Avoid like the plauge
Avoid like the plauge. Inquired about a Honda cb1000r at Swindon. Was told to book a slot for next day to view. Spent 2 hrs sending pictures etc of trade in bike for a price with no response. Then drove 2 hrs the next day to arrive to be told they had sold it. If that was not bad enough then they said they were going to ring me but I was probably on my way so they didn't bother. Drove back home called into on yer bike Aylesbury found they had newer lower milage model same price. Customer experience second to none walked away a happy chappy with new bike.
Avoid this branch for any repairs if you want to ride your motorcycle

Total thieves
Total thieves. After buying a new KTM received a call from George saying they had left over items from a cancelled order I could have at cost “worth over £500” collected the bike and asked for the invoice of the parts. Weirdly all the prices were rubbed over with black pen. Did a google and parts come to £160 charged £380 so… bandits. Beware. I won’t be buying from them again. Thieves.
Excessive service cost, poor service
Cost of first service was excessive, effectively a hidden sales cost, with no credit given for the time and inconvenience I incurred in changing my insurance after I was given the wrong registration number. The one issue with the bike that I asked to be checked at its first service wasn't addressed which isn't a huge surprise as the staff were distracted (or disinterested). Have taken the bike elsewhere to have the issue resolved.
Awful experience
Awful experience. Expected more than a private sale but it’s actually worse to expect more and get less. Takes 20 phone calls to get through. Misled. Lead times and communication way off. Bike not as advertised. Just don’t bother. Go to a main dealer, smaller local company, but private or treat it as if you have bought from an auction and you will be OK.
I picked up my ducati from the service…
I picked up my ducati from the service in Abingdon after 3 weeks and it was supposed to be 3 hours! I delivered them my parts - spark plugs and air filter, but they broke the cable - Ok it happened, but they ordered it from Italy and it is available from UK! They did not give me contact to submit I had an appointment for 3 hours of work and they counted 7 !!!. separately for adjusting the valves and replacing the spark plugs of the filter ato the same activities. How to fight such a company
just a multi bike sales shop and not a dealership and no customer interest
Had my broken down Harley delivered to Oxford Harley to be repaired, serviced and MOt'ed
They were too busy to look at it for weeks, then told me I needed a new battery which I bought, then checked he old one and it just needed charging, still to busy to look at my bike I moved it to a differ net dealership, who fixed it within a week.
Not really a Harley Dealership, more a multi brand sales shop with no interest in any ongoing relationship or service provision, , very poor customer contact and very poor service team. Cost me a lot of extra money and time, will not be returning
Blood from a stone springs to mind
Absolute disaster at point of sale and aftersales when something went wrong. Following discovery of an obvious manufacturing defect costing thousands the dealer tried to fob me off. I ended up paying for an an expert report, which concurred with my original findings. Totally unnecessary as the fault was obviously a manufacturing defect. Blade motorcycles lack the basic ability to care about the customers, and work within the confines of consumer rights. They ignore calls and emails. As I am limited to characters in this review I have typed up a full date stamped review elsewhere. I urge anyone who is considering buying from Blade motorcycles to spare 10 minutes and read my full review as it may save you a heck of lot of time and money in the future. If you google Triumph forum and search for 'Blade motorcycles like blood from a stone' which quotes all correspondence and gives a full factual picture of the abysmal service Blade Motorcycles provides at present. I can also be contacted via that forum. Once you have read that review if you still wish to purchase from this dealer don't say you have not been warned.
Shocking Service - Triumph Swindon Branch
I ordered a part for my Triumph in May and paid close to £700 up front. First they contacted me and told me the part had arrived but when I rang to book the bike in this was wrong they had made a mistake. They then said it would be in by the 24th June - I heard nothing I emailed no response. on the 17th of July I spoke to the sales manager who said someone would ring me back (they didn't) I eventually got hold of the Servicing manager who said the part was in stock so we booked the bike in for fitting and a service on the 20th of August. I had no confirmation of the booking which seemed strange so I rang on the 18th to check the booking - I was sent around the houses cut off once and told they had no booking. After I involved Triumph the servicing manager rang me back saying he wasn't sure what had happened to my booking and they could not do it on that date. At this point I asked for a refund. I have subsequently gone to a Triumph dealer in Oxford and have had a better level of service.
Bad experience - pulled out of deal
If you want a purely sales oriented experience for a bought as seen bike - much like if you went to a private seller - then you'll be fine. If you want any level of customer service then I would look elsewhere. Bad experience from start to finish, firstly with the sales person and then with the sales controller. No communication, reneging on agreed fixes to the bike, asking for money upfront and then not having the bike ready - in the end I got my deposit back.
Bad attitude and price gouging
When a salesman, Sam, rings and leaves you a voice mail stating “I have great news” you may rightly think that the specific bike you enquired about just 2 days before via Autotrader, and then phoned up about, is in stock. So you would think that a 50 mile round trip would be a sensible thing to do.
Unfortunately, I choose to ignore the other negative comments about Blade Honda Swindon. The bike was already sold, but worse an exact same model was for sale but for £3,500 more! Sam’s cavalier and somewhat patronising attitude was a smug “I have good and bad news” and I was wasn’t even offered a coffee.
I would say avoid Blade Honda Swindon but with this attitude and obvious price gouging I’d be surprised if they were still in business next year.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs! Ordered parts 28th June. Got put back twice then 21st august I rang daily for an update. Every day the parts guy wasn’t at his desk and would ring me back. Obviously this never happened and had to claim money back via PayPal. When you do ring they only answer 1 in 5 times if your lucky. Happy to take your money but want nothing to do with your order once they have your cash. Very poor
Unfortunately I'm having to give blade…
Unfortunately I'm having to give blade ducati abingdon a bad review.
