Don’t make the mistake of signing up with Bluegreen. After years of being a loyal customer, I reached out to discuss exiting my membership. Their "solution" was to demand thousands of dollars just to... See more

Bluegreen is absolutely the worse
Bluegreen is absolutely the worse, stay away , the fees are astronomical, they have doubled in a short amount of time , but nothing has changed at the resorts, so RUN !!
Scam
Of my life, I was charged $200 for three days for vacation and could not get anything lined up ultimately end up having to pay more money hidden charges could never get any response back any definite answers in this guy Hector who was a sales agent just kept giving me the runaround over and over and over each day, saying he was gonna call me. He was gonna call me, but never did. I asked for my money back and they said we’re sorry it’s been over a month no refund thanks Bass pro shop for suckering me in
Promises of Help, Then Silence
We’ve been owners with Bluegreen Vacations, and what we’ve experienced lately has been exhausting. We were told a call would come from a specific representative, but that call never happened. Waiting, following up, and repeating ourselves only added to the frustration.
Instead of addressing what we clearly asked for, which was cancellation and a refund, we received a long response saying they tried to reach us on several dates, pointed us back to contract language, and suggested a title transfer. The message ended by saying this may be their final response if an appointment isn’t scheduled. That felt less like help and more like a door being closed.
We didn’t enter this lightly. We believed this would be a meaningful way for our family to travel. Instead, the costs kept rising, booking became difficult, and the stress outweighed any benefit. Our circumstances have changed, and this ownership no longer fits our lives.
What’s most disappointing is not just the financial burden, but the lack of follow-through and accountability. Being told help is available while promised calls never come leaves us feeling dismissed after years of investment. We’re sharing this so others understand what it’s like when you try to leave and are met with delays and deflection instead of real solutions.
Bluegreen took advantage of my disabled veteran husband who suffers from PTSD
Bluegreen timeshare agents took advantage of my disabled veteran husband who suffers from PTSD. During the sales pitch their agents focused in on him because he showed some interest, even though I told them no, we can't afford it. Instead of respecting my wishes and boundaries the agents continued to push my husband and due to his PTSD I did not want to trigger him. This one hour presentation turned into what seemed like a six hour police interrogation you see on a TV show by the agents who would not let things go. My husband served in the Airforce during the Vietnam War. He is considered 100% disabled due to PTSD, and the confrontational nature of the sales pitch and the agents trying to pit me against my husband made me fear that there would be an argument or a confrontation.
After we were stuck in this predatory contract I tried to make the best and looked into the details for booking vacations and it seemed like there was not much we could do with this contract that was costing us over $3200 per year. The agents told us our points could be used for a two day vacation and that we could bring guests with us, get discounted flight prices and also offered a free cruise. But when I tried to book a vacation I could not successfully book any dates.
We have paid Bluegreen close to $7000 on a timeshare that we never wanted and have never used. It has become nearly impossible for my husband to travel due to his disability. Due to financial issues and loss of work we do not have the resources to make these payments for something we never wanted.
Bluegreen has ignored my requests to resolve this matter, telling me to call the legal department and Veronica Ladd Hoffman or Javier Nunez but no one ever answers or calls back. Now they are telling me they can help but just send me to collections who tries to transfer me to Pinnacle a company that we could pay to try to sell our timeshare, which has no value.
These people are vultures!! They prey on the elderly, the disabled, the veterans. AVOID BLUEGREEN THEY LIE!!
I got suckered into a $199 3 ngt stay but was wow’ed
I got suckered into a $199 3 ngt stay. I chose the Fountains in Orlando. I upgraded to the resort and added an extra night (approx $1000 cnd). The room was very nice with a fully stocked kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living and dining area that sat six. There was also a screened porch, ice maker in fridge, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The interior was very recent but the exterior was dated. Water pressure was just OK and no full size mirror. The rest was super including VERY comfy beds. I had to attend a two-hour marketing session which was in no way high pressure as many others seem to state. The saleslady was trying to figure what would work best for me, however, once I told her that I had a bad experience with Hilton a few years ago, they promptly excused me from the session and had me write down what had happened. I received a $100 prepaid MC which I fully used as well as 30,000 points which are now on my account. The service was phenomenal at the resort as well. Check in was easy and there was plenty of free parking. Location was also bang on being 10-15 mins away from everything!!! I would book again at this resort with no issues at all.
Broken Deal
Scheduled a trip just for them to back out of the deal the day of the trip which raised my cost for my hotel by triple.
More of a burden than a benefit
I feel like my family was completely taken advantage of by Bluegreen. We were drawn in by a free trip, but the actual sales meeting with Paul Daniels and other representatives was stressful and lasted far too long. We were told this would be a great investment, but we haven't even been able to use it once.
