Great trail lovely huts, pretty easy booking process, but obviously a bit of a mark up compared with booking it myself, I guess that's the cost of convenience. Your app should have graphs with stan... See more

Great experience
It was all great and so smooth! The guide was really good and had everything you needed, and the huts we stayed at were excellent and everything was prepared when we arrived with food and beds.
If anything the hike was more difficult than described.

Amazing experience
Amazing experience, from booking to the experience and all bookings along the trek were flawless. Thank you.
Enjoyed the accommodation at Rifugios with less people, such a personal touch.
Thank you 🙏

Good but not as advertised
Overall the TMB West tour was fine and went smoothly.
Accomodation was as expected for mountain refuges (good food, good company and very little sleep). We enjoyed staying at Auberge du Truc, Elisabetta and Maison Vielle.
Our main disappointment was that Bookatrekking did not provide the advertised accommodation.
They took the deposit and then replaced the Bonhomme refuge for a hotel in Bourg St Maurice. Chatting to others we got the impression this happens pretty frequently. On the plus side Bookatrekking did lay on a taxi but we only knew this was being done that a few weeks before the trip.
If this happens be aware that:
* Auberge du Truc to Les Chapieux on day 2 is a 24km hike so we had a long tough day (though an easier next day)
* The Base Lodge Hotel in Bourg St Maurice had great food but the 4 bed dorm room in the basement was baking-hot (no a/c or window). Very uncomfortable.
* The next day's taxi transfer was early at 0645 and the trip to the Elisabetta was pretty short given the extra 5km done on the previous day. We arrived for an early lunch,
Bookatrekking were reasonable value but if we'd known they too could not get the Bonhomme/Nova refuges we would have done our own booking and saved ourselves some money.

Highly recommend the Peter Habeler Runde
The Peter Habeler Runde was an amazing experience! The app was very helpful for navigation and proving alternate routes (which we ended up using). The only thing we wished was I closed was more about the flora/fauna to avoid. Such as any poisonous snakes or plants.

Too short
This is billed as a two-day hike but it can easily be done in one day. The first day hike is short, after a walk to the other side of the lake, it’s an hour or so up the mountain to the hut. The easy route option for day 2 is just the same route from day 1 in reverse. I wanted to do the longer, different route but I wasn’t sure I’d have time to make my train if I stayed at the hut. Since I was there so early I opted to finish the day 2 hike in one trip. It was more demanding but even after stopping for lunch I was finished with both hikes in less than five hours. If you are traveling a longer distance to get here, know that you can reach the hut in under two hours with a steady pace. I was coming from Innsbruck so I arrived the day before. Had I known how easy the hike was, I would have stayed another day in Innsbruck and arrived the day of the hut stay.
The lake is beautiful and worth the visit The hut did seem very nice as well. The food smelled delicious and the folks there were very kind. My issue for this hike lies solely with Bookatrekking and my experience dealing with them.
Final note: The local buses are very strict. You have to reserve a spot online before you get on. I saw numerous people turned away from empty buses because they didn’t book online. There is an info booth at the lake that will also sell you a ticket. They can also change the time for your bus ticket if you need it.

The hiking was fabulous
The hiking was fabulous. Wasn’t impressed by a couple of Rifugio’s. The food was very minimal. Really not enough to keep you going. Especially for what we were paying. Glad we brought some things. Also the communication with life hike wasn’t the best. It’s unfortunate booking had to contract out with them. last year‘s trip in the dolomites was much more organized and ran way smoother.

trails very easy to follow
trails very easy to follow. slight discrepancy between recorded journey distance and elevation between the app and Garmin. major concerns: forced via Ferrata given the alternate route was disrupted by a landslide. no forewarning and therefore no appropriate gear. Also, the last accommodation had a 2000+ person alpine club festival going on. there were significant delays in getting into the accomodation forcing us to wait outdoors in the rain, and no lunch on offer. The staff said they informed Bookatrekking - this was not passed on. Otherwise the app was very easy to use, the accomodations were great, and the maps being accessible on smartwatches was awesome.
Edit: the final rifugio stated they informed Bookatrekking of the festival. Bookatrekking denies this. I think communication needs to be prioritised!

Bookatrekking made our adventure very…
Bookatrekking made our adventure very easy. The app is great, the GPX files useful, and the booking service top notch. I would not hesitate to go with them again.

We loved this trek
We loved this trek. Our family of four with teen boys (14 and 16years old) found this to be the right mix of adventure, challenge and beauty. The three huts all have a very different feel and we appreciated the variety of the huts. Chiaggatii (night 2) is not to be missed and is possibly the most beautiful place on the planet! Dinner and lunch/snacks were amazing. Breakfasts were all pretty minimal. We did have to pay for water at most huts and spent more than we expected but were able to use credit cards. The route finding on the app was easy to follow and stay on course, although we found that we hiked 10-15% more than the mileage quoted. Hiking day 3-the upper route is the best option. It is well marked and while there are fixed cables, the exposure is very limited and minimal and there are no technical moves. Anyone that is relatively comfortable in the mountains will do fine on this route. The lower route was not well marked and easy to get lost. Day 4. The ski lift was running and we were able to pay 11Euros to ride the alpine slide (with our packs) into the town of auronzo. This was a great way to end the trek! We loved the town of auronzo and stayed there before and after the trek as we wanted to avoid the business of cortina. Public transit from Auronzo to the start of the trek was straight forward. We also took public transport to Tri Cime that was a great day trip addition from Auronzo. Thank you for an unforgettable easy to organize family trip!

Excellent booking company
Coming from Australia the communication and app we're excellent in helping us organise for and get to the start of the hike. Great communication throughout preparation and the hike itself, and the app was had excellent offline navigation whilst on the hike. Would highly recommend Bookatrekking for your dolomites hike!

Will definitely be using Bookatrekking again!
The views were amazing and I met lots of great people at the huts. The huts were comfortable and a good temp in the alps. The app made everything from packing to navigating super easy and efficient.

Great trip
Great trip. Bookatrekking took care of all the admin work behind the scenes so we could enjoy our time in the alps. It was amazing! Great huts and useful itinerary that we could use offline.

The experience was brilliant
The experience was brilliant. The hikes stunning. Words and photos don’t do it justice. Map very easy to follow. And very useful app
Only minor niggle.
Needs to a better effort to have more details on each different refuge. Do they have WiFi? Do they take card? Do they speak English? This wouldn’t take much research and would be hugely helpful.

First time, and with kids
First time going hut-to-hut and doing it with kids added another layer of complexity. Booking through this service took away much of the stress but still kept just enough uncertainty to make it a memorable adventure.

It was incredibly easy to book refuges, but some improvements to be made
It was incredibly easy to book refuges through Bookatrekking- saving a lot of time over booking each individually our selves. However, we did have two days with very short distances between refuges and others that were longer than needed. We would have appreciated a bit more balanced distances.
The app, while helpful to navigate the trail, was woefully inaccurate in distances, elevation gain, and time estimates. We were tracking our progress with Garmin GPS and in some cases the distances were off by 5+ KM.
On a final note, our final refuge was too basic and barely staffed. We arrived at 3pm and saw a note that no one was there currently. It took until after 6 for someone to show up. We then learned that we needed to pay for blankets and we were responsible for washing our dishes. Unlike all the other refuges there wasn't a bar/counter service to grab a beer or a snack.
