I made a stupid mistake — sent USD24 instead of USDT to their payment address. Same network (Arbitrum), same token standard, just the wrong one. Funds landed in their wallet, confirmed on Arbiscan.
First agent (Elaine) was great. She said they'd manually process it as a one-time courtesy and escalated to the payments team. I thought it was handled.
Then a few hours later, Jerry jumped in and reversed everything. Cited Section 5, said funds are "not recoverable." No explanation, no apology, just a copy-paste policy response. Elaine's promise? Never happened apparently.
Here's the thing — the funds are sitting in their own wallet right now. I can see them on-chain. "Not recoverable" isn't a technical statement, it's a choice. And it's not even a consistent one. I found a June 2025 Trustpilot review where someone had the exact same wrong-token issue and got it resolved within hours. Bitrefill's official reply to that review: "Mistakes can happen, and we're here to make things right."
So which is it? Because right now it looks like the outcome depends on which agent picks up your ticket — not on any actual policy.
It's only $20. But if they'll do this to one customer, they'll do it to others. You won't know until it happens to you.

I bought a gift card for 25 EUR and when I redeemed the amount was for only 21 EUR. Messaged support and they sent me a message back but failed to address my issue at all but instead were focused on the premium of 1.55 EUR that I paid above the 25 EUR face value of the gift card. I understand that as it is disclosed at the time of purchase and that wasn't my issue. Theft of 4 EUR without support offering to make it right. Be careful if your gift card isn't right support might just be AI bots that won't help.

I started using Bitrefill after Binance Card was terminated in EU. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning, as crypto card services can be a struggle. Bitrefill has been a great surprise. The services are seamless and easy to use, the UI intuitive and you get everything they declare: cashback and the eSim, for example.

Kudos to their CS anyway. No bot or AI keeping on answering the same stuff. Instead, human staff who gets back to you immediately and, even more important, they know their job. I asked them about a specific transaction I was unsecure about and, with the block explorer, they clarified everything. A special thanks to Renee, Marifel and Bruna.

The cards (Visa) come through but are denied sporadically. Although Bitrefill do respond fast, the responses are useless and palm them off on whatever provider they use to generate the card. Authorize.net declined the card "The provided address does not match the billing address for cardholder. Please verify the address and try again." even though there should be no associated address with it.