They had my ducati 1299 for near 3 weeks with a low rpm fluctuation , stalling fault and hard to restart issue.
They fitted new map sensors and plugs .surge issue still there they spoke with ducati uk and then gave it back to me saying to make it better it needs a dyno map ?.
I've had a 1299 in the past and I know from stock yes they are lumpy but they dont take 5 times to restart when filling up at a petrol station.dont take your ducati in for a engine diagnostic check as they cant do it properly.they do services ok but anything else dont bother. I'm taking it to onyerbike aylesbury to get it properly assessed and fixed as they have more experience with twins. Cost me over 500 quid to get map sensors and plugs done ( which did not fix the fault completely) . Ducati abingdon do not phone you back as tried a number of times befor adding this review ( the guys there are friendly and nice enough but i guess its knowledge with twins is the issue).. Again I'm sorry I have to add this review
nobody answers the phone..
nobody answers the phone... takes weeks instead of days for parts to come and when they do arrive.. blade loosing them
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER…
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER RECEIVED. I wouldn't buy another bike from Blade Swindon if they were giving it away. I bought a year old Tracer 9GT from them which was their ex-demo bike. It was a cash deal so no part exchange and you'd think it would be quite straight forward. The day before I was due to collect the bike I rang to confirm the appointment and was told that the panniers (which are supplied with the bike) weren't with it so they would have to order them in and send them to me. No problem but a good job I didn't have a European tour in the pipeline. I'm guessing if I hadn't of rung they would probably have just told me when I turned up to collect the bike. I then chased the panniers several times and 3 weeks later was told they were now in stock and I would need to book my bike into the workshop to have them fitted and coded to my key. This was a 210 mile round trip and a day off work for me but I was desperate to get the panniers. I booked the earliest slot 8.30am-10.30am hoping it would take less than an hour to do the key barrel and around 30 seconds to fit them on the bike. At midday I was eventually told my bike was ready for collection. When i went to collect my keys I was told that Yamaha hadn't sent the pannier inserts but they would order them in and they would be 1-2 weeks. They would send them out to me AS SOON as they arrived. On my trip home I broke down as the oil pressure switch had registered low oil pressure. This was despite the fact it was supposedly had a full service the day before I collected it. Despite no oil leak it needed another half a litre to get me going again. Fast forward 4 weeks and despite numerous calls, various promises to get someone to ring me back, several ignored emails I managed to speak to Wayne in the parts department who would look into it and ring me back in 10 minutes. He never did. A couple of days later I spoke to Jack in Parts who said they were there and be sent out. They weren't. Another call a couple of days later and they eventually sent them. They arrived today so 7 weeks after collecting the bike it is now complete!
I had two automated emails welcoming me to "The Blade Family" from the Sales Manager and their Head of Business both asking me for my feedback. I replied to both, explaining my issues and frustrations but neither had the decency to even acknowledge me.
I feel I've been treated like a mug by everyone in this company who happily took my money then saw me as a problem because I wanted what I had paid for. For this reason I will tell as many people as possible to avoid this dealership at all costs. They are an absolute shambles from top to bottom. Check out the other reviews on here and you will see that my experience is the same as many other dissatisfied customers. I wish I had checked their reviews before I had the misfortune to buy from them.
Dont like leaving poor feedback but…
Dont like leaving poor feedback but left with no option. Originally bought motorcycle from Blade Honda Abingdon 2020. Had issue with rusting hose clamps 2 months after, never been riden in rain or winter. Was told no point putting in warranty claim as new ones will rust in 2 weeks as they are untreated. Covid meant couldn't follow up until at year at first service and was told claim would be put in. Asked for update in Feb 22 to be told claim turned down. Current service manager uses excuses like "that was the other manager who's not here" or "you've got no proof that we're the civersations". Told me to take it up with Honda uk. They were very good asked me to get Abingdon to do a full inspection report. Rang service manager who did know what that was, took my number and said would ring back. That was over a month ago. Very poor service, quick to take my money no effort to try and resolve issues. Will feedback to honda UK and put in complaint with them.
Buy with confidence and excellent after sales.
Purchased my son’s first Bike from Blade Motorcycle Stratford upon Avon and we could have not received better service. We had never seen the bike as we live in Newcastle upon Tyne and it arrived perfectly as described. We had an issue with the Battery and Richard at Blades sorted this for us straight away. He’s arranging a new battery to be fitted at our local Triumph dealer.
Could not fault the process from sales to after sales. Stratford upon Avon dealership is the best.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, the worst I’ve experienced and I’ve been buying bikes for 30 years. If the bargain of the century was for sale at Blade Motorcycles, I wouldn’t buy it from them.
Avoid !
Absolute terrible from start to finish, ordered a bike 2 months ago, paid deposit and agreed the deal and received an official pdf quote. From that point on it was hard work, they never answer the phone and email responses are hit and miss. Finally got in touch with them and they increased the price of the bike by £900 so I cancelled the order. I then got the same original deal from Kestrel KTM the same day, bike was delivered in 3 days
Dissapointed
Bought my triumph boniville in 2011 from Swindon blade shop. Have had mot and service every year since no problems. However, book this years online. Called to check as hadn’t received text as I normally do. Called shop to be told someone would call back. No one did. After calling again and being told someone will call back in 10/15 mins ( no one did). On third call by me I was then told they could do mot as they have no one to do it. Just as well I called. Thankfully Steve Lynham motorcycles in Kingsdown could fit me in for tomorrow. I will never go back to triumph and I suggest anyone who want mot etc goes to Steve Lynhams much more reliable. Staff at baled used to be top notch but today found them rude and unhelpful.
