BLUE SEA LOS FISCOS LANZAROTE

BLUE SEA LOS FISCOS LANZAROTE. AVOID.

My friends and I booked a cheap and cheerful 5 nights in Lanzarote so did not go with high expectations of the hotel but the traumatic experience we had was unbelievable and the staff were absolutely awful.

On our second last night we were burgled, someone came into our room while we were sleeping and took my bag containing my money and passport. They also grabbed my purse from a smaller bag left on the couch while I was sleeping on the pull out sofa bed so had to reach over me to get it.

The next morning I was sitting outside the room and someone asked if I’d lost an iPad and bank card, of course I knew it was mine straight away but couldn’t understand how this person had found it on the ground outside. I realised very quickly someone had been in our room and noticed my bag was gone. I ran around checking inside bins, checking the surrounding area and went to reception having a panic attack to report the burglary. The male receptionist didn’t seem overly concerned and told me I’d need to report it to the police, I asked him to phone me a taxi and off I went. After giving the police a report of what happened at the station they came back to the hotel to take photos and a member of staff accompanied them looking very angry and didn’t even look at me nevermind apologise or ask if we were ok. The lack of concern or empathy was astounding. Clearly they are used to this happening. At the very minimum I would’ve expected to be asked if we were ok!

That night we barricaded ourselves in our room terrified of it happening again and wondering if it could have been a staff member, there is no way a random person would have seen my bag in the dark, it’s as if they knew where it was before entering.

The following day while checking out I was greeted by the same male receptionist I’d dealt with the day before who asked me if I’d enjoyed my stay, I nearly chocked, how can you not remember a distraught guest who only the previous morning was crying telling you they’d been burgled? I said obviously not, my passport was stolen and I can’t get home. I asked for a taxi to be phoned and he asked if I was going to the airport!! THE AIRPORT! Are you kidding?!

My 5 night cheap and cheerful holiday turned into a 10 night nightmare! If only I’d booked the second hotel I went to in the first place, we would’ve been much better off.

The food is disgusting, the meat is grey and floating in an unknown liquid, the pasta is mush, the veg is soggy and tasteless. The drinks are so watered down, if they actually contain any alcohol at all, and given to you in dirty plastic cups. There is no air con, cleaners only come every second day and provide dirty towels. The lifeguard sleeps on duty. The bar staff are sleazy. Sun beds are broken and dirty. Flies everywhere in the room, and before you respond with “there’s flies in every hotel” I can assure you there are not. The second hotel I booked while waiting on my emergency passport had ZERO flies.

So if you’re thinking of booking here for a cheap and cheerful getaway, DON’T.

We very much regret the experience that you have narrated. We do not know how it could have happened, as we have a night guard. Concerning your assumption that it might have been a staff member, we are decent professional workers and we do not devote ourselves to burgling rooms. No, we are not used to having this kind of incidents, we are just informed of the procedure to follow. We understand this disrupted the enjoyment of your holiday, but we hope that you will also remember the good moments on the island.

Regarding your comments about our food, many customers are pleased with our food because we prepare it with care, but we are sorry to know that it did not fulfil your expectations. We try to cater for all palates, as we receive customers of different nationalities and cultures, and every person has particular likings, therefore we might have not satisfied all palates.

We thank you for your review and for having chosen us for your stay in Lanzarote.

Best regards.

Bluesea Arenal tower adults only - worst hotel ever!

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The fact that the say, that the have all inclusive is a lie. You could only get dry sandwiches and some leftovers from the breakfast, as snacks! Normally in all inclusive it is possible to get Ice cream, Chips and other Nice things. The hotel staff in unpolite and don’t care about the guest, if you have questions or want to say that something isn’t right!

The also just say that it is the law, but i believe that there is a law in Mallorca about restrictions of alcohol - not about a good all inclusive, and I don’t believe that any law would say that the only thing allowed in an all inclusive is dry sandwichs and leftovers from the breakfast!

Also in the restaurant we saw on evening that one of the chefs took some food from a wrong tray and put it over in the “correct” one which is very unhygenic! Also there was no soap in the rooms and the housekeeping was almost non existent - there was weird stains on the shelf in the bathroom and on the desk in close to the bed..

When trying to talk to the staff the say that they can’t do anything, so don’t book a room here! When trying to tell about the experience after they indicated that our view was a lie

Costa Bastian Let down!

Stayed in Costa Bastian at the blue sea…all inclusive for a relaxing winter get away or so we thought!

Room - severely outdated, mattress worse than sleeping on the floor and separate beds not a double. Bugs/creepy crawlies in our room and fixtures and fittings physically falling off of the walls.

