Great service and great products! Top craftmanship

A really great experience. A very knowledgeable team, who took time to explain the different denims and allow me to try different styles.
Once I had made my selection I had them altered to achieve just the right length, they did this twice, on my account, pre and post wash.
I really love my jeans, fabulous quality and flattering.

If you're into denim and in London, you've gotta check out Blackhorse Lane Ateliers for a custom-made denim jacket. Lilly there is a total gem – she's super patient, really listens to what you want, and is all about making it happen. I had this cool idea for shoulder gussets on my last jacket to give my arms more room to move without longer sleeves. Lilly was all over it – made a trial version first and then nailed it on the final jacket.

The coolest part? She even tweaked an older bespoke jacket with the same gusset trick, and it's like I've got a brand new jacket. Seriously, if you're serious about your denim, this is the place to go in London. I can't recommend them enough!

the staff really know their stuff, and are friendly but not pushy. actual product is great too and all things considered fairly priced, especially when you consider you get free repairs, re hemming etc.

The good: friendly staff, made length alterations on the spot so I could take my jeans in 30min

The bad: felt a bit rushed to make a choice, ended up getting a size too big (even before wash/wear). I pointed the length I wanted, once at home it was waaay too long. Came back, re-pinned exactly where I wanted it; once I tried them again they were too long again! They just won’t cut them the way I ask! I don’t even want them cropped, just not bunching at the bottom, easy. I feel the experience was not as personalised as I would’ve hoped, especially for the price.
Had a way better experience a couple years ago.

The quality of my jeans is great, beyond my expectations. Shipping to Australia was very quick too. I also appreciated the thorough sizing and fit information for each style. Brilliant service and product.

I bought BLA's MTM service as a present for my mum as she had always struggled to find jeans that fit correctly. I first went into the shop where Lucy explained to me the process of making the jeans, and how she would aim to make my mum feel comfortable and welcomed. My mum would go to the shop in the morning and select the style and fabric she liked, enjoying being able to try on all the different jeans in the shop to see what worked. Lucy was immensely helpful with suggestions, allowing my mum to note general comments about what she did and didn't like, with Lucy then explaining the reason why it happens and how it could be avoided. My mum was able to try on the jeans multiple times throughout the making process, allowing the jeans to be tailored correctly and making her feel involved throughout the process. Overall, it was a great experience (thank you to Lucy) and the jeans are incredible.

Bought my first pair of Denim last year and loved the fit and quality and that the jeans are 100% made in UK. After returning USA bought another heavier pair for winter and a lighter weight summer pair and very happy. Customer service has always been A1 and the company ethos really resonates with me.

Not only was it nice to support an independent London jeans maker, but the service in the store was excellent.
