During the last fewNew Bike from Blade Swindon months I have been…

During the last few months I have been looking to replace my GSXR 750.
I visited Blade in Swindon after other dealerships and saw the bike I wanted. Was offered a test ride accepted and my expectations were exceeded with a trade in price.
The sales executive was clear, fair concise and very courteous in her technique. The whole deal was a comforting experience and I would recommend this dealership and sales executive with very high standards to others looking for a new motorcycle.
Adrian.

Warning do not deal with this company

Warning: DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY Bought my grandsons Honda CBr500R from a good northern bike supplier. One slight problem was that the ABS warning light stayed on. The seller said take the bike to a local Honda specialist (Blade motorcycles Swindon) simple repair get a cost and we will agree to pay.
Well Blade had the bike for over a week and when chased said needs a replacement sensor cost £380 plus 2 hours labour @£120. I cant repeat what the original seller said as they pointed out the sensor only costs £78 and their labour cost would below £60.
So they agreed to pick the bike up and undertake the repairs themselves. Only to find when collecting the bike was in pieces, and had to wait over an hour to try and collect all the bits. Finally got the bike in for repair took 15 minutes just a sensor bracket out of line!!!! On return we found that Blade had left off both main side panels and the ABS unit cover which we had to retrieve from their work shop two weeks later.
I personally own and operate 3 businesses and have never come across such a shower as Blade Motorcycles Swindon. They clearly have little repair experience, never answer their phones and customer service is none existent. BUYER BEWARE !

Matt made the experience great

Matt made the experience great. He bent over backwards to help me get the bike I wanted in the shortest possible time. I bought my last bike and this one from him and I wish I could get all of them in the future from him!

RIDE IN - PUSH OUT SERVICE - EHH!?

I rode my VFR800 in for 2 new key blades to be coded, the technician deleted the master key coding from the HISS/ECU deeming the bike dead and completely inoperable.

initial reply was they were advised by honda to rebuild the bike and just hand it back broken. no ownership that they completely killed the bike.

after then hanging around for hours a manager agreed to give me a demo bike and advised he'd speak with honda. looking like a repair now in excess of £2000 for ECU and LOCK KIT and they dont sound keen to cover the cost of their mistakes! how do you delete master key coding!? worst experience ever. hopefully they own up and fix it FOC. otherwise i'll have to go through legal routes to recover the value of the bike. AWFUL!!

Service is acceptable however Sales is another matter. Unimpressed with the sales attitude and approach. Reception is NOT sales focused at all. It seems they don’t want to sell motorcycles I have made a number of calls to their sales team and no response. Conclusion: I will go somewhere else.

Avoid Blade Motorcycles

Not sure how Blade Motorcycles managed to get the Google reviews score but can only presume...
I recommend that you use Trustpilot for your reference's.

I purchased a Brand new 16+k bike and after leaving site with my new purchase, taking a cautious (bike not feeling quite right) ride home I discovered; dangerously low tire pressure's and I do mean dangerously (12psi) low, coolant level at its minimum marker, paid for extras missing, tarnished seats, etc.

I am currently waiting on what can only be described as a very minor (filler cap) warranty issue to be resolved. I was asked to fill out forms, taking picture, I even then had to ride it to the dealership for them to assess. After a prolonged wait I had to ask if my bike was ready, only to find out that they has actually put my bike into storage with all the other motorcycles. After more time lost waiting for it to be retrieved, still no new filler cap! all they had to do was put a replacement filler cap on and then worry about the warranty with KTM after!! it would have been done in no time at all but instead, I struggled to make it home on the little fuel I had left and still now 3+ weeks with no resolve!!!

Ever since my purchase, it has been total p@#s poor customer service from Blade Motorcycles and its Employees! I have sent umpteen emails over time with little to no response. The latest (Mr Colin M) being totally without a response. Telephone calls are rarely answered and when they are, a receptionist will try (with what sounds like trepidation) to transfer you through to a department where employees once again rarely answer the phone.

