Overall, our experience with Bloor has been positive so far. The sales team have generally been helpful.
However, one area I do feel could be significantly improved is communication around plot progress and completion forecasting during the build itself.
When purchasing a property costing several hundreds of thousands of pounds, particularly off-plan, buyers naturally become very invested in the progress of their future home. Aside from weekly templated stage emails, there has been very little visibility into how the plot is progressing, realistic completion expectations, or any form of interior progress updates/photos.
I completely understand that build schedules can change and developers do not want to overpromise dates. However, even occasional more detailed updates, clearer milestone explanations, or a few internal progress photos throughout the process would make a huge difference to the customer experience and reduce a lot of uncertainty for buyers trying to coordinate sales, mortgages and moving arrangements.
This is intended more as constructive feedback than a complaint, as overall we remain very excited about the purchase and the development itself. We are currently hoping to complete in tandem with our related sale at the end of June, so clearer visibility around build progress and likely timelines would be hugely beneficial for planning purposes.

Customer service did not have any knowledge about which property they had arranged for me to visit. This property had, in fact, already been sold. A complete waste of my time.

Bloor Homes’s customer service was really warm and friendly when I was making enquiries to potentially purchase a new build home. Although I decided not to proceed any further than simply viewing, I can say Lucy P at Evesham Gate was incredibly knowledgeable and professional during my experience. Lucy has set a high bar if I decided to look at any new builds again in the future and Bloor Homes’s appear like a really good house builder.

We cannot thank Bloor Homes enough for making our first home-buying experience so smooth, and we owe a massive thank you to Ms. India Thomas. From day one, India was incredibly professional, reassuring, and genuinely helpful at every single step of the process.
As first-time buyers, the whole system can feel quite overwhelming, but India completely took the stress out of it for us. She went above and beyond when we hit a hurdle with our bank regarding our incentives, stepping in immediately to sort it out and get everything back on track without any delay.
Her communication was fantastic throughout, and she always made us feel like a priority. If you are looking to buy a new build, we highly recommend Bloor Homes—and if you get to work with India, you are in the absolute best hands!

Very informative and relaxing experience. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is good enough at Newport vale at least not too far from high street.

Possibly the worse company I have experienced for customer service.
They will not allow me to make a formal complaint and despite me asking wherein their complaints policy it states this, they do not respond.
They will not provide me with information under the relevant act.
They don’t provide you with answers do your questions.
Certain members in their customer service team talk to you like rubbish.
Avoid this company.

We purchased our new home with Bloor Homes at Hazelton Meadow after selling our previous property, and initially the experience was very positive. The sales team were excellent throughout the process — very helpful, supportive, and they offered us great incentives which made us feel confident about moving forward.
However, the biggest issue has been the constantly changing completion dates. We were first told April, then May, and now June, with dates continuing to move. We understand that some of these delays are mostly due to external factors outside of Bloor Homes’ direct control, particularly utility connections, but as customers this has placed us under significant stress.
Because we sold our home based on the original expected completion timeline, we have been struggling to secure temporary accommodation, which has caused considerable financial loss and uncertainty for our family. To make matters more difficult, the price of similar plots has recently been reduced, which has added to our frustration as one of the main reasons we chose this particular plot was the expectation of moving straight in after our sale completed.
While Bloor Homes have communicated updates and assured us they are prioritising our property, it has also been made clear that they will not accept responsibility for any financial losses incurred due to the delays. We feel that, given the circumstances, some level of support or goodwill towards affected customers would have been fair.
Although we are currently disappointed with the overall situation, we do appreciate the communication from the sales team and management, and we remain hopeful that things will improve from here. We look forward to finally moving into our new home and hope to become happy long-term customers once the process is completed.

Such a warm and friendly sales office. Kate and Vanessa have helped my Dad through every step of the way buying his bungalow at Priors Meadow, I’ve got nothing negative to say !

