Used this for the first time on the…
Used this for the first time on the recommendation from a pal. Booked a MOT and full service with a local garage. Two days hence still no word from the garage. I read a few reviews and they stated that this is not a booking site but a request site. Book my garage does not have live access to the garages diary, so you request a spot nothing is confirmed.

To clarify, Book My Garage does not directly integrate with garages’ live diaries. However, every garage has access to a dedicated portal where they are responsible for keeping key information such as pricing and availability up to date, so availability should be as accurate as possible.
Garages are also encouraged to contact customers within 4 working hours of a booking request, and we’re sorry that this didn’t happen on this occasion.
We’ll be investigating this internally with the garage involved to ensure this is addressed and to help prevent it happening again.

Quick and efficient!
Booked my MOT at short notice on a Friday evening for a Saturday and it all ran really well with the garage giving me an 11am appointment and keeping to time.

Cancelled on the day..
All booked online for a coolant flush at home. No contact prior to the day. Sent a message to the mobile number on the booking and he asks me, did I confirm availability with a couple of named individuals. No says I, I just filled in the online booking sheet, then silence until I get an email today, the day of the booking, that the job has been cancelled.
Garbage. Not recommended. Speak to some actual people to book your work.
#Update. Detail of the booking provided - even though they sent me the cancellation notice this morning. How many coolant flushes were cancelled today (roll eyes emoji)...? Anyway - the coolant flush quote was for £80. Just booked with a well known tyre and servicing provider who "fitquick" - for £47. Not as convenient for me, but £33 saving.

Interesting - same old, shift blame to the consumer. I DID reach out to the garage directly, as per your booking confirmation, at which point, as I describe above I was asked if I had confirmed anything with a couple of named individuals. Anyway - I've got plenty of time for more back and forth, but it's as simple as - I did exactly what I was meant to according to your guidance, but the booking was cancelled on the day.