Hotel Food, beside a semi-decent breakfast offering the food is poor at best for a claimed 4*. Service has only 2 hot options to choose from each sittting. Beef burgers, orange juice and other easy to deliver staples are the worst we’ve encountered. Must try harder and focus on quality!

All inclusive includes paying a cash only deposit for your own small plastic cup with the mixers overly gassey and giving genuine stomach bloat.

House keeping is every second day to our surprise and after the first visit we questioned the care and attention and deliberately left a dirty side table, unsurprisingly it wasn’t wiped. Towels changed and same bed linen made but no effort at cleaning. No wonder our room had an infestation of bugs!

Value Holiday

We were originally booked for blue sea callo but around a month before travel our hotel was cancelled and moved to blue sea Lagos de Cesar.
Our room was spacious, view wasn't great from the balcony as it was basically facing a dirt hill. However I'm sure if you pay more the sea facing balcony would be lovely. Hotel was clean, and as we visited Nov/Dec COVID rules for masks and sanitation was in place.
The staff were very friendly and really couldn't fault them.
We went all inclusive Food was quite bland and repetitive (would of been nice to have some actual flavour) but plenty of drinks choices including cocktails.
Beach was a short walk away and bus stops were virtually on the doorstep.
If I was to pay the same price I did for the holiday I would definitely go back here. Worth it and can always eat at the other restaurants nearby.

We went to Blue Sea Bastian in Costa…

We went to Blue Sea Bastian in Costa Teguise on 7/10/20 and what a waste of time worse holiday ever food was disgusting we had to eat out every day and we were all inclusive we went at the same time as friends and they had the same problem I wish I could put the photo of the sausage they gave us it wasn't even cooked we mentioned it to the staff and they didn't care at all the staff were not helpful at all you only had 45mins to get your food and drink and eat it we are elderly and are quite slow walking so by the time we got to the table a lot of time was spent. The alcohol was so weak you had to get two drinks at a time otherwise it was like drinking water. If you get the safe or should I say hire the safe if you are not injured if your belongings are taken you are not insured which is disgusting you also have to hire the kettle. All the music was Spanish which we could not understand it should have been a mixture. We are pensioners and we save all year for our holiday but this year we could not wait to get back home I packed 2 days before we were leaving we really could not wait to get out of there oh and the TV always went off at 5.Oclock that is the English Channels Its not even worth 1 star.

I have emailed this hotel 3 times and also sent a query in their website after booking with them then having a query over seeing a newspaper article about this hotel being used for people to self isolate who have got off planes with symptoms. I haven't had a single reply, therefore I am cancelling my stay. Very bad customer service, clearly don't care about what customers think so I will not be giving them my money. Plus the review since the lockdown has eased have been shocking

Honestly the WORST Holiday EVER!!