Between the COVID-19 pandemic and serious family health issues this timeshare has become a major burden. We are now facing financial struggles and need security for our growing family, yet we’re stuck paying for something that provides zero value. It has honestly been a total waste of time and money.
Be careful when meeting with anyone from Bluegreen. They have silver tongues and not great intentions.
Predatory marketing practices; OUTRIGHT LIES
I bought a BlueGreen vacation through Bass Pro Shops about a month ago. It was one of those discounted packages intended to sell you a timeshare. At the time, I was 23. The agent took down my birthday, so she was aware of how old I am. A couple weeks later, I go online to book and learn that you must be 25 to book the trip and take advantage of the offer. I had to waste time on the phone getting a refund, and the time spent planning before I booked also went down the drain.
I ended up getting a refund from BlueGreen vacations, but this type of predatory marketing is unacceptable. The salespeople did not care who was signing up or if they were even eligible, it was all about hitting the quota. I do not want to deal with any company that engages in these types of business practices, and I encourage others not to, too.
To make matters worse, the parent company had the audacity to call me later that day asking why I canceled, and asking if I wanted to book another one through a different company. NO THANK YOU, I’ve already been burner once.
Have not even made it to the…
Have not even made it to the presentation and already disgusted. My wife is unable to attend and they offer NO exceptions. Apparently not even interested enough to sell me a time share unless my wife is wheeled in a hospital bed to attend with me.
Still waiting, no clear answers
I spoke with Omari from Bluegreen right before leaving town for the holidays, and once again I was told the same thing I’ve heard before. I made it clear we are not paying maintenance fees or an exit fee. He said our account is suspended and that we’ll eventually receive letters that will lead to cancellation, but the timeline is completely unknown. It could be months, years, no one can say.
This has been the pattern for years. I’ve called countless times and usually get the same recycled options that don’t work for us. Promises of follow-up, including one involving their legal team, never happen. We’ve owned this timeshare for over 17 years and barely used it. No one in our family wants it, and we’re tired of paying for something that brings no value. We’re not trying to resell or be sold another “solution.” We just want to give it back and move on. After all this time, the lack of clarity and real options is beyond frustrating.
SCAM!!!
Its an absolute scam just like all of the horror stories you hear about not being able to get out of timeshares. The salesman lied to my wife and i and said we wouldnt end up in this situation because they "do things differently than other timeshares." We were told they would get first dibs on selling the timeshare if we wanted to sell and he also said that they sell off quickly....come to find out, we have to either pay 2500$ or list it on their website which has 1,000s of others for sale already (of the same package we had). They are pieces of trash for doing this, as we were very diligent in our questions regarding this scenario before purchasing. The 3 locations we have gone to have also been poorly maintained and were shown as secluded areas with personal space....we get to the resorts and our rental is rammed right between other rentals. Absolute joke of a company and i regret ever signing up for it!
Made a reservation thru BG vacations…
Made a reservation thru BG vacations only to fly to my destination and to learn they had cancelled my reservation. I had to book a room which cost me more than $700 than I had budgeted. They said they emailed me my cancellation. What? If you are going to cancel someone’s reservation you need to call or text them. Buyer beware!!! I will never do business with them again. Unbelievable!!!
If I could give negative stars I would
If I could give negative stars I would. This timeshare has been the worst experience ever! I tried canceling a couple days after I signed up and they said I couldn't because I didn't send a letter or an email(can't cancel over the phone). Since then the maintenance fees have increased every year(I was promised they stay the same($700). I have tried calling customer service and they just pass you around and nobody helps. Phone numbers keep changing or are no longer in service. This company is an absolute joke and a scam. Im over $23,000 down and haven't used a single bit of it. The points you get aren't even enough to get a decent vacation if you could use it. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS TRASH!!
STAY CLEAR OF THIS SCAM!!!
I would give this 0 stars if possible. When something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. We booked a weekend at Shenandoah Valley Resort in Virginia. Upon arrival, the resort staff was friendly (maybe they earned the 1-star for everyone). However, the cabin we upgraded to had wasps (we killed 5 within walking in), the wifi was only available in some common areas and the hot tub and pool were under construction for an 'undetermined amount of time'. Beyond disappointing. Even though, they finally offered to move us to another out dated cabin. We asked to just cancel due to unavailable amenities (that were advertised), and the appearance of the cabins; We knew we wouldn't be 'purchasing' a timeshare by this point so lets all just cut our losses. NOPE! They charged us a cancelation fee!!! All they had to do was use some customer service, not keep adding fees and I would have gone quietly into the night, but here we are. Spend your money somewhere else.
