly and through no fault of their own a customer can’t proceed with their application? What did we all used to do before open banking… that’s right, we would send our bank statements in. So there is no excuse why they accept open banking but don’t let you send in your statements if their is an error on their end. So basically I had to cancel my application through no fault of my own. Open banking has only been a thing for a year or two, so what did they used to do before that? Honestly save your time and effort and go elsewhere. They basically just want access to your bank details and will make any excuse to do so.

Very poor experience , We received a car we are not allowed to drive

We signed a month ago a contract with bipicar for a year (we live in Berlin),
the car arrived without the necessary documents.
We are not even allowed to park it on the street.

So It's over a month already and we still cannot use it. we had many phone calls with bipi car but no results yet, they seem to be clueless and confused, the customer support only know how to sell contracts.

The only result so far is absurdly 600 euros going down from our account for a car we can't use
