COVID-19 has not been easy for me, as well as for anyone else I believe. I was looking for a way to de-stress as it was impossible to travel anywhere. Came upon Blue Sky Escapes and never looked back since. They offered me a Tibetan Bowl Sound experience that sent me to a whole new realm. I felt so so soothed and grounded. The service offered is amazing! I liaised with both Nicola and Crystal and they never failed to offer me bespoke experiences that have been meticulously curated. Very fast reply and they take very serious note on your request and concern. On top of that, they offered a complimentary embodied movement with a highly renowned practitioner (trust me, I googled him before) which brought me a new sense of life. I will continue to book my experience through BSE and hopefully when travel is allowed, travel of a lifetime :)

Absolutely no regrets entrusting our honeymoon in Bhutan to Blue Sky Escapes. They customized the itinerary to our interests, and there were exclusive touches that made the trip feel incredibly special. The guide Tshering and driver were exceptional, going out of the way to make us feel comfortable at all times. The two day hike to Tigers Nest was particularly spectacular, as were the special prayers organized for us when we arrived at the temple. We also enjoyed the heart warming experience at a homestay where we got to make beef momos and spend time with a local family. All in all a smooth sailing, professionally-organised trip arranged by a team that provides service beyond the ordinary.

Planning a holiday has never been so easy and enjoyable! We picked a place, in this case, Hanoi, and BSE curated a beautiful itinerary from start to finish, taking into account what we wanted to see, experience and enjoy and it was completely hassle-free. Never had we felt so pampered!

A trip to remember! So pleased we chose to spend our honeymoon in Bhutan with BSE. The journey curated by BSE was the perfect blend of adventure, culture and wellness. Our top highlights include the bike ride to Punakah valley (what a thrill!), the Amankora, Punakah dzong and golden stupa temple, trekking in the Bhutanese Himalayas, meditation class (particularly the opportunity to visit such a sacred temple), Chele La Pass and visiting the nunnery, Tiger’s Nest and doctor consultations and treatments at the Bhutan spirit sanctuary : ) A massive thank you to the BSE for making this trip truly one to remember.

We had the most enjoyable vacation with Blue Sky Escapes in Yunnan! We loved the experiences they have specially curated for us, particularly cheese making with a local Bai lady in Xi Zhou and the home cooked vegetarian dishes at a local Nunnery near Sha Xi. We also enjoyed the hotels which were specially picked for us - one was particularly quaint, one was modern and beautiful and one had stunning views. Our guide was very helpful as well. Highly recommended!!! Can’t wait to go on another Blue Sky Escapes trip!

Amazing holiday - carefully curated from start to finish and executed with great attention to detail. The team at Blue Sky Escapes were fantastic in putting together a trip for us in China on relatively short notice - they tailored it to meet our specific interests and requests (to cover nature, culture, and some shopping...). We didn't have to worry about anything and all transfers/pick ups were very smooth, with guides that spoke perfect English and very good drivers. We loved the various hotels that were recommended and the cultural events & sight seeing was amazing! There was great flexibility throughout our trip and the team was always available to assist with anything we needed or make any changes on the spot! Overall a really unforgettable experience. We also had a very dedicated team which constantly looked out for our safety. Our guide, Dorji, was very knowledgeable and was always around to ensure that we had everything we needed. Our driver, Singye, was very skillful, friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend any of my friends to use their services.

Our experience with Blue Sky Escapes was exceptional.

We wanted a honeymoon with luxe lodging and unique hiking trails, and we received so much more. The incredibly well curated and thoughtfully planned itinerary went beyond our expectations. Even more importantly, we were very well looked after by our allocated guide, Tshering ('Japay'), who was simply outstanding in every way. He not only had a great temperament and easy sense of humour, but left such an indelible impression on us, that we would only want him as our guide for future trips to Bhutan.

This was truly an unforgettable experience, and one for the record books.

My son and I have recently traveled to Bhutan and would highly recommend this trip to others who love adventure and learning about different places in the world.
I am aware Bhutan is not a cheap country to travel in. Considering we as tourists contributing to the country I am happy to pay to support this. Certainly worth saving up to be able to come to this great country. My trip to Bhutan with my son, arranged through Blue Sky Escapes has been a trip of a lifetime for me. Lots of variety in places we stayed, great selection of areas to travel to, wonderful guides and driver and I'll certainly be recommending this wonderful adventure to my friends who love learning about culture and enjoying lots of walking AND climbing!

I just loved my visit to Aum Choeday's, every bit about it, the welcoming hospitality, her cooking was amazing, the hot stone baths, checking out the farm life in the morning and walking around the garden. I love feeling part of the country I visit, so this was a great introduction. Forgot to mention those incredible steep steps up to our room! Highly recommended!

Lhab Tshering: Lhab was fantastic. I learnt so much from him. I was very sorry to say goodbye to night as he had to leave us. Lhab guided me on my own on two walks which I loved. I would ask him to sing as we walked, some in English and in Bhutanese. He was fun to be with, very caring checking we were ok and the Company is very lucky to have him on the team. Bhu Tashi: Namgay has been a wonderful guide also. He is very knowledgeable and taught me so much about his country, the culture and the people. We had a lot of fun with him, and I loved how he was always keeping an eye on me and making sure everything was going well. The 3 staff, Lhab, Namgay and Phub were just terrific. 10/10!! Blue Sky Escapes clearly selected just the right people for the job, who love their work, are highly professional and great to travel with! Thanks to you all :)

Migration on a bullock cart, herding calves for milking, riding horses for hours over vast, rolling Mongolian grass plains (and we don't mean trotting around in a fixed circuit with twenty other tourists), picking Boggie (the little Mongolian boy in the family we lived with) out of every heap of cow dung he could find to jump into, and even a magic ger. Thank you Krystal for the wonderful trip last October and we are so grateful we reached out to Blue Sky for a dramatic, real, life-changing (insert other hyperbolic adjectives) experience - we are looking forward to Bhutan (I saw the wild hemp growing on the sides of the roads) and Peru!

Excellence in Planning!

Blue Sky Escapes helped my husband and I plan our first trip to Machu Picchu! They took into account our novice nature in hiking, individual dietary restrictions etc and planned the most seamless experience for us. Going on a Peruvian adventure is quite daunting as is because of the numerous places and things to see, these guys got us the best tour guide, who made sure we didn't miss a thing. They planned out a detailed itinerary with restaurant recommendations and packing suggestions which made life very easy for us. I would highly recommend them no matter what kind of adventure you are planning to embark on.

The team at Blue Sky Escapes planned a customised Bhutan trip for our group of 5, taking into account numerous individual requests e.g. dietary restrictions, need for WiFi in the hotel, less strenuous hikes for the less fit, post-hike massages, etc. I highly recommend them for a seamless and well-planned trip itinerary + coordination.

BSE planned our Bhutan trip and it was amazing. They arranged several uniquely local experiences for us (e.g. milking a cow and sampling local Bhutanese dumplings) and we really liked the tour guide BSE personally picked for us. We had a private van - every morning when we entered the van it was spanking clean. The driver and tour guide (arranged by BSE) were very accommodating and helpful. We had a good mix of activities, did some off the beaten track hikes and BSE really tailored the holiday to suit our individual needs (e.g took into consideration our preferences, fitness levels, scheduling constraints etc). I had a stellar time travelling in Bhutan with Blue Sky Escapes. They really took the time to tailor a bespoke experience for me by talking through with me my expectations of the trip. I visited many places that were off the beaten track thanks to Blue Sky who took care to make the necessary arrangements. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a rugged, immersive experience in an exotic country that's not the usual tourist fare.
