Today I completed my first ever Driving test, and I passed with 0 Minors! I have an extremely nervous and a low confidence personality and was very nervous before my first lesson back in February. My instructor Jools was absolutely brilliant, he helped me grow and develop my confidence so well, I cannot recommend him and the company enough. He is an extremely calm, funny, very friendly and very intelligent instructor. For months he had to put up with my silly errors, however after I made them, he was so positive which really helped me maintain my confidence and belief up to today where I passed first time! If you are considering multiple instructors or just looking for one in general, I highly recommend you consider Jools and Boom, an absolutely brilliant company and Jools, who has raised my confidence so well and made me feel so comfortable during lessons!

Jools is fabulous! I'm 38 years old and have always had a fear of driving. I decided to finally take lessons after a recommendation from a friend that Jools would be a great person to learn with as a nervous learner. I have had 10 hours with him now and I have come on leaps and bounds! Jools is calm, approachable, professional yet really chilled out, very patient and he's encouraging for you to ask all the questions you need to but most of all he really does care about his students. Sadly I am moving area so I won't be able to finish my lessons with him but he has given me some great advice going forward. I'm very grateful to have met Jools for the confidence he has given me to continue with my lessons when I move area.

Wow. I am so happy that I passed my driving test first time. I want to say a special thanks to my instructor Sophie, she was calm, smart, patient, funny and excellent. She helped me ease into each lesson and gave me accurate instructions on what to do to pass my test first time. Thanks to Boom driving school and all their great instructors. I will surely recommend.

Manuela was a wonderful instructor. She was patient, calm and composed. I would highly recommend her.

So SO glad I discovered Boom and Sophie for driving lessons (well - my partner found them, and he's loving his lessons with Sophie as well). Sophie is an incredibly patient and clear teacher. She explains things well and also uses visuals, and then we would always take the time to talk through tricky scenarios after we had done them. Sophie was also quick to figure me out. I can get very nervous driving and be a bit of a perfectionist (which hurts my confidence), and Sophie was very very good at not letting me get into my own head and helping me feel more confident and control my nerves. I passed yesterday on my first attempt with two minors. I was VERY nervous leading up but Sophie did a great job keeping me calm right before. And I knew Sophie would only encourage me to do the test if she thought I could pass. And that was her reaction as well - "I knew you could do it!" I've enjoyed our lessons so much and learned a ton and I'm actually going to take a few more (for some motorway experience!). All in all, fantastic. Couldn't recommend more.

Honestly, I couldn’t thank Sophie enough! I’ve had previous experience in driving but I needed some more lessons to be familiar with Banbury test routes and brush up on my weaknesses. Sophie was not only very helpful but also calm and reassuring. She put me at ease and made my driving experience feel like a walk in the park. Sophie has a lovely personality, chatty, kind and funny! This added to my whole experience and made it the best it can be. Her pointers and personalised tips were easy to remember and extremely beneficial to me. I passed my driving test yesterday and am honestly over the moon and I recommend Sophie very much! :)

Sophie has been a fantastic driving instructor, I immediately felt at ease around her and she was very patient and clear when explaining and correcting mistakes. I passed first time and this was definitely because of the confidence I gained through lessons with Sophie, she has been amazing.

I started having lessons with Manuela from Boom Banbury in October 2023, I was super nervous from a bad experience with my previous instructor. Manuela was great at boosting my confidence, making me believe that I can drive! Manuela was calm when teaching me and used teaching techniques which suited me best. She was patient with me and allowed me to improve, with reassurance along the way. I passed my driving test on 9/05 first time with only 1 minor, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Manuela’s support and guidance.
I would highly recommend learning to drive with Manuela :)

Do not trust this man Neil with your money, he took alot of peoples money with his last driving school from peope then ran off with it and now its in administration and i have lost over £1,000 for my paramedic training that i cant get back and been left without my C1 license, he is a snake! I will not stop until i get my money back, so many people are left without training and money he took knowing the business was failing and set up Boom. Just look him up on companies house and see how many companies he has dissolved!!!

Yes by name this is a different company but owned by the same man, no hiding from it Neil, they are coming back saying its not the same company, no its just a new one you set up knowing the other one was failing!!! same guy

Driving instructor ( Richard ) helped me over the past few months and was a great instructor.

Richard was a wonderful driving instructor, Who would pay close attention to my driving at all times. He would always point out parts of my driving that was good and things I could improve on. He would also make sure that I improved on my independent driving by allowing me a choice of assistance depending on how confident I felt. I was able to progress very quickly with Richard allowing me to pass my practical test first try. I would definitely recommend boom driving to anyone considering driving a car.

I had a great experience with Boom Driving School. My instructor Jools explained everything thoroughly and was calm, kind, and patient. I had driving lessons before Boom due to moving around, but Jools was by far the best instructor I have had. I would highly recommend him to anyone, particularly to any nervous drivers as he really helped to build my confidence!

My instructor has given me extremely good advice which has helped me progress very quickly into a mature driver.

Had a blast with Boom Driving School! Receptionists are super nice, always made me feel welcome. And my instructor? Sophie is an absolute legend! Patient, skilled, and got me road-ready. Feeling like a pro behind the wheel now. Highly recommend these guys for anyone wanting to ace their driving game!

I have had many lessons with boom and all have been great, From me being a nervous beginner to my test in a couple of weeks I am pretty sure I will pass first time. Sophie has been a great instructor, she thoroughly explains everything in an easy to understand way. If mistakes are made by myself then sophie makes it easy to understand why they happened. Always on time and flexibility over lesson time is brilliant. I cannot fault Boom and especially Sophie. Thoroughly Recommend to anyone wanting to learn

I am currently having driving lessons with Sophie from boom driving school Since having driving lessons with Sophie I have learned so much and have became more confident driving, I have struggled with my confidents and I am a bit of a slow learner but my instructor sophie explains everything to me in a way I understand, let's me develop my skills in my own time and is getting me ready for my driving test.
Would recommended Sophie and doom driving school to anyone looking to learn to drive or improve there skills

Great at pretty much everything! The teachers are friendly, patient and constructive, they always have an idea of where you are at from lesson to lesson and are great at giving help!

A great experience. Boom! gave me a level of training that gave me complete confidence in my abilities going into the test. The key points that you need to pass became simply part of the way I drive and will stay with me as I drive with a full licence. Thanks Boom!

I am thrilled to share that I passed my driving test today with only 3 minors! All thanks to the amazing Sophie! Despite having tried various instructors in the past, Sophie was the one who made me test-ready with just 10 hours of practice. She was extremely patient and supportive throughout the learning process, which made it both enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend Boom Driving School for their great team, including Ian who conducted my mock test and Jess who is always available to help over the phone. Thank you, BOOM!!!