Please note: My warranty claim would be for a new part and would take approx. 15min to fix. Its now been 3 weeks and still no answer or resolve. There is currently no communication from Blade Motorcycles therefore I have no idea when my issue will be rectified, leaving my purchase totally inoperable.

Potential KTM customers please be aware; Blade Motorcycles have informed me that KTM will take about 3 weeks to respond to any warranty claim hence my 15min fix taking over 3 weeks so far!
Please be warned; if you use your Motorcycle to commute or as a necessity, you will be left high and dry for a min 3 weeks by Blade Motorcycles and from what Blade have told me, KTM as well.

As I type I am currently sat waiting on the phone again, trying to get through to the service dept (Ben) that promised to return my call from earlier today but didn't..... After an insistent and prolonged 20mins of hanging on the line, I have now managed to speak to Ben and guess what, he informed me "I will speak with my manager and phone you back straight away"... Cont’d… Its now 5.50pm!! I will now have to try to contact them again tomorrow.

I have never known such poor customer service / communication. As per a previous customer (PA 14th April) review, all I can say is, if only I had read the reviews prior to purchase.

This company and some of its employees has no respect for the customer that, when all said and done are the ones that help keep them employed. Honestly, Blade Motorcycles are a joke and a disgrace. I recommend you purchase elsewhere, even if this means travelling a good distance further regardless of cost and your valuable time.

Blade, I recommend you change your approach to you customers and address you manger and staff.

Didnt fix the issue and bike came back with scuffs and ripped seat

Id give them no stars if i could at Blade Swindon. Gave my bike in for a issue to be sorted. A issue that could have been sorted in a couple of weeks but they kept fobbing me off making up excuses to why it hadent been done. Almost 2 months later i get the bike back and they have done half a job and still have the issue after they said they had fixed it. Im now £200 odd out of pocket and the bike came back with a rip in the seat and big scuffs on the tank tail fairing and clutch lever. Absolutely disgrace. Will never recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a pre-reg Kawasaki W800…

I purchased a pre-reg Kawasaki W800 from Blade in March. Beforehand I had a demo ride. Service from Tom was excellent in the main, nothing was too much trouble. On that ride I found the slow speed steering somewhat odd and suspected low front tyre pressure and rode it back. Tom confirmed this and corrected it; a second ride was much improved. A week or so later I returned after deciding to go ahead a buy the bike. The one I rode was sold but another zero miles pre reg was available and Tom gave me a great deal on it with an extra years warranty to compensate for the fact the bike was registered in March’22. Oddly that was a third party warranty rather than the Kawasaki one available, so be it.

It’s at this point things started to head south. A couple of weeks after taking delivery I received the warranty paperwork from the 3rd party company and to my horror the warranty started immediately rather than consecutively as sold giving me 1 yrs cover from 2 sources, then and Kawasaki. I emailed to the company and they told me only the seller (Blade) to request dates to be changed. I spoke with Tom and he promised to sort it, he didn’t. A few weeks later I spoke with the sales manager, Luke and he did the same but didn’t. He told me he had spoken to them and all was arranged and that I should expect the revised copy soon. After a period I contacted the company directly by phone and he told me that Blade had made no such request! Fortunately he was able to adjust the dates and I was set. One would think I was home and dry but that would be a mistake. This week I took the bike to a Greenham Kawasaki for its first service whereupon I was informed that although the bike was registered with DVLA it had not been registered with Kawasaki meaning I had no warranty whatsoever!! Shocking but true. Thankfully they say they can sort this once I give them the Datatag code which thankfully I did get with the info pack with the bike. Greenham Kawasaki seem a great bunch and I hope they live up to me expectations. Blade Kawasaki have had their agency withdrawn by Kawasaki UK I understand, little wonder.

PS my bike rides like the first demo ride even though the tyre pressures are correct. Makes me wonder what the pressures were on the second ride and was it safe?

PPS I’ve received many texts from Blade asking to review my purchase, calling me Peter, which is not my name persuaded me not to bother. Says it all really.

