This is my second purchase from Blackmoor. Standard gooseberry and redcurrant in 2022, both excellent plants and doing well. As they were so good, I've now received and planted a James Grieve appl... See more

I have ordered twice from Blackmoor Nursery, February and March 2025, 1 grapevine (Lakemont) and 1 peach tree (Avalon Pride). Both arrived beautifully packaged and anchored in their boxes and both are extremely healthy. The grapevine is going gangbusters in my poly tunnel and already has little bunches on it of what will turn into grapes. The peach tree was an extremely good size (4-5ft) with plenty of buds about to emerge. Very very happy with both my orders. Wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again.

I graft apple and pear rootstocks each year. This year I ordered 4 pear rootstocks from Blackmoor. Following their instructions to the letter, two were successful, but the other two were completely dead from the roots upward. That was the first and last time I will order anything from Blackmoor.

I ordered a black raspberry from Blackmore.it was a little more expensive than I expected.
I was super happy when it arrived because I could tell it has been supported in its growth in exactly the right spots.
Plant looks very healthy and more canes on it than I expected so not so worried in the higher than expected price because I know I have got a very decent size plant, which looks very healthy for considering the time of year.
Would definitely use this centre again.delivery was late by only the day and came first thing the next day.
We had had torrential rain here so I appreciate the roads were tricky and the connection slot got missed for carrier.
I'm a happy customer.

I use Blackmoor regularly for plants as well as a few other growers. We have only ever had one complaint with a plant not waking up from Winter and they replaced it without question.
I deal with Jon and I have found him to be extremely accommodating.
In 2022/23 I ordered two apple trees from Blackmoor after reading the testimonies of their satisfied customers.
Delivery was late because we had a warm autumn so the trees we slow in becoming dorment. The apple tree was a Charles Ross B/root. It made it through the winter of 2023 but not the winter of 2023/2024. I have spoken to Ann at Blackmoor to see if I can get a replacement. The answer was no, only 1 year guarantee. Also stated the winter was very wet so perhaps it was waterlogged. Our orchard is in a high location so was never water logged. She has told me there will be no replacement. I paid a premium when purchasing a Blackmoor plant and most disappointed with this outcome. Everything has a life expectancy so I understand a plant can die but I would expect them to stand by their product. Will I but from them again. No.

100% amazing value..ease of ordering...speed of delivery..health of plants...Will definitely order from them again . Thankyou
Visited for the annual apple day a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t sure whether to leave a review or not. The day was great with lots of interesting stalls and apple tasting. We bought 7 bags of apples and pears at £4 a bag based on the ones we’d tasted. Unfortunately the bags aren’t labelled so you don’t know what you’ve got when you get home. We could live with that but what we weren’t prepared for was at least 4-5 in each bag was either rotten or rotted in the middle. The bags were all opened the day after picking to prepare for bottling/freezing/eating. Around 1/3 of the fruit we bought went straight in the compost heap. We’ll revisit next year as the children loved it but won’t be buying and fruit
The three potted fruit bushes arrived quickly and very well packaged, the Blackberry bush already had approximately 15 Fruits
It did take a bit of time to get them in the 60cm × 40cm pots, but that was due to my Disabilities, planted with Rootgrow. Then well watered in. Photos taken so I can compare the growth, in the weeks ahead.
I only came across Blackmoor
Nursery whilst watching You Tube, I would definitely recommend this Nursery.
Will be making more purchases in the future