Honestly the worst Holiday EVER!!! And the chain didn't care. Only giving this one star so I can write a review.
Stayed at the Bluesea Costa Jardin and "SPA"in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife 🤬 absolute disgrace. To start off with we turned up in the town which has 4 of this chain. Our hotel was closed no notification, so were dropped off at another Bluesea to be cattle fodded into a taxi with cases to go to the hell hole. On arrival the rude receptionist "blonde" late 40s/50 checked us in. Wow rude is being kind. We had booked into a superior room but were squashed into some cupboard of a room. We complained and told "no other rooms". Eventually a toom turned up🤷‍♀️ go figure that one. She even kept saying she had messed up when we turned up. The other 2 ladies one young girl very rude, and another lady who acted like a total control freak, rude person walking round with nose in air!!! ONE nice man on reception. Others don't deserve a job. Nothing on arrival for late check ins. So we had 15 mins in the dining hall. Food is leftovers with minimal selection and disgusting, not just on arrival but same old slop each day. If your vegetarian I hope you like salad and boiled eggs!!! More a 1 star hotel or 2 at a push for standards, service and cleanliness. Sheets changed once over a two week stay. No lie. Never stayed at an all inclusive hotel where you have to pay €1 for a token which you swap plastic cup "eco cup" to be given 1 drink in a small cup. Spa hotels give decent size proper drinks in proper cups and glasses not in some kids sippy cup. You had to queue with 1 bar in whole hotel. Having to queue for 20-30 mins with on some days one poor member of staff serving. Never mind covid with 30-40 plus people queuing up inside at the bar to be served. Yes we had masks on but it was very chlostaphobic in stuffy heat inside queuing for most of your holiday. Poolside snacks were minimal and not much variation or choice, either ham and cheese sandwich for meat eaters on white bread, or coleslaw for veggie on white 😣Literally queued from bar to stairs on other side of room (I have photos) Only people benefiting were hotel due to costs. Queue all day minimal drinks in hot enclosed space inside. Saved them labour costs and product costs of not having to give many unworthy low quality local branded alcoholic swill in plastic sippy cups👏👏👏 only way around this is to buy 10 extra sippy cups and bulk order at bar. Now then you were also locked inside each morning waiting for pool guy to open door to pool at 10 am, gross health & safety if there was a fire. Ok no life guard till 10 am but surely that's at your own risk. One life guard went off for an hour one day leaving old pool man in his chair to life guard, probably untrained too. Speaking of the pool, you were not allowed balls or any floating lilos and the lije in it. 1 slide and only ball was playing the daily water polo with the entertainment lot. That we all had to tolerate or just go stand in the pool. Pool towels you hire at €10 per towel, if you want it cleaned you hand it back and pay €1 for privaledge, ok you got this back but hardly 4* spa treatment, speaking if spa this was not even advertised like they didn't want the foreign muck clientele to use their facilities. Hotel were very friendly if you were Spanish but hated and treated all foreigners like dirt on your shoe. So many many many faults at this what can only be described as a real life Faulty Towers with real life Manuel's running around blaming everything on COVID and no manager to be seen. Shameful!!!! Absolute disgrace. Please folks if you want a decent holiday stay at a Riu hotel for true 4/5 star service, value and quality. I will continue to slate this chain in any blog I do and any other opinion site possible. Instagrammed their complaints whilst away. They did not care tbh. Also Love Holidays are truly disgusting there is no love. Steer clear of them and Bluesea resorts. Only positive were the 3/4 entertainment staff for kids and did a few pool activities or mini golf etc things with them. Entertainment otherwise due to COVID was non existant. Hard working bar staff especially one lady who held the fort. Utter shambles. You are a disgrace to tourism and hospitality. 😣😣😣😣😣

Currently staying at Bluesea des cases…

Currently staying at Bluesea des cases d'or and having a GREAT holiday!
Very easy booking on the website and flexibele cancelling due tot Corona.
We are however very happy that we went on holiday! Spacious room, terrace next to the swimming pool, we van enjoy all facilities of club Martha's but still have the advantages of a separate quiet pool. Food very good and variatied, lots of choice for adults and our 2year old, Corona measures in place. The personnel at the restaurant is super nice. Mini disco in the evening and this week we also saw a Parrot show and a reptile show (animation shows are too late for the little one, but they are organised every evening).
Super service!!! Great job Bluesea!!!

Best Resort in Cala D'or, Mallorca

This Resort has got to be what are the best I've ever seen. The staff are so incredibly friendly own the moment to you enter the resort until the sad day you leave. The Sunflower Yang yard is recognised here at the resort by the staff.

Entertainment at the result is varied but on site entertainment team are some of the best there is mini disco for kids every night activities for kids during the day full entertainment in the evening for families & adults.

Do to my autism I am very critical of standards but I cannot find any fault with this hotel it is amazing hence why last year five times in one season this year even though it is short because of covid-19 I still got five weeks book throughout the season.

The apartments are basic which I find very typical all Spain each room has bed kitchen and living room kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery plates, cooker, microwave & fridge. Each room has fully working air conditioning which is amazing for the heat in Spain. The restaurant has a buffet-style layout which starts with breakfast morning snack lunch afternoon snack evening meal for all of you that book Half-Board or All Inclusive.

The resort has 3 outdoor pools 1 indoor pool, wall climbing, shooting, archery 🏹 & loads of daily competitions throughout each day.

The resort has a all day restaurant from 9am to midnight for sale of food, the main bar is open from 10am to midnight but All Inclusive finishes at 11pm. Currently due to the Spanish Law the nightclub is currently shut due to Covide19 (but is constantly getting review) on-site face masks are required for collecting food all collecting drinks at the bar and obviously on any public street it is required to be warn.

The buffet style restaurant has 2 themed nights Spanish night and Chinese night. The kitchen staff are extremely helpful when it comes to helping with bland meals as they will always help as much as possible (example in my case I hate meat with any sauce on so they will give me the same meal on buffet-style but without the sauce so it is plain)

The All Inclusive Times are:-
Breakfast 08:00 to 10:00
Morning Snack 11:00 to 12:00
Lunch 13:00 to 15:00
Afternoon snack 16:00 to 1800
Evening Meal 19:00 to 21:00

The All Inclusive times for alcohol are
10:00 to 23:00 there is a €1 deposit for your cup with you get back when you hand the cup back.