When we first visited the show home, we fell in love with the house and bungalow being offered for sale. That's when we first met Kate. Such a lovely friendly representative for Bloor Homes. Nothing was too much trouble answering any questions we had, and always with a smile. Shortly afterwards, we met Vanessa, who took us round to look at other potential bungalows and houses. She also was very friendly and offered us information that eventually we were able to make an informed decision as to which bungalow/house would suit our needs and price-range.That friendliness and helpful attitude continued right up until the day that we bought our brand new bungalow We had a house each to sell, which delayed the process by a few months, but we had put a reservation on the bungalow we ultimately decided to buy. Their patience and understanding meant was unexpected, as we had looked at a few other properties before deciding that we wanted to stay around the area that is familiar to us. We were very impressed with the workmanship of every aspect of the build. For a bungalow, it is lovely and spacious and the garden is the full length of the bungalow. This is great because a couple of weeks ago, we bought a little puppy and now she has lots of room to safely run around. As the whole garden is enclosed, there's no danger of her escaping and coming to any harm. The 9 solar panels were a nice surprise for us because this means that eventually our fuel bills will help towards cutting down the amount we pay in our heating bills. The only downside, was that our fridge-freezer wasn't working from the moment we moved in. We were given a brand new one after a week, but it sat in the corner of our kitchen for a further 5 weeks, before it was uplifted! So not everything was perfect and we're still waiting for the White goods Installation to honour their agreement to come and look at providing us with a new right handed door front, as I have a disability which makes it difficult for me to open the door from the left and reach inside the fridge to take food out from the fridge, especially, the vegetable compartments, where they are so deep that I'm unable to reach into unless I stand on some steps. Having had chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was a teenager and am now retired, this is not user friendly for me. However, apart from this one remaining dissatisfaction, we have settled in and really like it here. Thank you, dear Kate and Vanessa, and a mention of Ellie here too, for helping us on our journey to our forever home! ❤️

Aaron and Hayley helped me find my perfect home. They were helpful, friendly and always made an effort to let me know what was available at Seabrook Orchards. The design of the house is brilliant, the best I have seen that fits my requirement. They are both an asset to the company

The sales staff at Dawlish View were so friendly and supportive. They were amazing throughout the purchase of our home.
Our Bloor home is beautiful, and built by such prestigious builders.
I love the fact that there are so many different styles of homes on the estate and that they are not built on top of each other.
Dawlish view is and will be a beautiful estate with those extra touches from Bloors.
I would highly recommend taking a look at Bloor homes especially on Dawlish view and speaking to the amazing sales staff.

We recently visited both Fitchett and Bloor in Treledan, Saltash, and dealt with Megan at the Fitchett site. I have to say, both my wife and I agreed that she really was an outstanding representative to deal with. Informative, super-helpful, didn't feel pressured - just a genuinely positive experience. I don't know yet if timescales/availability/prices etc will end up in us purchasing a home, but if it did then it would be in a large part due to Megan - she really is a super ambassador for the brand!

We reserved a £540,000 family home from Bloor Homes Shottery View and, whilst we were pleased with the build quality itself and found the site/build team professional and helpful overall, our experience with the sales team made what should have been an exciting time incredibly stressful.
Early on in the process, our original buyer for our property sale pulled out and we raised concerns about continuing with the purchase because we were worried about the risks and delays that can come with a chain, having signed reservation agreements, paid a £500 fee and having heard stories about new build companies. We tried to withdraw from the reservation at that stage to avoid issues further down the line, as we had already been disappointed with the customer service from the sales team at this time and had lost confidence in buying this property. We were reassured by senior members of the sales team that delays within chains were common, that these situations happened regularly, and that we should not worry provided delays were not caused by us.
Unfortunately, the exact problems we had originally predicted then happened.
Despite doing everything possible to progress matters quickly - constantly chasing estate agents and solicitors and providing feedback - we were soon threatened with our reservation being withdrawn. The situation appeared to be driven largely by pressure to complete within the developer’s financial year - we were told by several members of the team that this is why they were putting so much pressure on us which felt incredibly unprofessional, particularly given that they wouldn’t have been able to find another buyer to complete in that time regardless.
The way this was communicated felt incredibly pressurising and unnecessary, particularly as I was heavily pregnant at the time and had repeatedly explained how stressful the uncertainty already was. Rather than feeling supported as committed buyers, we were made to feel like a problem. The communication from the sales team lacked empathy and professionalism and, at times, we felt spoken to very poorly.
To make matters worse, we lost our £500 reservation fee despite having previously offered to withdraw from the purchase earlier in the process to prevent exactly these kinds of issues. We had also already paid for extensive snagging inspections to be carried out in preparation for the move.
It is a real shame because the actual house quality and wider site team deserved much better representation. Unfortunately, the sales experience overshadowed what should have been a very positive milestone.
Recently reserved a plot at Forest View, Totton. Since reserving the service has been top class. Both Alby and Sophie have bent over backwards to help me especially given the fact that I am not from the local area. This has been a welcomed experience and I look forward to moving in next month.

We have recently moved to Poppy Fields and are delighted with our new home in this aesthetically pleasing development.
Everyone we delt with during the purchase and since moving in has been brilliant at their jobs and the inevitable minor issues have been resolved efficiently with no fuss.
We had the most interaction with Sam (sales) and Joe (site management) and they were both amazing - incredibly easy to deal with whilst remaining professional at all times.
We would definitely recommend Bloor to our friends and family.

I popped into few days ago as my job is looking to relocate me. I didn’t have an appointment, but the two staff, Sammy and Ellie were very helpful in explaining what the site had in the way of properties and what the general area had to offer. I didn’t know much about the Bloor product, but I was impressed with their knowledge and if I get relocated, I will be back.
