BookDeal made this so easy. I would definitely recommend them.
This was my first time selling back textbooks on any platform. The process was pretty simple and straight forward:
I contacted customer service a few times to understand the steps after accepting the deal I had made and shipped them off. All things considered, I’m very pleased with Bookdeal.com
I had lots of textbooks I needed to get rid of and when
I came accross this site it was the best discovery I ever made! Instead of them continuing to collect dust I was able to trade them in for cash. I 10/10 would recommend this site to anyone!

Bookdeal lost my book in the mail and then refused to pay me for it.

I recently finished law school and decided to sell my old case books to free up some space in my office. Other book selling sites quoted nearly me half of what I received with BookDeal ($40.23; $75.13). I was paid within a week (or so) of sending my books off. Highly recommend.

Very easy to figure out how to return the book I had. I simply mailed it and then got paid for it!

I was given much larger quotes for my text books than what they actually paid me after I shipped them. This seems like bait and switch.

The process was straightforward and shipping was paid by the company. It was easy to check the website to see that the books were on the way to the company. I chose the Venmo option and money was paid to my account 15 days after mailing the books.

Once we figured out how BookDeal worked the process was smooth and efficient! Will use and recommend for future use!

Textbook Maniac through BookDeal is committing mail fraud. Textbook Maniac through BookDeal agreed to buy 6 books of mine for $61. My book deal number is 266877810 and the date of the deal was May 28. On June 1 I mailed the books with the prepaid mailing label from USPS. On June 7, Textbook Maniac said, "Package was damaged in shipment and empty when received it." This is false and is mail fraud. They said they my book deal was adjusted to $0. Per BookDeal's policy if the buyer rejects the books, they will mail them back to the seller. Since the box was "empty" they get to keep the books and do not have to pay me. My local post office said they have no record of the box arriving damaged, opened, or empty. Someone at Textbook Maniac accepted the box as is without notting any damage. I researched reviews for BookDeal and Textbook Maniac (including the F rating for Textbook Maniac through the Better Business Bureau). It appears that exact and similar complaints as mine have been made since 2019. This is mail fraud. I am filing a case with the federal government as both of these companies are involved in deceitfully and intentionally stealing books from people. I have also filed a complaint/reviews with various fraud sites and will do so with Better Business Bureau as well. BookDeal knows that this is happening and yet they continue to let Textbook Maniac work as a buyer on their site. They are complicit in this. I demand that the agreed upon $61 be paid to me asap.
Edit June 12: They sent me an email saying if I take down this review they will pay me the agreed upon amount.
Edit June 17: I took this review down because bookdeal said they would not refund me until I did so. After I took the review down they refunded my money and I decided to repost it with this edit. These are unethical business practices.

The process is easy and the service respond to my question quickly. And bookdeal is the only dealer I found that can pay through zelle! I am glad that I don’t need to post in Facebook group. Bookdeal saves my time and money!
