I have recently traded up to a newer…

I have recently traded up to a newer used model GS using BMW Motorrad & the local dealer franchise, Sycamore BMW (Witham, Essex). GS came with a comprehensive BMW 2 year warranty. It developed a battery fault 8 weeks on. Sycamore BMW collected the bike replacing it without issue. Also, assisted me with a couple of other matters.
Overall, despite the usual BMW expense price wise, the whole GS procurement experience has been very positive. The customer service and their Team esprit de corps cannot be praised highly enough. I will continue to use their services without issue.

Never again would I make a purchase purchase…

Never again would I make a purchase through bmw, disgusting service throughout, phone calls never returned, emails never answered, absolute shambolic service after they had taken 30k from me, never ever again, my bike was recovered after a mechanical breakdown, the recovery company who was nominated by bmw then damaged the vehicle during transit back to the dealership, I rang bmw who told me it was nothing to do with them and basically not their problem, the dispute was going on for three months as to who was going to pay for the damage so I was without the vehicle until it was returned to me early January 2024, I contacted both the consumers association and trading law who both investigated this and said because bmw was in a legally binding contract with the recovery company they had a duty to cover the cost of the damage then claim it back from the third party, after many phone calls and a ridiculous amount of sent emails I managed to eventually get through to the third party and after threatening legal action they agreed to pay for the damage, this whole scenario has caused me alot of stress and anxiety, I then received a customer satisfactory survey to which I explained my thoughts and in that survey it said would you like for someone from bmw to contact you to which I replied yes and surprise surprise no one ever did!!!!!

Over a month to replace an Alternator

Over a month to replace an Alternator
I own a K1300S that was bought with 2 years BMW warranty. Two weeks before a planned trip to europe the Alternator failed. No problem I thought just take it to my local dealer. To cut a long story short, the two weeks leading to the holiday went. I took a 36 year old Brick on the 2000m trip to europe and when I returned I was told the bike had just been finished.
It had taken more than a month to get the part from Germany.
A part which I think should be held in the Uk. The worst part was my service advisor was made to look an idiot because he had no information to pass on.
I emailed Customer support three weeks ago and I'm still waiting fo a reply
I filled in the online satisfaction survey. No reply there either.
Shocking service from Motorrad UK and BMW parts supply
And an even worse response from customer services
Abysmal customer service all round with no reasons or excuses given😡😡😡😡😡
This is the customer support I would have expected from British Leyland in the 1070s