Visited Blade in Swindon looking for a lighter bike than my VFR800. Paul listened to what I needed and showed me some options as I wasn’t exactly sure what was best suited to my needs. He took the time to understand what it was I was looking for and we found the GSXS1000 which was a perfect comfort fit. He explained the whole process keeping it simple all the way through and communicated collection plans well. Dave was also very helpful answering additional questions about the bike and my mind was made up. The bike had to be mine! Picked it up on Thursday and took it for an amazing twisty spin that evening. I was not disappointed and the GSXS1000 is the perfect bike for me, thanks to Paul and Dave for helping match us up! Great service gents, thank you!

Took my ducati 748r here for a desmo service took over a month to get the bike back only reason I did this is to sell. And missed the deal as it took so long. They broke the fairing clips on ns and os chip under the tank the put the front nose fairing on with out bolting it down. Left a ht lead loose so it had a starting issue and never put the block plug back together under seat for brake light even no they put a mot on it. They won’t take responsibility but are happy to glue the clips back on even be they broke the clip in front of me on day of collection and touch up the tank and a chip on os fairing. Avoid at all costs will be taking further action

Awful service

Awful service, chase chase chase! I should have read these reviews first!
Not replying is just rude and terrible customer service, however the manager appeared to be available when I said I wanted my deposit back and that we will go elsewhere! We won’t be going back unless we need to…….fingers crossed!!!!! Delivery driver (not part of Blade) was 10/10 (Bluehawk)

I want to thank a guy called tony that…

I want to thank a guy called tony that works for blade motorcycles triumph in Swindon - I actually placed an order for a bike at the same shop but the Suzuki dealership but I was asked to put a deposit down before actually getting the quote for finance - hp/ pcp and when it came to looking at the amount I would be paying back I realised I couldn’t afford it so asked for a refund - the guy at Suzuki called Marius was pushy and miss sold me by asking for a deposit before giving me the quotes and told me I could only get the 250.00 deposit back if I was refused finance - I said to him well in that case I shouldn’t have just given you the deposit- he didn’t respond to that .
Anyway I called blade motorcycles and spoke to tony he was really helpful and got the money processed to be refunded within 10 mins of talking too him - so I can vouch for triumph side of the business and how they felt with me so thanks tony

I am the Idiot here. . . For ignoring the bad reviews, take note guys!!…

What can l say about Blade Motorcycles Swindon , in one word diabolical! I read the reviews before I contacted them about a second hand bike on Autotrader and thought they can’t be that bad surely, idiot am l . Got no reply to my request for information on the bike. 2 days later l called finally got a salesman Sam , l wanted a price on my trade in , took 4 days to come back to me. I already had wrote an email to the manager complaining about this no response from sales. Different salesman 1 week in the job no experience with motorcycles . I bought the bike which took 5 days to complete, l wanted the bike delivered had to wait another week before it was delivered to be told l had to pay for my old bike to go back to them after paying for delivery of the new one!! Then had to kick up hell for the V5 number to tax and use the new bike. They were not going to release it until they received and checked the condition of my old bike which could take another week! This after giving me a trade in value going by my photos of the bike! The new bike is great but they took the whole enjoyment out of every part of the buying process. I am 61yrs and have been buying cars and bikes since l was 16 years old and l have never had such a poor customer service experience, no answering calls emails, myself having to push the sales team to sell me a bike!?! No one interested from the person who answers the phones to the sales manager. I ignored the reviews because l had tunnel vision to buy this particular bike when l would have found one somewhere else if l shopped around. Hindsight is a wonderful thing , please take note and have nothing to do with this shower of rockets!!

Blade Triumph Swindon

I am not normally a person that writes reviews, but would like to recognise two members of staff that were very very helpful today. That is Tony in Sales and Shane in the parts department. This is my first visit to this branch and I must say, that the experience and assistance by your members of staff were a credit to your brand and branch.
Tony was very helpful and went out of his way, when asked about top box plate for a tiger.
Shane the Parts Manager, was super helpful in securing the correct parts, in a timely manner, was proffessional and very approachable friendly. My initial contact with him was on the phone, followed by a visit to the dealers. Both experiences were very positive and he did not disappoint. I would highly recommend. Good work guys and thank you.