NOT WORTH IT !!
I purchased a Bluegreen timeshare in October 2025, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. I am seeking to cancel the contract and request a full refund because the sales presentation did not accurately reflect the reality of the ownership, and I feel there was a lack of transparency from their representatives. I would like to highlight a few specific concerns:
I was led to believe that my 10,000 points would comfortably cover at least two weeks of vacation, which is proven not to be the case.
I was promised a bonus of 10,000 points upon signing up. However, during a follow up meeting in Nashville to discuss how to utilize them, I was unexpectedly asked for an additional $25,000 to receive the points that I understood we’re already included.
I have also received inconsistent information from two different representatives (“Jaesha” even called to state that “Raquel was wrong”) this gives me the impression that representative may be willing to say anything to keep me in the contract.
Overall, I feel this purchase does not offer the value that was presented, and it has not met my expectations. As a result, I have stopped the mortgage payments, and I am not willing to invest any more money into something that was misrepresented to me.
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with Bluegreen Corporation started when we were lured in by a 'free' vacation offer at a local mall, only to be subjected to intense pressure from multiple sales reps who promised 'guaranteed availability' during peak seasons and exclusive benefits. Absolutely none of those claims have proven true. Since purchasing, it's been an intolerable situation. The booking process is frustrating, and availability during peak times is extremely limited, forcing us to constantly adjust our plans. Add to that the significant financial strain from the high costs and annual fees. The most maddening part is the complete and utter lack of customer service. We have spent months attempting to get a response or even just our contract documents, all to no avail. We’ve called their representative, Xavier, multiple times, and he has never returned a single call. We feel completely taken advantage of and have been forced to file complaints over and over again and no one actually helps us. Be careful of Bluegreen.
Deeply Regrettable Purchase With Bluegreen Vacations
Terrible Experience – 1.5 Years Wasted and NO Solution!
Bluegreen Vacations is an absolute disaster to deal with, especially if you are trying to exit your timeshare. We have been going back and forth with them for over a year and a half, trying to cancel our ownership. All that time and effort, only to be told we have to either sell it ourselves or buy out of the contract. After paying off our mortgage with them, and now dealing with some recent health issues, neither of those is a realistic option!
A representative had the audacity to tell us we're in default and just need to "wait for Bluegreen/Hilton to write it off." They couldn't even give us an estimated timeline! Waiting indefinitely for a non-solution is not an acceptable way to treat customers who have paid thousands of dollars.
They make a simple process into an impossible, drawn-out task designed to wear you down. Save yourself the stress and the financial headache—avoid Bluegreen Vacations at all costs! They clearly have no interest in helping their owners.
No Help, No Options, No Accountability!
After my most recent call with Bluegreen, it’s clear they have no interest in helping once you’re locked in. I was told that unless I could provide proof of manipulation or outright lies, they would do nothing. The only option given was to continue paying. I was also warned that if I kept reaching out, they might stop responding altogether.
This entire experience has been frustrating from start to finish. We were pressured into multiple expensive upgrades with promises of better benefits, easier booking, and access to more destinations. None of that turned out to be true. The points don’t work as explained, fees continue to rise, and any reasonable exit options were quietly removed.
Despite spending a significant amount of money, using the timeshare is difficult, resale is ineffective, and defaulting would damage credit. Customer service has been dismissive and uncooperative throughout.
All we are looking for is a fair, good-faith way to exit and move on, but Bluegreen offers no real solutions and takes no responsibility. This has been an extremely stressful and disappointing experience.
We tried to cancel when we were able and they wouldn't allow it.
We purchased a timeshare from Bluegreen in April 2025 after a sales presentation that promised an easy and affordable vacation experience. The reality was very different: limited availability, rising fees, and misleading information. Key details were withheld, benefits were exaggerated, and we were pressured into a quick decision. Hence why I tried to cancel immediately after I returned home. They would not allow it 3 days late of the rescission period. Customer service has provided scripted responses with no solutions. This purchase does not match what was promised, and we feel misled from the start.
Bluegreen IS A SCAM
This resort was the biggest scam in the world!!!!The sales person juan pressed me in front of my wife asking me things like “you can’t afford this for her??” before we even left town I called him directly to cancel this. Juan told me to wait 15 days for it to be in the system first. They trapped me in a contract wanting me to pay them over $36,000!! i tried fighting it myself and they sent me collections and destroyed my credit, i had to get a company involved ( lemon lion consulting) just to help me get rid of this. DO NOT FALLL FOR THE FREE TRIP TO HAWAII ITS A SCAM !!!!!
