I purchased a replacement pair of Bloc…

I purchased a replacement pair of Bloc TIDE Sunglasses in May 2022 following a cracked frame fault, on the previous pair which were purchased less than 18 months before and the replacement has now failed again with the same cracked frame just over 3 years later and out of Warranty.

Having brought this to the attention of Russel at Bloc, his response was

“Whilst we do not like to see a recurring issue it is possible that over time the frames could deteriorate in time and through usage. This can be caused by many things including sweat on the frames, some chemicals in suncream or by pressure being applied to the frames in storage, for example.”

I think it's a very, very poor excuse that frames could deteriorate so easily through the usage one assumed they would be designed for, even with irregular use.

I won’t be purchasing another pair of these glasses at £29.95 to obviously have the same issue at some point in the future.

Great value and high level of customer service

Ordered a pair of glasses online. They simply didn't suit me.
Free returns process using supplied returns label.
Prompt, hassle-free, no quibble refund and quick, polite correspondence from the customer service team.
I've a couple of pairs of Bloc sunglasses already. They represent good value for money and their price tag doesn't reflect how good they actually are.
Highly recommended for product value and level of customer service.

No response after return – sunglasses delivered back over a month ago

My partner bought a pair of BLOC sunglasses at Gatwick Airport in April. Unfortunately, they broke a few days into our holiday. We followed the return instructions on the BLOC website and sent them back to the company’s listed address.

The sunglasses were delivered to BLOC on 8 May (Royal Mail tracking TQ820878911GB) and I have proof of delivery, including a photo of the parcel on their desk.

It’s now been over five weeks and we’ve had no reply, no acknowledgment, and no replacement or refund. For a company selling what should be quality eyewear, this is very poor customer service.

Disappointed – it’s not just about the money, it’s about being ignored entirely

BLOC Daytona XMPRO Coating comes off

Brought a pair of BLOC Daytona XMPRO 60, these are less than 12 months old and already the lens coating has started to fall off.

The lens’s are not scratched, been left on hot sand or anything like that. Just what I would say is normal use, driving and walking. First holiday with them and they got wet in the pool not the sea and coating has come off, very disappointing for price I paid.

Very poorly manufactured sun glasses

Very poorly manufactured sun glasses. Don't buy as can be dangerous. One of the glass lenses fell out within the first few days of purchase. A screw fell out at the same time making the sunglasses completely useless. Very poor customer service when I contacted them.

Sunglasses VERY poor matched only by customer support

Sunglasses purchased from T3 at Heathrow so a genuine product. Worn for one ten day holiday , by the time the next holiday came around the coating on the lens was 50% off on one lens and just starting to peel on the second. VERY poor quality.
Contacted BLOC with images of the glasses and received a very dismissive reply from James who basically said Tough luck but as a gesture of goodwill we'll sell you another pair. No interest in having the faulty pair returned, and a very unfortunate attitude to customer service.
Summary -1 star for service, avoid. Poor quality product with no interest in product support or improvement and the customer support attitude is basically - you want what ? Help ? - NO sorry that's not in the job description. I'm just here to fob you off

Poor Quality Sunglasses - Avoid

I purchased 2 pairs of Bloc Sunglasses onboard a P&O Cruise, both pairs of sunglasses within a couple of months of purchase started getting small cracks for no reason and now 1 pair has completely broke due to the cracks as the lense no longer sits in the frame. The quality of the glasses is poor and can be compared to the glasses you’d typically find on market stalls or from beach venders. Avoid buying Bloc Sunglasses, buy from another brand instead.

Looks like i should have read these Bloc reviews first

Bought a pair of Bloc Phoenix x780 sunglasses 18 months ago used them 6/7 times in that period when base of the frame split ( not a mark scratch or any damage at all to the glasses) I contacted Bloc asking could anything be done !! reply from "James" customer services was NO "send pictures" "out of guarantee" (that's a shortened version) not even a suggestion to other options, advice to possible future buyers. BUY ANY OTHER MAKE BUT BLOC.

Fell apart after a week

Kids glasses fell apart after a week with no obvious cause or trauma. Contacted them to be told that this couldn't/ hadn't happened. Such a shame but not a quality product and god awful service standards.

Poor quality and poor customer service

I purchased some sunglasses which lasted 20 months. As it was over a year since I purchased them, the 1 year the guarantee against manufacturing defects had expired. I would expect sunglasses to last more than 20 months, taking into account the price paid for them. My last pair (from somewhere else) lasted well over 5 years. I will not be purchasing from them again.

I brought a pair of Bloc Beck polarised sunglasses and I love them I can't really fault them, they're comfortable to wear stylish and not to bad for £40, received them within 3 working days and they even threw in a protective case for free which otherwise would of cost me an extra £10, 10/10 from me personally

Poor build quality and bad customer service

I have bought 4 pairs of Bloc Daytona sunglasses over the past 7years (roughly), all have broke within 6 months. The old version use to loose the rubbery parts off the ear bits, which resulted in sore ears, and the little rubber/silicone nose pieces fall of VERY easily. I spoke to their customer service who acknowledge the problem and know about it, but would only send new rubber bits for me to glue back on, so I'd have to buy glue etc. They even tried to blame the shape of my head for it happening! I had to glue them before on a pair, but it just happened again. Poor build quality although they fit well, not worth what I paid ($65 was the cheapest I found). Be wary buying Bloc sunglasses, I won't be again.
