Very happy with program (smart book) and final product. Would be wonderful in the program to be able to measure (or set) the gaps between photos.

My biggest challenge with my first-time project was choosing the paper type.
I initially ordered a book with the Mohawk Superfine Eggshell, thinking it would be an eggshell finish (a very slight sheen). The book paper came with a matte finish and an eggshell textural “feel”. Revisiting the Blurb website, the book came exactly as advertised; “uncoated paper" (meaning MATTE) "with eggshell texture" (meaning FEEL). While the paper may be archival quality, the matte finish do not compliment the photos. Image sharpness seemed to suffer and colours were less than vibrant. My order included the hardcover with image wrap. I was very happy with this choice. Edging and binding very professional. My rating with that order was 3 stars.
A month later I reordered the same project with hard cover, image wrap and Premium Lustre paper (slight sheen and smooth feel). Being able to compare the two books side by side I noticed a marked improvement (for my personal taste). Photo sharpness appeared crisper and colours seemed more vibrant and rich. The hard cover, again, gets good marks like the first book. The second book gets this 4 star ranking. This will be my configuration for my next photo book project. Unfortunately, it was an expensive trial & error process.
Suggestion: For future “first-time” customers, it would be helpful to offer a mail-out sample paper option that includes a 4”x6” sample of each 5 types of paper c/w paper-type label and a colour/B&W image. This will allow for a side-by-side comparison of paper weight, texture, finish and image quality.

Only issue, Fedex or equivalent, left the parcel at the driveway entrance on a garbage can under heavy rain. We were not home that day. Lucky that the book was wrapped in plastic and my neighbours picked the parcel up.

Blurb.com in March 2022 published the "Archer Family Christmas 2021" book, the seventh book that I have had published by this excellent and outstanding printer. Making a book illustrated with photos was a great way to document my early years. It will be a gift to my kids. Blurb let me make it happen.

What was printed was what I submitted. Any errors in spelling and formating were mine. The only regret is that, based on my uneducated formatting, part of the cover had script in the curve by the bonding side. My fault or could there have been a warning issued ???

I really appreciate that Blurb allows you to upload a PDF file. This allows me to use Pages on my IPad to create the photo book, convert it to a PDF and upload it to Blurb. The upload process is fairly easy. Blurb provides guidelines for size and layout and even automatically fixes some minor errors. Ordering is easy and my book came in about 10 days.

Softcover of one of the books was folded upon receipt.

My two books came with printing problems. The second print had problems too. The third printing is still problematic!!

I don't know if I'll receive perfect printed books one day.

Blurb does a really goo job at making books, the site is easy to use and delivery is usually quite swift. My only concern would be that the colours are not always as bright as the originals. Blurb delivers a good product.
